thank you kirbster i'll try to keep the austin bursting to a minimum in srs matches lol. most of the silly stuff l was doing is stuff l don't normally do, so it wont be hard to stop doing them. minus the 'random' j.2c bit. once l master j.2c/wind spacing, i'm going to try and correctly fit it into my neutral game. spur-of-the-moment random crossup for some of the best damage she has (and a chance for a fatal) WITH free pressure if blocked is too good to pass up.

toan we need to play offline sometime. l think l need to add you to the 'people who beat me consistently but not for long' list (don't worry, you'll be off real soon... )

get familiar with his tools. if you can improve your neutral vs kune you stand a better chance. at a basic level, learn his 3 different cloud patterns, how to dodge his j.d bugs, 6d, 2d, how to deal with his falling j.b among a few other things. at a higher level (though most important), learn how to deal with his curse. his different setups like j.c IOH, crossup bug, and guard crush strings.

jais if l may ask, how did you/how easy was it for you to break down these matchups. you are really good. l dont even main bridget but you have so much matchup info that l srsly just thought agout switching mains. very nice dude.

@omni no l meant the 'watch out, we have a badass over here' pic. his face is priceless. @toan rachel is actually a nice person. she just dosent play nice with others. why would she waste her time? shes only going to get emotionally attached, they will die, and then history will repeat and she'll have to start over; or they'll just stay dead. it makes sense she wouldn't trust anyone eh?

rachel can 2c sod on reaction. theres no reason not to. as soon as l see sod animation, 2c is already being mash- uh...inputted. i'm going to test later if max range sod beats 2c, but otherwise, 2c can and should be used if sod is not level 1. l still think that matchup is even or slightly rachel's favor maybe i'm just crazy or something XD

^I do this. input the 2d immediately after the j.b and you shouldnt have a problem. l dont think i've dropped this combo once since l learned it, it's really easy, and l dont even delay the j.b j.c but l guess that helps?

l want to test this idea l had vs haku where you stand just out of range while haku is d'ing kokushi, and punishing with her longest horizontal staffless attack (chun? 5c? 6b, l have no idea) as soon as the recovery of his d attack is done... ...but i'm lazy and don't really care much for litchi anymore, so there it is, if someone else would like to experiment with that feel free to.

after richi a, l hold 2 during her jump animation and get ready to press b as soon as l see her fall from the staff. also, make sure theyre low enough before you do the richi a so that j.hatsu haku chun connects.

l wouldn't say she has a 'bag of tricks' like jin or tager, but rachel has a few. her normal gameplan is solid to the point where she dosen't need them. plus, most of her shenanigans are situational (due to wind), and you kinda have to be sure they'll hit, as every wind stock is valuable and you really cant afford to waste even one.

l wasnt nervous (l dont get tourney nerves). l agree, l was doing some reeeeally dumb shit... it could be that l only got 3 hours sleep prior to playing, but i'm not going to make excuses lol. so, l kinda have this thing where l purposely burst early for the sake of a bigger challenge for myself. HOWEVER most of those burst were supposed to be gold bursts... my timing was off. after awhile l just said fuck it BURST!!! as soon as l got touched. same with ibing, after awhile l just gave up trying. as time progressed l started to care less and less about winning and just wanted to have fun seeing what l could get away with. as for corner combo... l dunno at the time l wasnt think about doing much else besides simple bnb. plus l really wanted pumpkin oki, it's too good. lastly, that dropped combo vs dacid... that was bbl. l choked. as soon as that happened l mentally just gave up, and l know that was so dumb to do but l was so sad.

he should definitely try rachel. who needs shenanigans when you have the fastest, safest overhead in the game. and pumpkin.

@zeth: not sure with bang, but im thinking something along the lines of... charging star: ib it (this takes practice and prediction). ALWAYS watch tsu's heat/charge meter fullscreen, it determines whether you get a free punish or ch'd (ib is free punish, rc/214d are free ch for tsu if youre pressing buttons). also, jump works. just be wary of 214d, if you suspect it barrier block it in the air, land and punish. dive: again, ib if possible, this move is pretty easily telegraphed. if tsu dosent have rc, ib - punish. you can also aa with 2d. and you probably cant find a solution zeth because youre not taking these moves into training mode and drilling their punishes into your skull.

l think you have a legit style chan. you kinda get people to think how you want them to think in matches. sometimes you do things in excess, like charging star and the dive too. otherwise it's solid. (not like purple throws are punishable lol. why not use them especially if it's working.)
