Yes, should the foe not choose to jump, 5c will whiff. However if they are prone to not jumping, he has a few tricks to punish the attempt to block. He can fab hop back in for pressure, 6d (need not an explanation), or 3c. The former two options are options your foe would want to avoid if possible. If they start jumping, 5c is air unblockable and will lead to a combo. Pretty sure fab hop air throw would work too. Do you see the pattern at work here? It may require some good reads but that seems like what the character is about until you can get the level 3

not gonna lie, l was kind of disappointed with sonya chan. hes certainly not bad and he has long blockstrings, however l didn't see the pressure. it was just stuff - fabhop - stuff - fabhop... l think it was iwao who's really got a scary amane because he understands the pressure aspect of the character. i'd like to see more of him.

definitely n-o. he did some good stuff. j.2c ender into 236a(wallbounce) catches rolls and looks like it can beat delay tech, even meaty. his rod placements are nice but l really wish he'd use lotus more... sometimes it looks guaranteed.
