  1. I'm going to sig this when I get back home, roflmao.
  2. After watching Nor Cal install, we can't tech purple throws either lol EDIT: True Hiago, but notice how it's becoming increasingly more common that Arakune, Hazama, Carl, and even Hakumen at times have been placed above him now. In terms of numbers of chars in the cast, that puts him at 5th/6th/7th out of 14 potential characters. Close to dead middle is a pretty accurate statement in the land of defense
  3. Dora just trolls. But yeah, Bang and Litchi have somewhat of an advantage over Ragna is that their game is pretty stagant and random hits lead to big payoffs, while Ragna is a whole lot less scarier when you can block overheads and relies on being random to get his damage and meter. (Which is probably why America still thinks he's Top 3 while Japan has him as dead middle just like CT)
  4. The only time IKs were useful in GG was against A.B.A IIRC. Even then, lol
  5. Tager's is great. The only bad thing about it is that it's so difficult to buffer you have to do pretty obvious buffering movements like Super Jumping. You can land it guarenteed off of any Spark Bolt hit if they bounce right which is almost always 100% of the time Lambda's is honestly not that good because of it's ridiculously small range and the fact trying to Act Parser to get in to range is incredibly obvious
  6. I think Rachel v Tager is a solid 5v5. Rachel can still keep Tager out, but her damage is still lol, espicially considering she can't do anything significant to Tager off a 6B counterhit anymore and Tager's gigantic amount of health in general. Once Tager get's magnetism Rachel is in for a world of hurt, and she simply can't keep up with his damage output.
  7. Nice, GG to you. I'm still free to good Hazamas still. I wish I didn't bust so many inputs -_-

  8. The moral of this story is. Virtua Fighter sucks.
  9. I'll actually agree with you in the facet of imbalance being directy correlated to how interesting or fun a game is. That is a valid point. However, I still stand by the fact that it is immensely silly to develop around the goal of perfect balance. You'd have to spend so much dev time on trying to attain something that may not even be attainable in the first place and sacrificing all the other important facets of a fighter. The game in the long run wouldn't even be worth playing in the long run. Want an example? Virtua Fighter. EDIT:Call me sadistic, but world peace would be a bad thing in the long run. As cruel as it sounds, war does help stabilize the population and in some cases can spark dying economies in countries. That's the only good thing that comes from it, but it's still a huge factor.
  10. One of which being the characters ARE THE EXACT SAME. The game is perfectly balanced, per-se, but the only two playable characters are perfectly identical. That is the only way you're ever going to achieve perfect balance in a fighting game. As long as you have significant differences in characters, this is always going to be the case. Asking for perfect balance is just fucking stupid. Asking for a game where player skill is the greatest factor in determining who wins a match is what all developers should aim for. That, and actually making the game, y'know, actually enjoyable to play and not filled with lame mechanics
  11. SF1 is the most balanced game in existence. Wonder why no one plays it?
  12. The fact you're even bringing In player skill into the discussion of Tiers makes your opinion not worth a shit concerning the matter. Apparently you don't even know the definition of tiers and tier lists judging by how asine some of the statements you made are
  13. Yeah, either Mu's really not THAT strong, just more controllable (Key fact, Terumi never said Mu was STRONGER than the Black Beast, he called it useless because it was uncontrollable) or they did a VERY poor job of displaying her strength.
  14. Nah, his character, both in design and gameplay, is just fucking stupid. Watch him become shit after patch/next BB
  15. Never airdash towards Arakune to start a round. EVER.
  16. Espicially as Tager.
  17. I'd say it's because her damage on random hits is pretty darn low, even for a zoner, and requires very specific setups to get damage comparable to the rest of the cast. Sure, she shouldn't get 5K from across the screen, but damn topping out at 1.5ishK off a 5D assuming non counter hit or 2ishK off a 6/2DD into aerial feels bad man. Plus her normals got gutted to an extent.
  18. This. Once you get to a certain skill level, Ragna actually has to be pretty darn random to get damage in. Once you learn how to block overheads consistently Ragna's damage output drops considerably. And if he doesn't get his hits at a certain range, his damage peaks out at what, 2.2Kish? That said, when he actually does get hits in, he makes you pay and gains giant amounts of meter while doing so. And there's always IB>Inferno Divider along with it being risk free 99% of the time because Ragna has meter to RC it safe. That is what's keeping him where he is now.
  19. Judging a Character's potential based on what you've played on netplay=lol. Carl might honestly be equal with Ragna at this point
  20. Some Japanese guy is going to come out of nowhere with some video of some sort and then you're going to see everyone on Mu's nuts. Or should I say Vag plate.
  21. May I interest you in some Morton's Salt? Lol JK, GGs, my Ragna's pretty scrubby despite how much I've played.

  22. I'd really like to know this too. Mr Oso's Carl was killing me the other day and I was wondering how to approach this
  23. I think Jin is better than Lambda at that spot tbqh, he'd leapfrog her.
  24. I bet it was in one of those deleted topics a few weeks back

  25. lol Virtua Fighter
