  1. In all my time playing Tao, I never knew 4D was controllable. It seems fairly reliable for getting out of some pressure, as well as making starting a Taunt Loop from 6C a little bit easier. Don't suppose there's any good shenanigan cross-ups on oki with it is there? lol
  2. Use that after a blocked 3C and you're completely safe unless they IB the 3C, only thing that might be able to get you is Tager's 720.
  3. I know the feeling, it took me a while to get that combo. When Bang starts falling, that's the best visual cue to dash. Once you get WHEN you can move down, the hard part is the air combo, and that's muscle memory like you said.
  4. Pretty sure Boon already stated that there will be DLC at some point. Anyway, my 2 main characters, Cage and Nightwolf, are already in, so I don't care who else they add at this point. Although I kinda want Kira to be playable, even though she's in the background of a stage currently.
  5. Would anyone happen to have the Autumn version of the Verdant stage as a jpeg or something similar? Trying to find it in good quality for an avatar.

  7. Sorry for your loss GT, hope Sony's refurbish goes well, and you don't have to worry about the Slim getting a YLoD. The solder/chip that causes the problem was completely fixed in the Slim, so there's no chance of getting the YLoD with it.

  9. My thoughts exactly, Tao's better off saving that meter for getting out of hairy situations.
  10. Figured as much. Although, a friend of mine told me you can do a few reps of the Taunt Loop, activate AB2, and do 2 j.2D-Bs, and end it with the Pounce Super. He said you gain the 50 Heat for the Pounce after the AB2, any truth to this combo? I personally think he was blowing smoke, as I was under the impression Tao didn't gain meter during AB2, or she gained it VERY slowly.
  11. That's understandable, and it's all because of the Jump Cancel mechanics, I had the same problem with Bang's "Crash & Dash" combos at first. You still play CT right? Just for practice anyway? Practice Ragna's basic ground-to-air combos until you get them 100%, that's all the advice I can really give. Or you could try Bang's Crash & Dash combos to get a firmer grasp on timing, because let's face it, ragna doesn't really have the strictest combos.

  12. Glad to hear Tao has a good AA now. Any good/practical use for her 22C or AB2? I know the former at least takes off a Primer at the 6th(?) hit. Haven't been in the Tao forums for a long time, need to catch up for the 27th.

  15. They'll probably cost 100% Heat and be ridiculously impractical though, but I'm looking forward to it. :3 Don't suppose you'd be able to make a vid of the Challenge Mode stuff as well?

Alright, for those who like Casshan/Casshern, here's THE combo you want to learn: 5L > 5M > 2M > 5H > 236M > 5M > 2M > 3C (9) > j.LL > J.MM > 236H ^ That right there deals a whopping 23K and costs NO METER!!! You can tack on a 623MH for an extra 3K, you'll generate enough meter during the combo anyway, so why not? Baroque String: 5L > 5M > 2M > 5H > 236L > Baroque > w/e, although it's recommended to just use the same string but with 236M, then followup with his Launcher.
  19. I personally like it a lot more than MvC2, because this one actually feels like no characters are outright trash, even Roll is good for once! Too bad Phoenix Wright didn't make it in, he'd easily be the most fun character to play IMO. Well, there is the small chance for DLC.
  20. I swear, Alex has the most LOL inducing stuff in this game, and it's not even intentional! Using Flash Barrage on small characters or giants, using Stun Gun Headbutt/Power Bomb/Hyper Bomb on giants (especially SGH), it's all so ridiculous and LOL worthy. On a side note, it always sounds like he's saying: "You can't stop me!" when he starts his Supers, even though I KNOW he's saying: "You can't escape!"

  22. I know this probably won't do much down the road, but if Litchi goes for her Thirteen Orphans corner pressure (e.g., you are in the corner and she has "reset" you with 3C) you can completely beat her by using the Pounce Distortion. Everytime I have done this, I have gotten out of the corner and 3.5K+ damage from comboing off of the Distortion.
  23. Indeed, you can also Crawl under Gauntlet Hades, works wonders on Ragnas who mix it up often.
  24. No, I think it'll only work on characters with larger hitboxes. It will probably work on evryone in the corner though.
  25. Well, if you can react to the followup, block then dash in 5B CH> combo, would be the best strategy, but if you can't react that well, 3C would probably be the best choice.
