  1. The 21st works for me, looking forward to it.
  2. Wow, it looks like a new Chikuseki technique has been discovered. It's so crazy that people are figuring out new techniques for this game still! It appears that even moves that don't actually hit(which includes missed moves, startup canceled moves, and moves that don't execute due to landing) count towards Chikuseki. This means that by adding a bunch of extra inputs into wall combos you can get INSANE meter gains/dizzy on your next wakeup attack. Here are some videos of it in action: Jagi - http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21599988 Shin - http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm21891523
  3. That sounds awesome, I'm definitely down for some more Hokuto! I'll be in Kelowna for the holidays from the 23rd but anything before that works for me. I finally found all my old PS2 games so if anyone is interested we can also play Garou or Isuka(I don't have a multitap though ).
  4. Sorry for the late reply! I don't play Toki so anything you have written up would be a great help. Please feel free to add it to the Wiki or post it here and I can do it. I have been really busy on my days off lately so I haven't been updating as much as I would like, but aside from a bit of formatting/editing and the match ups section I am pretty much done with the Kenshiro. Next up is probably Juda, fun times!
  5. It was Faust kancho-ing people in Xrd. Pretty funny stuff.
  6. Hello again! I was actually able to play some Hokuto with real live people this past weekend, which was awesome. Juda is one of the most interesting characters in the game so I think I will do him next. I wrote out a very rough transcript of the Juda combo section at work yesterday and posted it here, but skipped over quite a bit as the section is really badly organized and has a lot of obsolete and repetitive stuff there. On my days off I will have to comb through the BBS and do some practice mode to get my information straight, then organize everything nicely.
  7. Good games yesterday! It was awesome to get it some Hokuto matches after so long, and losing terribly in Guilty was fun too. Thanks for inviting me! Next time we will have to do some Garou as well!
  8. @Saru Kada: Saturday is great for me, just let me know the when/where, and if I should bring beers or not. @Zieg: Yes! Will you be coming this weekend? Would love to play some Garou.
  9. Hey again, great to hear from you all. @Saru Kada: Wow someone who plays Hokuto! That's awesome! I haven't really touched anything since I moved back to Canada so I am beyond rusty as well. I live in North Van and work downtown so UBC isn't that far away for me - please definitely let me know next time you are hosting something, I would love to go. @JOFan: Greetings! I am pretty awful at GG so my Johnny probably isn't as good as yours, but I would certainly be open to a good old fight to the death anyways!
  10. Hey! I'm glad people are actually reading this forum! The Japanese Wiki is a very complete and awesome resource, and I have been referencing it constantly while writing the SRK Wiki. Once I am done with the Kenshiro section I will pretty much be out of my area of expertise, so I will most likely be relying on it even more! Eventually I would like to have all the information available on the Japanese Wiki transfered over to the English SRK Wiki. For now, if there are any particular sections you are interested in let me know and I would be happy to translate them for you. It's not like I have anything better to do at work!
  11. Hello all, new to Vancouver here. Are there any get-togethers for GG or other slightly less mainstream games? I went to Secret Base which was pretty cool and has a great setup, but I am not really that in to SFIV or Marvel. Also, unlikely as it is, if anyone plays/is interested in Hokuto(best game ever!) or Garou, hit me up! I am suffering from serious withdrawal from not being able to play these anymore. I would be happy to teach, not that I am super pro or anything, so don't be shy!
  12. Hello all, Recently I have been feeling a severe lack of MANLINESS in my fighting games. Luckily, I knew just what to do - I dusted off my PS2, bought a new stick(dear god trying to get a good PS2 stick in Canada was an expensive ordeal ), and busted out my copy of Hokuto no Ken! Now I just need someone to play with... But getting to the point, I started working on the Hokuto no Ken section over at the Shoryuken Wiki sometime last year, and have updating it very sporadically. Now that I have a stick and can actually play the game, I would like to continue working on it and finish what I started. I think it would be nice if there was complete resource of up to date information to help would-be mohikans get into this awesome game. I still need to add some stuff but I am pretty much done with the pages relating to the game's mechanics, so next up I will be working on the character sections. I have already written a very in depth guide for Raoh, so check it out if interested! Anyways, if anyone out there is still playing, give me a shout out. I would also be happy to answer any questions you may have about the game, and if you are ever in the Vancouver area, hit me up for some Hokuto.
  13. The Japanese GG wiki has a fairly decent #R section if you don't mind using Google translate for some of the stuff.
  14. Hilarious bug at about 12:30 in 4月19日 中野TRF 北斗の拳 「K.Iは受け SP」 その2, K.I Heart vs Oshin Shin. Never seen that one before, I wonder what would have happened if the grab had killed Heart as well.
  15. Hey guys, new here. I live in Nagoya and have recently been going to the tournaments in Yagoto. If anyone here is ever in the area you should definitely stop by. There are a bunch of top level players and everyone is really nice. Tourneys are every second Saturday at 2PM. I will probably be in TRF for most of golden week so if anyone is around we can play a few matches or something. Also if you are visiting Tokyo and TRF is too cramped for your taste Takadanobaba Mikado and Shibuya Kaikan are also great places to check out. Anyway I play Raoh so here are some Raoh videos Raoh guide by Koju/Hige/others http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm6706401 Koju and some others in KI(Shin) Dojo http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9132960 Koju and Matayoshi in KI(Yuda) Dojo http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8126551 Bonus http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9089474
