BlazBlue@TGS Discussion Thread - Kagura/Terumi/Kokonoe hype time!
Tokkan replied to Circuitous's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
I think Terumi's astral in general sounds "increda-hype" with all the Dark Susano'o stuff. -
[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
Tokkan replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
"Characters: Sol, Ky, May, Millia, Chipp, Venom, Potemkin, Axl, I-no .... and others" -
There was originally no #Kappa and I only posted it to be contrary to Dark Ranger's "Kagura's theme has the potential to be my favorite BB song. Ignoring the pirate intro of course." and not to be reflective of my own opinion. I hit a snag when my post jumped a page.
-
Oh I know, but it's silly to call a small part of a theme that you haven't even heard the entirety of the "best part".
-
The pirate intro is the best part of Kagura's theme. #Kappa Real talk, the pirate intro is fine.
-
All of this stuff is being sold in collaboration with Sanwa. The first 4 things listed are arcade stick parts and the 5th is an actual arcade stick (featuring Bururaji style art, apparently does not include buttons).
-
Probably just repeated. http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/000/704/704544/ The Dengeki stuff are stage events. They're apparently for Arc's 25th Anniversary. All the stages events at the Dengeki Booth are going to be streamed on Niconico.

Again, I repeat myself: It was not Sega who purchased Index (Atlus), it was their parent company Sega-Sammy. Sega-Sammy the holding company and Sega the publisher are two separate entities that just happen to be related. It's best not to make assumptions at this point, we don't even know whether Sega-Sammy will fold Atlus into Sega or keep them separate.
-
This one's on the Sector Seven story. Also some screenshots from the anime scenes in the game. And another reminder that the game is playable at TGS.
-
Sega-Sammy (the holding company) was the company that purchased Index (and thus Atlus), not Sega (the publisher). Also, not a damn clue but I'm not going make a judgement this early.
-
Cypher is also an actual name, albeit a surname. On the subject of actual names, where did Faycott come from? The closest to an actual name I can get is "Faicot", but I have no idea how that is pronounced so matching it to ファイコット is rather difficult.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
Tokkan replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
It's actually also announced for "Spring 2014" on the official Xrd website, so... http://ggxrd.com/product/ -
Point of advice: Don't ever take fan translations of particularly obscure looking names as fact, there is always a 90% chance they are in some way incorrect.
-
Uh, I do know for a fact there was a Makoto test character on-disc using Ragna sprites because for a short bit after she was released there was a bug where in online matches it would load the on-disc test character instead of the proper Makoto from the patch data. The test character was not optimised, the game's framerate would randomly jump up and down and then the game would crash.
-
Oh, I see. Well, Amazon has since corrected the genre it's listed under but not what sales ranking it's in (still in the anime music ranking). Ah well, it seems the confusion at the stores came from either the fact the anime's ending theme was mentioned in the solicitation or that character songs are usually an "anime" thing. The solicitation does mention the CD contains character songs and a "consumer game ending theme".
-
Makoto was announced before CS1 was released...
-
Little note here, on stores like Amazon and the like the Character Song Album's genre is listed as "anime" while the CP soundtrack is "game music". I'm wondering if that means something.
-
In CS1 console? Makoto's on-disc data was an incredibly buggy test character using Ragna sprites while Valkenhayn and Platinum were mostly blank dummy characters with stick-figure sprites. Maybe we'll have a similar deal with Kokonoe. With regards to Terumi, unless we have a day 1 patch he's most likely on-disc.

BuruRaji D - BlazBlue Radio Discussion [The new season!!]
Tokkan replied to kosmos badgirl's topic in Zepp Museum
http://blazblue.jp/topics.html#topics540 The Bururaji episode after the next will have Tetsuya Kakihara as a guest. It features a new corner called "BuruKoma" which is similar to the "Moshimo no 1Koma BlazBlue" corner but applied to still screens from the anime. -
http://blazblue.jp/topics.html#topics539 Kagura and Terumi will be playable at TGS for the entire show, both business and public days. Kokonoe will be playable on the public days (the 21st and 22nd).
-
https://twitter.com/zatuyoP/status/378397199475830784 Kagura will also playable at TGS.
-
This makes sense; Lantis is the record company that publishes Faylan's stuff and they are also the company credited as producing the music for the anime. On the subject of that last point, since no composer is listed for the anime, I'm guessing they'll just be using music from the games in it.
-
Yes, pretty much.
-
No, they both consume the gauge but the gauge is a different colour depending on whether it's pulling or repelling (Pull = Blue, Repel = Yellow).
