Shingin Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) [2/20/2014 Updates] 20 Teams registered [2/16/2014 Updates] Casuals will be set up on Friday 4-8 setups depending on room available. Side stream announcement will be next week. 14 teams are registered for the tournament. Today is the last day for standard registration until 11:59pm Edited March 2, 2014 by Shingin
No Limitz Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Oh god random stages. If both teams/parties agree to it, can we just pick the stage?
Tari Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 (edited) I'm seconding that request. On that note, can we at the very least agree to veto the Extreme Evolution stages? I'd really appreciate not having to play on two completely broken stages. edit: Thanks for the clarification, Shingin. I'd almost push for a day-of vote, but that would be messy. I don't think all the registered players necessarily know how to play the game or know about that Facebook page linked above, though. Edited February 24, 2014 by Tari correcting stuff
Shingin Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 I'm not against it we just need everyone to vote on it since on day 1 of registration the rule was set to random select.
Shingin Posted February 24, 2014 Author Posted February 24, 2014 I've sent a email to players who've entered please read the email and reply to me.

donkey show Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Congrats to Yoyolan's team and everyone who participated yesterday! Was a great watch, so much props to Brett, Shingin, Tari, Automaticcat, and all involved with getting it set up. Awesome stuff!
brett_ Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 To everyone who came out to SCR: Thanks so much for coming out and helping represent the scene! I hope everyone had a fun time, and I'm particularly happy with the games we were able to show - the top 8 especially was definitely something to be proud of, and every team in top 8 was definitely earned it's way there! All I can say is that EXVSFB @ SCR was a HUGE success, and hopefully only the first of many to come . Shoutouts: Calgary and Vancouver players for flying out here - hope to see you guys again in the future! HDKirin - thanks for showing up even though your partner couldn't make it! gmcustom - coolest dude by far team sadface - you guys made our day, for real. you guys seriously looked like you were having the funnest time, I really hope you guys keep playing, and we even rewatched your matches in the car multiple times because they were that awesome :D Socal Teams - really loved watching you guys play, it's a real pleasure to see the growth of the players every time I come down Yoyolon / LastInnovator - thanks a ton for coming out! grats on winning, and hope to see you guys next time :D all of the people who came to say hi to me - It means a lot to meet many of you in person, truly, so thank you all shtkn - thanks for being a boss and running a bracket for this game :D kenjiyamato - thanks for being a volunteer and helping out when we needed it
HDKirin Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Yes, SCR was definitely amazing this year & a great way to start off the EXVSFB scene at a major! I definitely had a lot of fun and met a lot of amazing people. Thank you especially to Shingin for helping me find an on-site partner on the day of EXVSFB Pools so I didn't have to forfeit the tournament altogether. Shoutouts to Brett, Tari, AutomaticCat, & Jehuty for dinner on Thursday night & helping things run smoothly during the tournament; I was pretty surprised to see that only a few things broke and they didn't take too long to fix at all. More shoutouts: All the individuals from Canada were great. We all feel extremely honored for you guys to make the journey down here to represent your country in this game! You all played very well & we hope to see you again soon! AcidAce for yelling PSYCHO JAMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA whenever a Rozen Zulu was on-screen. We were both sad that we didn't get to see any Dragon Gundams for the even more annoying Mermaid Gundam assist. Team Sadface for showing us that victory is also attainable to everyone through entertainment. We loved your playstyle & silly antics in your matches; Turn A nuke cancels into another nuke animation was A+. NorCal & SoCal teams both had a very strong showing & the rivalry lives on. Let's add on more new teams & people to both sections everyone! shtkn - I saw you but I never got the chance to introduce myself & talk to you there because I didn't even know that was you! I don't follow the FGC scene as much as I should, but my sincerest thanks for helping the brackets run smoothly and getting through pools in fairly good time! We were really ahead of schedule thanks to you =) Kenji for just being awesome at making sure everyone needed to be where they were at & helping out new players at teaching them the game, as well as making sure to get button configs done as soon as possible. Yoyolon & LastInnovator for just showing what it takes to be one of the best at this game. I honestly have to hand it off to you guys for giving us all a first-hand demonstration of what we should all be striving for if we want to win these tournaments. Amazing demonstration of skill from both of you & I hope that'll be the first of many showings from you guys to come! I know I'm probably forgetting A LOT of people here, but know that I am thrilled to have met all of you and hope to see you guys soon. I'll definitely try to make it out to more EXVSFB events, especially if they're from the local area
RaptorIIC Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks for the great tourney! It was insanely well run and we all had a blast in both GG and EXVSFB. If you do another big event, we'd all definitely come again.
