Does anyone know what these mean at all??? I'm a purple square and i don't get if it's a good or bad thing

It's a ranking system used in netplay.

 

Dark blue < light blue < dark green < light green < yellow < orange < pink

White is unranked.

 

You go up in rank after winning 10 matches total against players of your own color, down in rank after losing 10 matches.

It's not pink, it's a...lightish red!
