Considering I was nearly drowning in Salt last time, I think a break is in order. Playing too much RE6 lately and it's not really helping with my ability to play...well anything. Plus the only fighting game that is appealing to me right now is fucking terrible, so go figure.

Should be there Saturday, but expect more of my same bullshit; Haven't really played much of P4A lately. Gonna hope for some F/UC there too.

Ugh. That was rough. GG's Adventus. Crash course in why the Kanji vs Elizabeth match-up is so bad.
-
Well considering that Dallas is in a state of emergency thanks to the WN Virus, that's not entirely too surprising. When are they starting?

[P4A] Kanji vs. Elizabeth: Who made your dress?
Edge Reaper replied to Circuitous's topic in Kanji Matchups
This match-up is ass. I've only played a sparse few good Elizabeth's (offline mind you) and so there's only so much I can offer. What you're really fishing for, is to get rid of Thanatos, because that rat-bastard is what's gonna kill you most likely. From my experience (so take it with gratutious amounts of salt) most Elizabeth players will either get more aggressive (therefore make more mistakes) or extremely defensive as her Persona cards run dry.Beat up her Persona when the opportunity is presented, most likely after the second hit of 5C (second sword slash) or a baited 2C (his roar), preferably with a J.B. Trying to break it while grounded is asking for a Fear-Inducing Command Grab in your future. Killing the persona is always a good idea in match-ups, but it's damn near mandatory when fighting Elizabeth as it'll be the only time you can get any real head-way in this fight. At range, blast her with j/5 D, but only strike once with the lightning. If the first hit doesn't connect, keeping it going is asking to lose a card. Shock won't do much in this match-up but limiting her options, especially her movement, is always a good move. Up close, block like crazy, build meter, and use SB 214CD to put the fear of God into her. 214C works as well, but most other options come with a high risk, and the reward isn't always worth it, especially when the big fatal counter moves on the ground are just not going to happen in this scenario when her moves are constantly multi-hitting along with having better range/start-up, except for her R Action, which is begging for a J.C FC combo. The R action, in most cases, can be Elizabeth's big mistake in this match-up, so watch for it at close range. SB j.214AB deserves special notice, as it's the one tool at long range that can be considered a real answer in this match-up. It's very good damage, has some invincibility, and covers the full screen. At that range, most of Elizabeth's options have long start-up/recovery, so love on this move like it's your child, because, unless you're being very stupid with it, it's your path to big damage and flipping the fight around. Remember, she only has 7500 health, and even with Diaharan, Kanji can do enough hurt to wreck her shit with all the right opportunities. 3-4 mistakes is all it would take. Use that as incentive to deal with this mess. -
Yo good games to Oso. I need to figure out how to deal with Yu with Kanji, because I was only getting results with Akihiko in that department.

[P4A] Kanji vs. Yosuke: It's not like that.
Edge Reaper replied to Circuitous's topic in Kanji Matchups
This match-up is more punishment heavy than others in my opinion. Love your R action. It's probably one of the best tools in the match-up. He's a skittery little bastard, but he has to approach. His Mirage Slash in particular is pretty bad for him in this match-up as long as you remember to block low. R Action and SB 214CD all inflict shock, and while Yosuke still has some options in this state, they're not nearly as dangerous or as safe. But yeah, stay grounded this fight. There's almost no reason to try and take him in the air when all the big opportunities come from punishing his mistakes come while grounded. -

It depends on the player. Usually I get like 1, but some I won't get any and others closer to my grade will net me 2.

[P4A] Kanji Tatsumi Gameplay Discussion "Brofisting is in!"
Edge Reaper replied to A.X.I.S.'s topic in Kanji Tatsumi
Tis a shitty match-up. Get in close enough to use 5D and try to extend it as long as you can. If you're missing, end it as soon as possible before she pulls out the Persona for an attack. If you got her locked down, try to get in there. Bright-side, bitch is paper so if you get in, it shouldn't be too hard to put her down. Also helps that Thanatos takes its sweet fucking time disappearing after an attack. Match-up blows, but make the best of it and block like a maniac. I really got nothing for Naoto besides short hops and j.214SB's. The strategy with Elizabeth doesn't work too well because she'll fill your Persona with holes and kill it quick. Someone else should give advice on it. -
Oh joy. Fans all over the goddamn place. What a bunch of Persona Fanboys.
-
Yo good P4A meetup. GG's to Moosejaw for the meet and the food. Guy's a saint. In the end, I think I might be playing the Emperor duo, Kanji being my main and Akihiko being subbed. I really do enjoy playing Kanji, but god fucking dammit I'm already hating playing against Teddie.
-
Pretty much this. But then again as long as she doesn't hit hooker cop levels of stupidity, I should be good.
-
Noel's still around, so it's likely Mu will show up somehow. Also, Giant Sword Thing at the end = New Robo Sister/ Nu-13 Remake
-
... Holy crap she does. In any case, Azrael looks like a fucking beast, but I'm not gonna play him. I'm just gonna be playing Haku-men as usual. Though that Hazama dialogue at the end is fucking delicious~
-
A P4A meet-up would actually be pretty damn cool. I might get in on that.

So, I now have a working PS2 emulator on my PC with Fate/Unlimited Codes. It's...halfway decent at best, but if you guys ever just want to play it for the sake of not giving a fuck, lemme know, so I can smack ya down with the power of the Lord.
-
There is something very...irritating about the way Labrys plays. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I have a feeling she's gonna give me a hell out of a lot of trouble. But Kanji looks hella solid, so I'll just stick with him. Looking damn good.
-
Full-Riesbyfe damage is so easy. I like it. I think I will play this character for a time and see how it goes. Also, Dark Knight Rises is pretty fucking good. You scrubs should go watch it. ... In a month when there's less people bitching in the theater.

Doing it wrong.

Well shit, taking that a bit too seriously there man, but good shit regardless.
