My spring break is over sadly so here I am typing a response during my off class hours. Well if there are two great players with the same character it is inevitable that there will be similar approaches to certain situations and of course, combos. But I think it's impossible they will play exactly the same way. You have to change up what you are doing depending on how the opponent handles your current strategy obviously. So overall, I don't think so. Not in the extreme sense of "the same way".

I pick from this pool whenever I don't feel like playing Rachel. Carl, Jin, Ragna, Tager Otherwise I still play Rachel more often than those anyway. I wanted to try Carl against someone not easy for a change.

Aside from that my list would probably be (of Nu's...): - yaya - cookiehour - ffr something can't really remember but he's good - midnight something... same deal -_- - moki357 (although he seems kind of cocky which is sometimes a good thing lol) - KoreanHacker (I haven't seen him around though maybe he has an alt. or has stopped playing)

After playing a bit more I realize I need to work more on my Jin match-ups. The ones that knew how to defend against me always end up beating me despite a perfect first round or any sort of domination on my part. Am I that easily read? I guess it's time to learn more than one block string! Also of note, I've been getting more RQ's than usual so I guess it's a sign of improvement! For example, there was a Nu this evening that did Astral but then RQ after it was apparent I would have won. There was an A Lobelia suspended in air right on top of Nu.

Yeah the more the merrier hehe. I just use what works with Rachel and throw away stuff that I think is too risky to be useful. I'm just as bad at Rachel mirrors as anyone else though. Main problem is using generic combos that for sure never work against Rachel (6dc after CH 6B comes to mind -_-) But that's what online matches are for I guess; experimentation, confirmation, discard the fail data keep using the good data.

Don't sweat it. I went through the same phase when I was still playing with rei-Scarred. You will undoubtedly feel like you can't play as well as you could with the d-pad but the long-term improvement in execution is worth it once you adapt to the arcade stick. I use an HRAP3 and then later I changed the stock buttons to white SANWAS. I tried using an octagonal gate but after playing around with that I decided square gate was better for me. tl;dr: Keep at it. Your Bang is also good. I have no idea how to counter TK'd nails into command grab. I also need to stop going for throw attempts and respect Bang when he has any chance of Daifuka on wake-up or reaction :X

Sure thing. I need to work on Bang matches more as well (rei-Scarred comes to mind -_-). I'll do this once I'm caught up with my university work. I'll probably add you once I get back from school tonight.
