bbq sauce Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 On the subject of new combos, I saw in a video Ragna did 6B>5C>6C>Gauntlet Hades, late followup, 5B>6A - air combo vs crouching Noel. Damage was huge and took no meter.. I'm just wondering if anyone knows does it work on the whole cast, because that would be tits.
Final Ultima Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I've either seen that same video or it's been done on more than one occasion. Either way, the wiki combo list has that very combo and makes no mention of if it's character specific or not. It looks like something that'd work on a fair few characters at least, if not all of them. It's just all about the timing for that Keri Age, much like those beefy throw combos.

Diveman Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Ive got a question about BK corner combo. I´ve seen people do 5D, dash, 5D, etc. But who is this posible? can you do that in normal mode? Does BK gives you another thing besides draining your life and increasing your life recovery, like more untechable time for normals?

And with such incredible untechable time, Blood Kain Ragna can do loops of (j.D, JC, (delay) j.C, j.D, land) x N for at least three loops, possibly more. Not only is it an alternative to the D Loop, so you've got something to do against Tager, but it also reminds me of Sol's old GGXX Dust Loop.

Final Ultima Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Yup, you can combo it in after a 5D up close (I can't recall if you cancel the first or second hit, probably the first) or after a 5D dash cancel in the corner. It's probably better to catch with it bare if you can manage it though.
the8anarchist Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 seeing as Blood Kain doesnt kill your heat gauge like DI did to tension(and seeing as it doesnt have any recovery on coming out of it), could it be possible to activate it, stock another 50% heat and when the state wears off pull it off again? on that note as well in a ragna v ragna mirror could a match go on forever provided they kept BK'ing and pounding the tar out of each other

the8anarchist Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Yes. woot. semi-permanent BK here i come(once i get a chance to play damnit,curse there being no arcades that i know of in my area:arg:) also if its possible then how come no one does this. i mean come on yeah you get your heath drained but the soul eater moves are stupidly powerful and they recoup some serious health

I think I've seen a singular video out of the 200 or so on Geesendou (when I bothered to watch them) where someone used BK twice in one round. The opportunity just doesn't present itself that often. Blood Kain's not really a super where you're like "okay, my first 50% meter! Time to blow it, and half my health bar before my opponent has likely even bursted, so that I have a chance of getting in and doing some damage". There are other, safer ways for Ragna to do his damage, like Gauntlet Hades combos.
