Pozer I guess the reason I'm so defensive is whenever I get aggressive I get blown up. My game plan is if you believe I have one is to try and force a mistake...somehow. I figure Jin high low game is weak on the ground so I figure I can just block and tech the grabs. When I looked at my footage the only times I have been able to "win" a round is by pretty much blocking as much as possible and looking for an opening. I'm not sure how someone can rush down safely honestly. I see Jeff doing 2A dash 2A 2A dash. 2A 6A 6B . I tested those out in training mode and it seems you can just 2A youself out of that. Yesterday I tried to do an strategy I came up where Makoto will parry after doing a block string. I cant seem to put my self into a situation where I can even do that. Maybe my footsies are too trash? I can't seem to counter Jin's j.b reliably either. Most of time I can't react fast enough to do it properly. Maybe I'm analyzing my footage the wrong way as well. Pozer or anybody if could look at this footage and let me know if I'm analyzing it right and if the counters I'm coming up with are the proper way to do about things. If I'm not analyzing my footage right how should I go about analyzing it the right way?
My analysis of the first round is below. To do the second one as well would take up too much text.

Analysis:
At match start I 2B in anticipation that you will do 2B. You don't however. You IAD backwards because you are probably expecting me to do 6C which I tend to do alot at match start.
Next I jump backwards because I believe you are going to run up and do a 5C. I want these normals to wiff. You don't however. You IAD j.b. Why you IAD j.b I don't know why. It seems risky?
You jump in the air and I wiff a j.b trying to hit you. I did it at a bad spacing. I needed to be closer.
You then do a j.c at the right spacing and hit me with the proper combo.
I block with barrier to try and push you out and escape pressure. I works and you are eventally pushed out.
I see you running forward and decide to use 5B. Seems like its at the proper distance for it to hit. It hits but i do the inproper combo. I'm not used to it hitting at the tip. This causes me to wiff a 5C. Which you then punish.
I continue to block to try an push you out. It works. You dash in. At this distance I decide 2A is the best normal to use. You do a DP however and combo from there.
I crack at this point. I DP to try and to try and get out of the corner.
You then punish with 5C but stop because you want to punish the bust. From my previous match footage I noticed that I tend to burst after a blocked DP if I don't have meter. I decide not to bust though and wait a little bit to see.
You attempt a tick grab. Which I sucussfully guess at.
You back up and Jump in the air and I try to anti air with 6A. You bait it with a double jump though and I get hit with 6B.
You then wiff a 2A. At the time it seemed like a good idea to do a 5B cause you wiffed something, but i didnt reconize I was in hit stun still from j.b. So I got baited into doing something. Get a combo for my trouble.
I burst.
You throw a series of fireballs and I stupidly get hit with one. The fireball causes me to fall and I tech. The tech cause me to 3rd fireball to wiff, and I run forward.
You then run towards me. I jump to try and make you wiff something, but all you wiffed was a 2A. I can't punish that, so as I come down I decide to block.
You IAD j.b and it wiffs you run towards me and I decide to do a 2A which was done at the wrong distance. I get counter hit and get killed.
The Mistakes:
You jump in the air and I wiff a j.b trying to hit you. I did it at a bad spacing.
At this distance the best option would be to block.
I see you running forward and decide to use 5B. Seems like its at the proper distance for it to hit. It hits but i do the in proper combo. I'm not used to it hitting at the tip.
1. Figure out a combo off 5B hitting at the tip. Not sure if its practical to hit confirm this though.
2. Since your in hit stun from 5B I probably could have advanced forward and applied pressure. I got to be careful of the DP though.
3. Wait for you to do something and apply the proper counter.
Ultimately I would choose option 2 and see what happens.
I crack at this point. I DP to try and to try and get out of the corner.
Disciple my self to keep blocking. The best thing to do would be to probably white block and DP. The meter gain from the white blocks would probably allow me to DP safely.
You back up and Jump in the air and I try to anti air with 6A. You bait it with a double jump though and I get hit with 6B.
Properly timed backdash. The invincibly of the backdash should keep me safe if he decides to do j.b right away. If not I should be at a good distance to properly 6A. If I wait to 6A till he is close I will probably get counter hit.
You then wiff a 2A. At the time it seemed like a good idea to do a 5B cause you wiffed something, but I didnt reconize I was in hit stun still from j.b. So I got baited into doing something. Get a combo for my trouble.
Keep blocking.
You throw a series of fireballs and I stupidly get hit with one.
Jump at the right time.
You IAD j.b and it wiffs you run towards me and I decide to do a 2A which was done at the wrong distance.
Keep blocking.
Edit:
@Pozer
I'll definitely be taking your advice. Thanks for taking to time to create that write up.
