opening xmb, texting, any of that on an after char select screen does indeed cause lag and lag spikes, bad ones at that. it may be tempting to reply to that message but you might piss off the guy you're playing

and moy, yeah 2a bait is pretty universal, just beware of those players who actually have yomi layers and can predict your bait because then you'll get mashed out.

that is an invaluable skill. part of learning ib'ing is, a lot of confidence, a LOT of patience, some technical skill, and some character knowledge. you have to take that first step into the ib'ing world. you have to next, be fluent with ib'ing nuances (being pretty exact with timing, pressing 4 8f before an attack), expect for ib to be something else (backdash, no block at all, this can be frustrating), and of course knowing how each character works. practicing ib on netplay for a week improved my defense tenfold.

l see. XD and people love spamming CA/burst until the first time they get baited. and once they get baited they get hella nervous and conservative. regaining wind is ez when people are too scared to even move forward lmao.
