Honestly, It seems that you're really new to the game; the only tip I can give you as of now is to work on the basics. Blocking, hit confirming, BnB's will get you started as a beginner, you will gain match up experience as you go along but you really need to work on the basics before doing anything else. Also, throwing after freezing the opponent isn't a good idea since it causes you to purple throw them and they can break out of that given the time to tech purple throws.

To add on what Minoru posted, *because everything he's posted is dead on* Your 2B You can use 2B in this fight as well if Rachel is using Lolibellas to stop your approach from close range. You go under Rachels A Lolibella's if you're close enough, counter-hitting Rachel and getting a combo off. Your preferred option would be to block them but this is an option that I've seen work in JP videos and used as of late. It is also fast enough to hit her when she is trying to bring out the pumpkin. It's also a really good mix-up tool to use against any opponent, you would be surprised how well it works to empty jump and 2B the opponent especially since they are expecting Jin to j.b or j.2c or j.c. Remember this is an option, it works if you've practiced it or know you have forward momentum and know you will go under it. Your Counter Assault Do not be afraid to use this or do not forget you have this option. If Rachel is pressing you that badly, this is a way out; just be warned, it can be baited like a lot of options so use it wisely since you're giving up heat to use it. Rachel's Tools George If you can; grab Rachel if George is out (This being because she would only drop him since you're that close), it will make him disappear even if she tech's the throw or not, it gives you one less thing to worry about in the neutral game against her. It's by far the simplest way to get rid of him. Do that or just avoid him if you can. If you can't block Rachel pressure (Not an easy feat but it can be done) until an opening appears 2C *AKA Cat Chair* Be wary of 2C as stated before it hurts a lot and it's Air unblockable, so remember to barrier; but once baited out of her, it's easy pickings especially if you have her in a corner, if not you can hit her with 6C and carry her to the corner regardless. Just keep your eyes on her meter because she can RC, but if she doesn't you have all the time in the world to confirm a counter hit against Rachel because recovery on 2C is really bad. Rachel's 5A It is really fast and hits twice and most Rachel's under pressure will mash it out because of it's ability to easily confirm combos with it. It can be a really annoying tool to fight against while trying to maintain pressure against her. If you feel that the Rachel player is mashing 5A on wake up, throw out a well spaced 5C to get a counter hit or use 3C to go under it. You can confirm combos off of counter 3C, you have enough time for it so use it and if she stops and blocks it, throw out an ice blade to recover from 3C. Air Grabs This is another annoying tool Rachel uses against characters approaching from the air; if you're not careful she will use Tempest (If she has meter) and grab you out of the air so be ready to tech air throws when making an aerial approach. Tempest Since she's one of those character that has an extra meter, you have to keep your eyes on this, Watch how Rachel manages her meter, if she's wasting it, you will have an easier time but if the player is smart that will not be the case. Don't whiff unnecessary moves against Rachel from a distance because Tempest gives her the ability to rush you down and punish you for it. It's also used to apply pressure on you for Rachel Mix-Up; honestly, this is not the time to watch her meter and wonder if it's going to end, you have to keep your eyes on Rachel during this time period to see what is coming so you can block it. If you are successful blocking against her and she isn't so offensive, she is either low on Tempest Meter or has none left; that will be the case most of the time. If Rachel is out of meter, that is your time to attack; approach her with caution because she still has Lolibellas to throw out and zone you with. Time Over I'm sure you ALL have seen this happen before, if Rachel has a life lead, she will run and it is the end of the fight before the time actually runs out, you want to make sure this doesn't happen; do what you can to end the fight before "Look @ Time" is announced. In reality, you have 89 seconds to deal with Rachel than your average 99 seconds; that's more than enough time but this situation can occur so I'm noting it so you guys remember as well. Overall, you want to keep the fight at your pace but remember that Rachel is one of those characters that can turn it around on you quickly. Apply your pressure, look for her OS' and make sure you are ready to block when Rachel is on the offensive.

[CSE-CP] Jin General Thread "Jin it to win it... again"

Well, Yukikaze has always had a short window of activation (Unlike Hakumen's version, LOL!) so Jin getting swept out of Yukikaze doesn't surprise me. Looking at both videos, Ragna's 2D seems to hit just as the activation animation of Yukikaze ends as while Litchi's 3C hits him out of it but since it's slow and Yukikaze's window is short, it hits him out of it. But I'm hype that Yukikaze punishes lows, now everyone is going to use it, LOL! -
I'm working on it. I want to do a West Coast Trial run and go to as many BlazBlue (Or Marvel, I'm learning that game too) gatherings along the coast Cali/Washington State/Nevada/Hawaii. These are the places I want to go and if everything works out, I'll be hitting up Cali and more than likely documenting this on Video as a short YT series for my channel.

OMG... I STILL can't believe this is going to be a fighter... Is there a release date or year?

LOL I like the sense of humor but isn't the water infested with SHARKS?! I can swim but I don't wanna be a meal for a shark. Plus I hear they like "dark meat" so I'd be toast! -

Well, it's already a hellova lot better than an arcade in MI, there's virtually no arcade scene there, and Chicago's scene is focused on SSFIV and MvC3. I already like the sound of your arcade since you guys do play BB up there. It's a dead game in Chicago... -

That day might come soon, My little brother got stationed in Hawaii about a month back, and I just might head out that way to see what you guys are all about during my summer break. Netplay Hawaii from Chicago? That's just asking for rage; my connection is pretty boss but I doubt it's THAT good, lol! -

LOL I know, just poking fun and all. I'd love to teach you that match up but Tsubaki wrecks me every time. Now, we can learn the match up together, let's team up and figure it out. -

I have no idea but it would be cool if that were the case, but what are the chances of that happening? If the opponent is crouching, the chances of them blocking are pretty high right? Also, I found Jin mirrors to be fun as of late, I'm learning a lot of things and adding a lot to my arsenal. @ Jourdal: Miya is impressing me with the new Jin. It's nice to actually see Jin winning in some extend videos, the few I've seen he hasn't been so hot. -

Man, I would love to fight your Hakumen but my XBOX is in Michigan ATM, I'm living in Chicago and all I have is a PS3. I'll hit you up next month bro, Sorry. You play WAY too many characters bro for my taste LOL. I dabble with other characters but I'm not solid with them but yeah, I've been riding BlazBlue on my Ice Car since the beginning, it wouldn't make sense for me to drop him for another ride you know. You better, since I can't be there, LOL! I believe in you Jay, if I can make AXIS rage when I play with Jin, you can beat him. And the others, I'm pretty sure you got them locked down. I got on the BB train 3 days late, I was out to sea and I came back and a friend of mine was like "Yo, BlazBlue is out!" I asked what that was and he said: "A New fighter by the company that gave us Guilty Gear". ... I went directly to the nearest Gamestop that had a copy as soon as I walked off the boat. I know right! It does help bring the community of Jin players together to an extent. BTW, did you guys see Solex's Matches?! I was hoping he'd pull it off against 2GB and he came so damn close! -

I hear ya man. I play ragna because I find his combos fun, I had Bang on my card during the beginning of the CT days though but Jin took over and the rest is history. -

LOL I know right, school isn't that bad, it's all easy work seeing how it's my first year, things are going smoothly; I'll see how things go as the year progresses. Wow, I play those same characters bro. Jin, Bang and Ragna, that's pretty funny! But yeah, it's pretty funny how that works with Jin/Bang/Ragna, one of the 3 are guaranteed to be at the top or close to it as you said so it all works itself out but I am a Jin main all the way like everyone else here. Any of you guys planning to go to a big tourney or Major anytime soon before the year ends? I'm trying to head out for NEC and play those guys there. Show some of them NY'ers and Philly that ShinSyn is all about! -

I personally can't wait to get the game, This looks like it's going to be a real challenge to learn the new Jin. I'm sure I'll rage for a bit but I'll get it down with enough time and training. And yeah, I completely agree with you Jourdal, I have yet to see anyone really use the wall bound moves effectively yet but I'm sure that will come with time. I'm done with my papers and found out I have worksheets I have to turn in tomorrow... welp, there goes my sleeping plan... -

Man no one is making Jin look good ATM. I know it's only been a little while since the game came out but man it's frustrating to watch some of these videos even though there aren't many Jin match up videos in the first place... -

I know, there was a time during CS2 that I was thinking of switching mains because I couldn't get with the program but I just couldn't drop him. Even though he was better, it seemed as if I got worse but I seemed to have gotten over that. Well, to all the true Jin mains out there, as we usually say every insallment; "Back to the drawing board" -

Why does this not surprise me at all? -
Oh man, you were fighting Feux! Man, that's one hellova Bang there, I know! From what I saw in this fight, its pretty much the same things I look for when fighting Bang: Most Bangs have a tendency to throw out 5C to pressure in the corner, it isn't a bad idea to use it but it is if the opponent is already knocked down, if you tech where you don't get hit because of a horribly timed 5C, that is your chance to attack! Open up the largest combo you got on him at that moment because recovery on whiff is pretty bad for Bang's 5C. Chill out on some of the 6B's Bang can 2D it and blow you up pretty bad for it, this guy did not do that but since he didn't you stuck to it and it worked well for you. Most Bangs will see that and make an opportunity to hit you for some silly counter damage, since he didn't do that against you I guess it was a good idea at the time. Dash under 2A with Bang is a commonly used cross-under, it will mess up your inputs, look out for it when you tech and he's mid-screen as you see you got ice car instead of 623C. As Yuushiro said, you seemed a bit too patient and missed out on a lot of free opportunities to capitalize on the match but against Bang, patience isn't a bad idea. Other than that, you seemed to understand the match up overall. That was my two cents on the video.
