LK what do you think is the best motivation for people to improve? How do you lead a community to improve? I say that because to me it feels like BB in Toronto is dead. Actually I say that because it feels like we suck and nobody is improving at all, in fact, people are getting worse. Feels like playing CS1, adapting to your specific character CS2 nerfs, but not taking advantage to the characters buffs and changes to the game system.

you know its true. Items aren't important because they're only specific to certain usage. Shes nowhere like zappa because zappa's summons affects his whole moveset and playstyle. In summary, heres what you do with the items to "use them effectively": Bombs/missiles: just fucking shoot them, you're not going to use them in a combo, you're not going to use them in pressure. bat: spam it like a dp, coz it is. I think its also pretty safe but not sure. frying pan: learn its combos cat hammer: spam as overheads/pokes piko hammer: save it for corner combos Her pressure doesn't rely on her items, her game doesn't fully rely on them either unlike zappa. Her BnBs arent item specific and already do 3-5k in corner easy, and her pressure is autopilot because the bubble prevents tech rolling. Not to mention she has a strong anti air and decent overhead options. She also has a good 5A with lots of reach. oh, and a spinny super which is ambiguous as hell when trying to punish it. she also has random heart car which leads to 7k. she also has random heart car which jumps over certain characters counters she also has random heart car which is air unblockable she also has random heart car which is half screen away she also has random heart car rc which magically becomes a crossover she also has random heart car rc into random heart car she also has random heart car rc into random heart car rc into random heart car I believe you get my point, or do i need to go on? btw i play zappa so i'm offended that you compare a character of that skill level to zappa which requires a lot more skill than platinum will ever require. =(

no you don't have to pay venue fee if you're not playing any of the games/tourneys. But if the certain someone you're coming with ends up winning the tournament, that person is paying it for you. even though theres no prize involved.

Hi guys, popping in for a suggestion on brackets (because I help/run with most tourneys in TO). Not enforcing anything, take it as a general tournament knowledge 1. Seeding - The reason to seed people is not "to help out the better players", nor is it to "create hype later on in the tournament". Its to make the tournament results actually reflect the current standing of the community. If you have top players fight and eliminate each other early, then the results would not reflect the strengths of individual players at all. 2. Regions - Please separate regions. we don't travel to play each other and eliminate each other lol. 3. Pools - Theres no reason to run pools with a small amount of people. "pools allows people to play each other more" and stuff along that line is kinda pointless. This is a tournament, stop wasting time. IMO if you don't have over at least 64 entrants, theres no reason to run pools. It is perfectly reasonable imo to not seed people not in your area unless its like a world known thing (ie, jwong better get seeded). Looking forward to meeting everybody on saturday ^_^ I think it'll definitely be an interesting tournament. Who wants to start some TO/MTL rivalry?
