Same, and doing 623 motions for my character(s) is vital. I'm slowly improving though. So far, I can do TK'd motions and quarter circles much easier. And it's fun to use the stick, even though I suck with it so far.

It's been about 2 weeks for me since I got my first stick and I'm still doing somewhat terrible. I'm alright, but nowhere near how I am with the pad so far. I heard everything from a month, 2-3 months, or a year to get really adjusted to the stick. But so far, I think I'm on the right track.

So if I want to look cool and badass, I should spam ashura in the middle of combos? Sweet. Bang's already strong enough, it should be okay to waste 50 heat here and there like this, right?

I dunno if it's been asked before, but are there any practical benefits into combo-ing into ashura? So far, I tried 5A 5B 2B 6C j.D and then immediately 236236D and it gets me about 2.8k... which is just a bit less than what I would get from a heatless combo that I could go for after the j.D. The only benefit that I can see from using this is that it would prevent your enemy from bursting... but you can just do 5A 5B 2B 2C then daifunka, which is shorter AND it does about 3.6k damage (improved from the 3.4k damage it did in CT).. I tried other ways to combo into ashura, but the damage for them always came out mediocre. So the question is... should I even bother with using ashura in the middle of combos? It looks cool but... that's about it.

Hi Schelcoof. I played Accent Core Plus last Friday night when I first got it with a friend and the stick works. Not sure about the lag though, haven't really paid attention since it was a test drive... I'll have to check for sure. If then, I'm screwed because I let my friend borrow my PS2 since his PS3 doesn't have backwards compatibility. You are sure about it then? Hm... I'll try again tomorrow and see how it works out. If the delay isn't too bad, I guess I'll deal with it. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

Ah, thanks for the quick reply. So on the HRAP3SA, L1 and L2 won't be used if I were to copy the arcade set-up, right?

Recently, I purchased a HRAP3SA for my PS3 along with Accent Core Plus. The problem is, this is my very first Guilty Gear game and I have no idea how to set the buttons up. http://www.shopncsx.com/horirealarcadepro3sa.aspx How should I set it? The eight buttons are set up like this on the stick: Square Triangle R1 L1 X Circle R2 L2 What would be the setup that's used for arcade machines? Would Square be P? Would Triangle be K? I'm really lost. I'm sorry that I'm a total noob at this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, we met on Ranked a few days ago (maybe a week, can't remember). Your Taokaka was really good, I sent you a message, but I dunno if you got it or not. So yeah, I just wanted to let you know that your Taokaka was one of the best I've ever fought. My PSN is Zevali, I used Bang.

Yeah, it's hard to find a good Ragna. If it wasn't for that double down, you would have won. D: Player matches? I definitely need more. I've been spending too much time on ranked, so I never really developed a strategy against... anyone since I didn't need to. So maybe playing more player matches will help me out with that.

Main: Bang Sub(s): Tager/Carl/Jin For CS though, I'm thinking of going with Hazama, Carl, and Tager... We can make this as long as we want, right? I kinda feel like explaining a lot tonight. (probably the lack of sleep... ) When I first watched videos of this game (July of 2009), I saw Bang's FRKZ video. With his theme song playing. I fell in love with him. Once I actually picked up the game, I actually liked how he played too. He was relatively easy to learn, had awesome pressure, and was very, very manly. Since this was my first 2D or any sort of fighting game ever, I thought he was a good character to start with. I probably will change my main though since he's... too easy and good now in CS. I liked being handicapped (but not too handicapped like Tager and Hakumen were ) and working hard for my victories. But now, everything about him is... even easier and more powerful. I might sub him in the end. I love his tech-traps... although I can't really pull any of them off reliably. And his 720C. And when people ragequit on me (actually, no, I hate it when that happens.) And it feels really satisfying to block as Tager. Don't ask me why, probably because he's huge. To be honest, I don't like his fighting style that much. I don't dislike it, but it's nothing fascinating. But his personality was awesome. He looks like the stereotypical hero character but he's... not. And his constant "NII-SAAAAN" was also very awesome. It's the tophat and the puppet. I just learned how to do some basic sandwich loops as Carl and it feels so satisfying. And since I've been only using really easy characters so far, I felt that I needed the challenge. Also, his hat. Hazama Everything about him. His hat, his attitude, his clothes, his gameplay. Actually, I'm even thinking about cosplaying as him in the near future. It must be the hat. His 236236B is probably my favorite distortion drive now. Now that I think about it, my BBCS main/sub (Hazama/Carl) both have awesome hats and clothes. And then there's my avatar...

I think you might be able to IB the TK'd nails and slap me before I could grab you? I'm not completely sure, I never had that many Bang mirror matches. :I IB and jump & barrier block might work too. I'm not completely sure about Rachel's 2C, but it might be able to shock Bang before he grabs Rachel.

Good games tonight. Do you play on an arcade stick, by any chance? I purchased a HRAP3SA not too long ago but I haven't used it tonight at all since I'm not used to it yet. If you don't mind, can I use the stick for our next few matches? I'll suck terribly though, so if you really do need practice against fighting a competent Bang, I'll switch over to my d-pad so I can be more proficient.

Hey, I met you on PSN ranked uh... forever ago (a few weeks back) and fought you once or twice. I don't think you can remember me, but I was the default colored Bang (or default Tager). My PSN is Zevali and I really need more practice against Hakumen. Yours was good.
