  1. EDIT: NO IT DIDN'T. anyway for those with a ps3... there's a way to emu ac/do online easily on a PC. google: ggxxac online simple setup. That's all I should say about it.
  2. I have a more simple setup where there is a GUI and all I need is to click and type in an IP. I typed in my own, default IP just to see if the emulation worked.The result was no graphics, or rather, some eight bit looking, muddy stuff (but the sound was O.K.). This computer is old. I think it's a hardware problem. But I would like someone to verify. I have an old Pentium 4 Dell Dimension 2400 with the default graphics chip. 1GB ram upgraded (pretty sad specs at this point). If it is a hardware program (as it very well may be) I can probably just load the folder up to an FDD and use my dad's laptop, which is up-to-date. And maybe run #R on this computer, which I know it is able to do.
  3. So on Nov 1st GGXXAC+R comes out on PSN. I'm looking for people to fight and get better with. I go by dogboy_TNB on PSN. I like to use sol/os. Other characters as well. I live in an area outside Wilmington.
  4. This question has probably been asked 3 million times but.. do you guys have a special method for frc GAAAN FRAAAAME?! -.- it's something I just can't do much with sol. I'm thinking maybe piano-ing the buttons quickly and releasing sequentially 1>2x (very quickly) would do it. a-la t hawk. this right?

  7. anyone in wilmington play guilty gear? Heck I'll go for it in Blazblue as well but I'd have to learn the game. I don't get the drive button or the character specific systems, but then again, I don't have a 360 or ps3 -_-. So far it's like, me this dude named Travis and Simon. I don't like Simon much anymore. There are like 4 blazblue dudes I know of and heck I don't even know most of their names... And nobody's playing it since Marvel 3 is out.

    Sol IK setup?

    Well the original question wasn't answered. A setup is not always a combo. For example, a throw setup with guile in sf2 can be blocked sonic boom then throw. I know combos are less risky than ik's. I'm looking for the number of untechable frames of sidewinder (1 sidewinder) and the number of frames it takes for sol to enter ik mode and execute the attack's animation. I'm guessing around 60 frames for each. As for people not being able to ik someone in dizzy, get close if you must. For "practical" ik, there's Eddie. That's about all I know outside of maybe ky. There's a "frame data" section on here but it really has nothing to do with the frames of specific characters' movements. Neo Empire had one but unfortunately it was full of dead links to what I can assume are areas in the old site layout.

    Sol IK setup?

    This is a matter of frames here. A sw gives a clean hit and can be done fairly low to the ground. Clean hits are un-tech-able for x amount of frames. Sol's IK has some stupid startup time both on the ik itself and the kill mode animation. What i want to know is are there enough clean hit frames (untechable) to allow for an Ik after a low sidewinder. Also wondering if you can rc or frc vorukanniku vaipa and then ik. another way would be wild throw, ik, although this would be risky. But it's sol's ik, it's going to be. 0_0 wait.... Sol's old dustloop had some stupid untech time... hmm... ik ender?
  11. You do HS viper in dragon install once or twice (rc) then use the knockdown kick so you are safe when sol gets a headache. Stun is apparently quite high in this mode so it is best to use it's invincibility to dodge a long special move or super- Faust's door, Eddie's super etc- and then go for a combo that you can use to stun and knock down just before it ends, then finish the opponent while he/she is in stun. The source of this? The always creative Kusosol. Some of his stuff is useful. Also it gives meter, so it is possible to use the other super in it, which gives a clean hit. Damage from sidewinder increases with each clean hit by the number of clean hits. So you pull of a sidewinder or three and can super, then do the viper and followup kick. DAMAAAAAAAAAGE As for a taunt kill? Do this move to dodge then wild throw or do regular throw after a respect.

    X2 Potemkin

    I still haven't upgraded, yeah. My dad, oddly enough (to me, it would seem weird to another person for someone's father to play fighting games with him.) plays potempkin and I play a very mobile and offense heavy Sol. I'd like to know some of his bnb and more damaging combos. Also tactics vs Sol. I should get GGAC Wii if I can find the darn thing at Gamestop or my town's local thrift and trade game store, Gamegiant. I mean they have mvc1 ps1, and they had earthbound at one time. I doubt they have the inability to find Guilty Gear XXAC Wii. Didn't take the game all that seriously when it first came out because honestly I had GGX2 and didn't want to buy that same game with force breaks. However, it's easier now to find info on it than X2, and I can't find a wiki that's actually worth using, since SRK's is well, crap. It's basically a move list. This site have a wiki? If not, please get one, we can't have "old" GG strategy just disappear at each version release! ...Just as a note, I have figured out one combo.. His knock up normal into his in air grab (forgot the name sorry. goes into heat extend with an extra command), frc, grab, heat extend. Also, another combo that is basically the first part of this rc'd into Potemkin Buster.
  15. I'm wondering if it's possible to create a ground loop combo with ky's rc'd hcf hs (vanilla GGX2). I'm thinking whatever combo it could be could be repeated four times since the fireball at the end would only take 25 percent meter. It would have to have a lot of his best normals in the combo... It would also be great if it could stun somewhere int eh loop. Just a combo idea, I don't play Ky. You can take this like a "combo challenge" like the ones maj does if you want. I would really like to see what you can come up with! In the mean time, I need to know when to force rc his fireball so I can do it correctly (and possibly make a loop).
