I've recently been having trouble trying to get in and do damage with Chie. I feel completely out gunned in neutral when playing her. All of her normals seem to have no range what so ever. I am constantly getting hit by other people spamming auto combos like there's no tomorrow. I was wondering what should you do when trying to open up you opponent with her? And once you have them how do you stay in? (oki set ups and such).

Also what do you do with her when your being pressured? She doesn't really have a DP and I don't know what to do when shoved in the corner, This is usually when I get blown up.

I'm used to playing Ragna in BBCP so I'm used to having good normals to poke with, But i have no idea what do to with her.

Thanks in advance

i don't remember chie normals getting that much of a nerfbat

tbh, they're all really good

my first guess is you're not familiar with 5c/j.c, which might not immediately look like excellent pokes and air normals, but are really good and have deceptively good range

It's probably best to ask this in the Chie gameplay discussion thread to get a more detailed answer. But to give a quick, somewhat shallow answer, Chie gets in by having great movement and stays in by using 5A and 2A stagger pressure as well as varying up her pressure in general.

Like I said though, it's best to ask in the Chie forums for more detailed advice. Watching footage of some of the better Chie players is also a good idea that could be very useful. Try browsing Chie's video thread and watching some footage of Kirisame, Tsujikawa and STD. As you watch the footage, pay close attention to how they move.
