Beginner, going to make an honest attempt at BB with a friend. Will I find any other beginners/mentors on CS Extend or will we need to get CP?

Hi guys,

 

I've dabbled a bit with BlazBlue off and on over years (CT and CS) and, inspired by EVO, I'd like to really get into the game now. I've always enjoyed the game but never "stuck with it" while trying to practice the combos and make the leap from beginner to intermediate. A friend of mine (totally new to BB) is also eager to get started, and we will be playing on PSN since we don't live near each other anymore.

 

My question is, is the CS Extend community still active enough that we could find some other beginners and/or stronger players to learn from? Or has everyone pretty much moved to CP? CS Extend is only $15 as opposed to $40-50 for CP and might make more sense since in the past I've tended to drop the game and play others after a month or two.

 

Also if anybody is interested in playing I'm happy to share my PSN.

For what I know, everyone moved to CP because of all the new features, new characters and balance.

Its not that unbalanced. And we cant always reference makoto when we mean balance because there games worse than this one to begin wiwith

Fuck kokonoe that character will always have my animosity. Azrael to me is a strong character in a game where many characters have horrible weaknesses, making him godlike. Litchi has everything pretty much lol. But if they cant one-up them, at least a good portion of the cast can contend with them. It shouldnt be that way honestly

Exactly. It's a crying shame. On topic though, idk about psn, but there are a few players on XBL in Extend. Looks like I'll be back that way myself.

Extend balance was better.

 

Most people moved to CP, but you'll be able to find SOME folks in Extend.

I'm going to have to agree with what everyone else has said so far. Everyone seems to have transitioned to CP, I got the game when it came out but I'm still pretty bad at it D;. If you ever pick up CP I'm down to play some :D.

Sounds good, thanks for all the information guys. I'm going to check out the local scene in Kansas City (KC SRK) this weekend--from what I've seen on various forums they look pretty active. If I find myself playing a lot and making progress I'll definitely pick up CP.
