If you're in training mode, find the recovery option for the dummy, set the slider bar to 0 and the tech direction to forward or back (neutral tech is like 1 frame slower), then try to make your own combos. They won't work. Expect anyone you play in real life to tech like this, always

When the combo counter turns dark red/"black beat" combos, it means your opponent could have teched out of the combo and normally you would not have finished it as they would have escaped. BUT If for some reason they don't tech then yes keep going BUT Don't sit around "making your own combos", "black beat"/invalid/forestblazer combos do not work in real play. Go to your characters section on the forums and read the combo thread, use those combos exclusively as the game has been out long enough that the most optimal combos have already been found.

solution: get a non-mong (stickbug) to run your brackets
