True.....speaking of buffering....well...it's not so much of buffering....but when someones on the ground, how do you usually approach them? I've just been having bad luck with okizeme.....when wanna throw out a move, when there on the ground and you see them recovering via a neutral roll do you just hope they respect you and guard or is my timing with throwing out moves so bad that they're just able to do whatever anyway? Sorry to make my question simple, when you want your opponent to guard after they've recovered from a ukemi become a guessing game or is there a timing trick for when you should throw out a move and your opponent is then forced to start guarding?
-
So whats important on the timing isn't so much of the input but it's pressing the button that mostly counts?
-
When you're on netplay or in any match? Speaking of timing I guess I have to practice that huh, because even though IB helps you recover faster, you're still in somewhat of a blockstun right?
-
But can I throw out anything and be safe and/or not trade? Like for example can I throw out 5B when IB any of those moves or will I trade with the next thing he throws out?
-
Can you always react with a move afterwards? Maybe it's because it's online but I know with 2D even if IB it seems I always trade with Tager. Same with 5D and Bsledge I know you have to ID since most Tagers like to throw out 5A afterwards to keep you in place.

Also Valkenhayn might not come out tomorrow sadly....ArcSys said Xbox users will have to wait a bit longer. -____-
-
What about blockstrings and anything I can IB and punish? You once said that SB gives Tager the advantage, but it's easy to IB and punish. Anything else I should look out for?
-
Thats.....awful.....especially in a 3D fighting game where you rely on your opponents mistakes to win...
-
I wouldn't say it's really bad.....but it's not as good as CT's unfortunatly.....
-
Yeah....I've noticed....luckily I heard at least ranked matches will be a little better when Valkenhayn's DLC comes out.
-
Well I don't know when but do you think sometime I can verse your Tager? It's one of the few match-ups in the game where I feel like I get completely pummeled. Sad thing is I know Ragna has the advantage in this match-up, but it seems like Tager blockstrings always destroy due to the fact that I don't know what to IB and then counter with ID. Any tips sir?

I won't be getting Reach fortunatly or unfortunatly, I'm not a big Halo fan, not that I hate it, I'm just not big on shooters, hence why I don't play COD, I do like Gears but I'm horrible at the multiplayer (outside of Horde, I'm decent there and Annex is fun), but I do really like the campaign, the story is pretty awesome. Only other shooter I really do love is Resident Evil, 5 was awesome and underrated imo. It's a wonder how I had the patience to get all of the Versus achievements since Versus mode is SO SO broken.... And no matter how much you think you suck at Halo, I'm likely to be much worse than you are. Although Halo is a fun game either way I must admit.

I love Smash Bros as a game, but I could never see it as a competitive fighting game. Sure competitive melee was pretty entertaining, but to me it was always more fun just to play with three other friends and just laugh our asses off (Full Jiggly mirror match FTW?). And perhaps thats why I always enjoyed Brawl more than Melee....that and the fact that Pikachu was finally good again in that game.

Yeah.....for me Street Fighter was....I don't even know. I mean, I have to give it credit cuz if I didn't play Street Fighter I probably would have been totally lost playing Blazblue....it's fun to watch (sometimes) but playing it was...okay. I just don't really understand how people can have fun playing the "Lets see who can run away the most" game and throw fireballs for the whole match. I mean....I did play Chun Li so thats what I kind of had to do....but I dunno. Nothing about SF really could really keep me hooked onto it....and this is coming from the guy who bought the game, sold it, then bought it AGAIN but this time the SE one and then after getting the "beat 10 ranked in a row" achievement pretty much left it in the dust. Sure I played Super a bit, but only borrowed it, and none of the changes could keep me hooked. Ironically though, I like SF better as a comic book.

Right, right. Guess thats why I like BB more.
It's as you say. I believe it was....Dacidbro(?) who said in one of the SoCal vs NorCal BB tournament matches was that he liked BB more because it was reaction and less yomi while SF is pretty much all yomi and guessing.
AH! Okay, okay. I understand yomi now....thank you.
Just curious when you play SF who do you play as? -
Hmmmm.....I see, I see. Yomi is when you're on the ground right? So for example, I think you once told me never use Yomi Inferno Divider unless I have meter to rapid, meaning when I'm on the ground to be cautious about using it. So, if I understand correctly, in a way metagame is the way people play right? I think I get it.....In SF, no matter what character you pick, most people tend to play them a bit differently. While in BB people tend to play the characters the same way. Not to say everyone copies one another but in most cases each character does play better in a certain way like how Ragna plays offensivey, while Hakumen is more of a turtle like defensive character.

Well I know the execution for certain SF combos are a bit ridiculous, but how is the meta-game over-developed and what do you mean by that? Also what exactly is a meta-game?
