  4. Must have been your bad luck, because I've seen several where they managed to do it in the corner although I think two reps is the max you can pull off.
  5. New Benten is just borderline stupid. Due to it's speed and range people are spamming it like there's no tomorrow. Why block when you can just DP and win the exchange 90% of the time?
  6. Seems like people are finally starting to figure out how to do decent combos with Venom, some IAD stuff in the corner. Have seen one dude use QV in the middle of the combo which was really nice - something like gatling into 5S(3 hit), QV, 6P, 6H, ball summon.
  7. Ok disregard all that I've said. Just seen the A-cho video with Venom and I screamed like a little girl when he blew people up.
  8. I saw someone PRC Stinger Aim, but still this doens't allow for it to combo just makes it safe on wiff. But you can do fun stuff like place a ball, hit it YRC it with IAD follow up like the old Stinger FRC. You just can't use it in combos, which is disappointing as 50% tension will be needed this time around. Characters seem to tech very fast out of QV so to me that move just seems weird. The projectile nulifing aspect is nice, but using it charged version will be hard. I mean you could possibly knockdown with a sweet into a charged QV, release it when the opponenet get's up, YRC it and hit the ball for a longer block stun but all of this seems a bit counterintutitive for someone used to the old Venom. Setting up formations will again be a pain if the ass as we'll be back to using sweep all the time since it's the only move that guarantees a long knockdown.
  9. Sadly it seems that throw into Rensen no longer leads to a knockdown. EDIT: Finally saw someone do a bomber loop - was something like: gatling into rensen, RC, run all the way to the corner, 5S, 2S (2 hit), TK Bomber, 5S, 2S, TK Bomber. The initial rensen was further away from the corner, but the RC time stop gave him enough time to ran all the way into in for a follow up.

  11. That stance looks so scruby ;p I'm pretty sure you won't be able to spam it like that against a decent player. Rashousen has a new animation which cought me by surprise and the old #R combos are back - that's nice. Although I'd like to finally see someone perform the old bomber loop. In the end it seems like this Axl is a good mix between what we got in #R and AC with a sprinkle of new shiny toys to play with.

  13. Wat. I had to read that a few times before it sunk in. It's really hard for me to visualize how without lightning balls or Stinger FRC is Venom's pressure supposed to look like.
  14. Well even with slashback around doing 6HS was a risk so I guess it'll be the same way this time, but with a lot more moves that end up unsafe. Maybe the penalty for missing a BS will be bigger then it was with slashbacks? On the other hand BS might become really useful for Axl since he always had problems with defence, but with such mechanic avialable I really don't understand all those buffs to his DP.
  15. Like they used to in #R j.k, j.hs, j.d, bomber if you're talking about the standard rensen frc gatling. Just accept that the game is going back to how it was in #Reload which is kind of a shame since AC/#R+ made Axl'x gameplay more fluid, but a bit easier in general. At least they are keeping the 2 hit chains on some of Axl's normals except 3P from what I've seen. I'm really curious about the new stance and if it'll end up useful.
  16. Man losing Dubious and lightning balls kinda sucks. I really liked this part of his gameplay. This new move looks kind of wierd to me from what I've seen from the loktest. I just hope he won't be a carbon copy of his #R version, cause it was pretty boring comparing to later versions..

  19. They are still in as seen on the system page. Many said that there were a lot of people who have never played Guilty Gear before so don't expect high level of play.
  20. A lot of animations look completely different, maybe that's why there's an impression that the game is slower. Still looks sick and I actually enjoyed the super cinematics.
  21. Did they mention anything about additional characters being added down the road, because the select screen looks like there's not much room to add?

  24. The white one is Shumatsu. Besides him and Kuma there isn't anyone worth mentioning. I guess all the old good ones don't play this game anymore. I hope that people still haven't figured out how to play Test in #R+, because most of the videos have him getting beaten into a pulp.
