Honestly, once they were counting Sol's feats from Overture and outside sources, Ragna was utterly screwed (or rather, any small chance he had with soul siphon died).
-
And then who's to say Guilty Gear's magic isn't super effective against the Black Beast? You'll go in circles with that line of logic.
-
It's meant to be a template for someone to adjust (those are his old matchup charts from previous games), but the more I play and watch high level Xrd, the less a lot of the old stuff seems applicable even on a basic level. The systems and the frame data have changed for everybody, and Ky's average damage has improved greatly relative to the cast. In most cases, a complete rewrite is necessary.

Did you use 22b to deactivate? If so, that puts you in a half-drained state. You want to use 22A to deactivate if you can.

Indeed, Jourdal. I'll still be playing Hakumen, but now I can finally do what I wanted to do years ago--play Guilty Gear with human players without the need to go to a tourney (while online was possible, I'm working under the assumption the netcode will be good). That and I can finally teach my friend how to play, and then we can go get our asses kicked together! I'll still be maining Ky (and subbing a barely mediocre Dizzy), but this announcement makes me to play with the entire cast again and see if someone strikes a chord with me. I always had fun playing Jam (horribly)...

Sounds great! When I saw those corner carry combos in the vids, I thought they'd be high execution for the damage and distance they were covering. Can't wait to hit the lab when the US version arrives. And my friend/sparring partner can't complain either--he mains Ragna, so we'll both be enjoying the buffs.

The BB Community, EVO, Netplay, and the FGC.
Jmyster replied to St1ckBuG's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
Unfortunately, I'm part of the netplayer group since I don't have the time to travel to tournaments (highschool in my Guilty Gear days, college in the BlazBlue days). Still, I do care about the community, and I was angry as anyone else that BlazBlue did not make it into EVO. I can't see my situation changing for at least two years, but I do want to contribute something--anything--if it helps increase BlazBlue's exposure. I'd be happy to donate money to the EVO side tournament or to the BlazBlue tournament if it gets setup (and if we include multiple "anime" fighters I'd love to see Melty Blood Current Code in the lineup and the obvious Guilty Gear AC). I'll also try to participate in any online tourneys that are setup, even if it means getting completely and thoroughly trashed. -
There is some merit to the idea--however, there is an execution center up already in the second post. Perhaps all that needs to be done is to expand it, maybe give some more detail on specific combos.

I prefer to go manga man (washed out normal colors) myself, but I'm not too picky if I face someone that REALLY likes that color/style (otherwise I either go normal or Baikeman).

I know, right? I just lost another impractical way to troll my friend!

So apparently, according to an update to the loketest thread, 6B can no longer break primers. ...as if that move needed to get even less useful. I can't complain with all the buffs, but I don't understand why they would attack 6B.
-
Hmm, if the kishuu change sticks, we'll have a lot of things to experiment with. It could either be only really useful against certain characters, or could open a slew of options we did not have before (depending on when that invincibility starts/how long it lasts). Either way, it's a welcome addition--I'd love to score some surprise counter hits with that. Of course, I'm still wondering if the new 6A will be a viable anti-air. It's still very different from the CT 6A.

That "reveal" was a good laugh. Hell if that was how PW appeared in the game, I'd be okay with it!

In the news thread. Loketest thread has been updated as well. And it seems, all changes from the last test have stayed unless otherwise mentioned/shown in the character sections.
