  1. Let's hope so. As for French Bread, even if that is friendly jest/competition, it was not the smartest way to end the advertisement. Flame War--ready, GO!
  2. Just started getting into Melty Blood (a natural reaction to completing Tsukihime) and...wow Sion. I've seen the lists from the previous games since I picked up the older ones for story. She's like an immovable pillar! ...I still need to get to deciding who to main though. It's a hell of a lot harder when you like the majority of the cast.
  3. Hmm. I played Guilty Gear XX like mad, but I never got into any kind of scene (or faced any human opponent who wasn't a family member or friend I forced into it) and spent all my time fighting the CPU, and somehow I still loved it to death, all the way through AC. The gameplay was just that good. I hope for the next installment, assuming there really is one, they keep all the mechanics I could hardly master as a casual player. For one, it just gave me something to do, even if my only opponent was an input-reading ignoramus. Two, it's freakin' awesome. Even playing low-execution Ky, I was beside myself when I finally did full VT loops on the cpu. (Okay, like 20% of the time, but hey!) Of course, my dream Guilty Gear game is just AC+ with online and sprite updates (to avoid HD problems). >_> Whatever happens, the only thing that must stay the same is the speed. Making it easier to appeal more is one thing, but keep that lightning fast gameplay. It wouldn't be the same without it.
  4. Guilty Gear. I never played any competent human being, but I still loved that game to death. BlazBlue seemed right up my alley, and online play really got me interested. Choosing a main was difficult though. And then I landed a yukikaze. Haven't looked back.
  5. I knew she was cool when she came here at CS launch, but wow. That's amazing, and spot on too!
  6. Assuming that only the second hit of renka causes the wall bounce, I'm cool with most of these changes, although the regular D counter nerfs are still head scratchers. I wonder how the wall bounce will affect hotaru's combo damage. Will we have to rapid to do anything other than 6C (or basic air hit)? Heh, and just when I was getting comboing off hotaru down pat. Guess we'll see if it sticks.
  7. All hail the Tsubaki disc. I was pleasantly surprised as well. Until I learn her decently, I'll be sticking with Hakumen as my sole main, but I'll be hitting up training and sneaking some practice in player matches. Need a lot of practice with those high/jump cancels...pad is killing me here.
  8. Eh, the list hasn't really been updated. Well, if it does, PSN: Jmyster598, New York.
  9. The game just keeps changing. There's still stuff being discovered I guess. Although, aside from S tier, I think people still have a hard time agreeing on the rest.
  10. I don't think he'd be lower than Tager now, yeah (without clap loop). Not so sure he'd escape C tier though/be clearly better than Bang and Hakumen.
  11. No problem, and hey, it's the truth! :eng101: A shame you had to put up with that guy. Trolls will be trolls.

  12. Looking forward to this. Curious about Tsubaki (who I'm probably going to sub regardless of tiers).
  13. Just Sol is good enough. It's nice, simple, and nostalgic. Failing that, the ragna+sol is good too.
  14. GG: Played Guilty Gear XX in an arcade. The art style amazed me, and the game oozed style and weirdness. I picked :KY: to start, and liked him the most, although each character made a first impression, however wrong it turned out to be ("who's that uh...lady of the night hitting on Ky? Eh, woman with possessed spirit wings? Holy frack hair. Is Testament a vampire? Why do Ky and Sol hate each other? God this is awesome"). When I finally got it on the PS2, that didn't change at all. BB: Got interested because of Guilty Gear, but unlike with GG, this was a much harder choice. I think the only person I really ruled out was Carl, because I didn't like his playstyle. It eventually came down to Jin, Nu, Noel, and Hakumen. ...and then I pulled off Yukikaze. And I never looked back.
