  2. like, the biggest one? if so would you happen to know what is inside possibly? l don't follow the cp story, last l hear ama was in the boundary right. so yeah l don't know if this is a gate to there or if it is just a ruse to get her out of another location? or is he wants something else to come out? im suddenly very interested.
  3. he cannot due to the bow he does at the end. you'd have to RC for oki. they seem to be able to roll out/quick rise 100% free otherwise, evidenced by current OD orochi and 100 meter fuuenjin
  4. im going to say what you probably thought. just one. but iris activates all rods simultaneously. so they would count as '1' when clashing with another projectile on the same frame. this should be the case with any projectile active within iris with or without the same level. said projectile will interact will all iris' at one time. sounds like the staff hitbox just took priority over litchi's hurtbox. cant say that is common or practical if not just plain lucky on litchi's end.
  5. l dunno. l read the last few post but l still feel we'll have to agree to disagree. because the move hasn't been properly introduced yet, none of us know exactly how it'll turn out. we don't even know if it's a 50/50. just a low version. it could be a bit slower, or faster. l still have a few things l wanted to say, but l don't think the timing iss appropriate at the moment.
  6. @fdg he is. granted. that doesn't mean he should have a super that could potentially do more harm than good. nevermind what he does before the 50/50. this is assuming hes doing low orochi at 50 or 100 heat. l must stress again that besides my earlier points about what all of us saw, the rest is speculation. pros are pretty much being a 50/50, doing (?) damage. cons are giving up momentum -regardless- of hit/block/whiff (insanely horrid), with potential points (if its older brother is anything to go by) being unsafe, possibly low damage, and possibly no chance to improve damage. that's a lot of cons. especially if any of them are combined together, in particular, no momentum+ no real damage. why even do it. even if its horrible it could be relegated to round-end mixup status. l just don't see the point though. as l mentioned, all arrows seem to point to RCing the move, and one has to wonder why that would be. for safety, only? its possible but...
  7. care to explain? I think the cause for concern is legitimate. From what little we have seen of the move, it has very little hits and absolutely cannot be followed up without heat. From what we speculate there are several things that can go wrong with the moves design. Unsafe, little damage, short starter rating, a combination of the two, or all three. edit- there's also no chance of oki. Using this move at 50 heat, hit, block, or whiff, essentially means the end of pressure. Do you see how horrible that is for a character like him? It's almost as if they WANT it to be RC'd... The reason could be no other than for damage.
  8. Damage gained wouldn't be dumb. Assuming it does lead into a big combo it would require 100 heat. The other version of it does not do as much damage or gain as much momentum afterwards anymore. They are both unsafe, and even though they are presumably 50/50, there is still a chance to fail and get punished. This doesn't have anything to do with my speculation though, I just think that #2 isn't as justified as the others.

  10. Yes I have heard certain mic lag the game. I believe wireless ones. But because of that I have been stereotyping other mics as well. I didn't really want to do any research though... Just need a quick, cheap mic because no matter the price they all do the same thing right? As long as I can be heard. I want to be in and out of GameStop in 5 minutes lol

  12. Nice. Only concern I'm having is whether it would be more resource efficient to go for a level 3 air combo after ct, like dash 2d... (Dunno if this works after ct though) or 5b(1) 5c(1) 6c(1) 2d... And then end with 236b j6d 236a j6c j6d. I have not tested that for this combo, it should do around 5.5k so its a significant deal less than this combo, perhaps an alternative if you don't always have the heat. Really like the non OD version and on the rare times it does hit it could lead into some big damage starting with overdrive hey wait a minute you have overdrive on unlimited does this even work at 100% life now.

  14. it can't be RC'd? what about the new orochi, apparently that doesn't combo midscreen anymore. and doesn't one of them have invul? it should be a decent mixup regardless, especially with heat to back it up, very practical. i'm more worried on starter values if anything...

You have to know how to do a windless and a winded combo from each of her starter attacks: including normals, pumpkin hits, frog hits, lobelia/iris hits As well as the starter value of each attack. Knowledge is priority because rachel needs the added time n starters give to gain more wind and better positioning. Basically 2a, 5a, ja, pumpkin, td, maybe bbl? will give you a short combo starter, so using them first will require a short combo into 5cc or 3c. Literally everything else can be confirmed into something decent given wind and the route that needs to be taken. Also being mindful of smp moves being 236a, 3c, 5cc, 4b. You'll need to change your combo on the fly sometimes. Generally everything minus 5cc can still be used twice early in the combo. That will end the combo but you'll still get a knockdown. In longer combos ending in one of the 3 will grant the foe ability to tech in the air. You won't get oki but it's a very interesting situation as you can do risky resets here. 5cc twice will always tech in the air no matter what. And combo routes. From 5b(b): Standing 5cd 3c Jb3d jc 5d 6a micro dash 5b 5d 6a 4b dash With pumpkin standing any normal 5d dash 5b 6a micro dash 5b (before wind ends) Any normal 5/6d dash 5b 5cc 5c iris 6cd (8d) Crouching Immediate 3c with appropriate wind if you sense you'll be out of range for 5cd Pumpkin routes work here Iris will connect from 5b if 5c too far on crouching Launchers are iris, frog, 5d 6a, 4b, 3c, both supers you'll need to transition into an air combo and do as much damage while juggling them downward for oki. Very important to learn 5d 6a dash 5b IMO but 4b can substitute 5b for easier combos. Theres some missing routes here, I believe the rest are covered in the video but just in case you should check the combo thread. ...   20. nah you just need more exp with the set up. time to level up. it'll be worth learning, litchi's OD pressure is very strong, very mixup oriented, it's like playing a different character almost. or in litchi's case, staff, no staff, OD staff.

  23. Quick question, not sure if this was asked already but is there colors that could be unlocked in game, but not by buying them? Not dlc or the ones that can be bought using the fake money bb gives. In particular there seems to be a universal pallete that has chars with crimson hair and black with red detailed attire. I want that color but not sure what I need to do.
  24. izayoi is apparently the worst char in the game. some people will say makoto, l say tager, and some loony might say kokonoe. l guess this stuff is arbitrary, but needless to say, shes pretty bad on the list, and just mildly threatening. so it may not be you. maybe your character is holding you back. but you know, no pain no gain. go through the struggle now and be wiser later, it will make you a better player. no, im serious, it really will. eventually if right now youre saying "fuck this l want to win naooo", then... yeah, kokonoe. enjoy her while she still has two feet, l hear plans of those pretty feline figures getting smashed by the nerfbat.
  25. Do j2da/2b mixup. It should be everyone's core strategy when pressuring as rachel. I could make a semi long post about it, or i could go the simple route and just tell you to watch n otoko's rachel. Or mine, if you prefer. Among others. You'll see the same strategy with variation with most good Rachel's out there. I also wrote a guide on pressuring with her, though it's old 99% of it still applies in cp. it can be found right on this subforum.
