Keyblade Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Hello Keyblade here and I've been lurking for awhile, made a account awhile back and gonna be a bit more active since I want to up my game a bit more. I love me some P4A and use Yosuke, Naoto and a bit of Akihiko. After seeing a bit of Blazblue I decided to pre-order Chrono Phantasma and want to learn Makoto and Noel (this will be my first time playing lol) so I'm wondering if I should get Extend and get some practice in. So I'll try not to be a pest by asking questions so much lol but I'm really looking forward to learning the game. I'm on PSN as I don't have much for 360 yet but soon will, here's to hoping we have a great start!

Even though the game got faster in CP, and most characters received some fairly major changes, it's still the same game. You can use Extend to get comfortable with your character's options, and mess around with other characters to see what they are capable of. If you do go this route, remember that most of Noel and Makoto's combo routes have changed, but you can still grind their old combos to improve your execution and help you adjust to CP more quickly (particularly in Makoto's case, since most of a new Makoto player's troubles come from timing her drive moves).
swordsman09 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Makoto's actually not too different in CP from what I hear so learning old combo routes could help you out. Some people are good with that but others are PISSED about that as well. Noel however is changed a lot like Celerity said.
Keyblade Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 Ah I see, I just thought that getting/playing Extend will help me get my feet wet for when CP drops. If it isn't too troublesome then I'll go on and grab it.
Bloo561 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 You know who I am dude when you're up for a fight message me man I like fighting similar level fighters.

As I said before, Makoto isn't changed that much so you shouldn't worry about it too much.

Alright, long as I get comfortable with the gameplay and stuff period the changes won't be too hard to get use to.
