  5. So the issue here is the maneuverability of units with unique ground dashes in relation to a stage picked? Or am I completely off topic here? I mention Injustice because each stages in that game has interact-able objects that can extend/start a combo where total damage varies depending on what characters you are using. Because of this, different characters can gain advantages from picking a stage that would complement them the most which, in my opinion, is quite similar to the problem we are discussing here. To me, I feel that giving teams the opportunity to pick stages that would give them the edge, and/or put the opponent in disadvantageous position gives the game more depths. Teams can actually form tactics to make use of a stage's terrain, or even plan ahead to deal with troublesome stages (dealing with bad matchups) and turn the situation around. If the problem with these terrains are THAT bad, however, you can always allow them to have a reserve unit to compensate for it. Truth be told, I never really understand the point of a 100% character-locked tournament. I mean what are you going to do when you have to fight against your character's HORRIBLE matchup (an example'd be SSF4AE2012's T.Hawk vs Blanka 2-8 matchup)? Though I suppose that being a 2v2 game alleviates this problem by quite a bit.
  6. Why don't we do like injustice and let the players choose the stage that'd give them advantages? Start with rock,paper, and scissor then losing team can pick the stage after.

  8. I'm looking for a partner! Preferrably someone with 50+/- 5% winrate so we are in roughly the same skills level. Post here if interested then we can try to do some teamfree/ranked hold and go from there.
  9. Fun tournament though took a little long too complete due to individual connections which isn't SetsunaYuki's fault. IMO the winners from loser bracket should have a chance to fight the winners of the winner bracket again. They'd have to win 2 times (can be changed to match other format). 1 win to reset the bracket,and another to win the grand final. You could also make a separate shuffle tournament with the winners decided by the total number of wins after playing a fixed amount of games. I'm looking forward to the tournament after next (I can't join in the next one because I'm busy on Friday. I'd very much prefer the tourney to be on Sunday if possible). BTW, do you know of a good filehosting site that I don't have to register so I can upload the replay files?

  12. Ugh...Why did they increase G.sumo, and heavy arms cost? These 2 units are anything but high tier in FB. They don't deserve this.
  13. Why do people melee in midair once they run out of boost? To change the landing timing? I've been seeing some people doing this as of late... Also, can someone give me an example of Amekyan? I know what it means but I have yet too see it in practice (for me, at least).
  14. Why is providence in A tier when units like Quebeleys are in B tier? I like providence and all but seriously,he has no moves besides funnels, BR, and unreliable stun net. Edit: BTW if anyone could explain to me why Zeong is so high up I'd appreciate it.
  15. Ifield still only blocks beam. Moves that doesn't cause stun right away like MG cannot stop ifield dash and will only stop once damage/hits threshold is high enough to stun.

  17. Vanilla player here but I haven't touched the game since Blue Destiny unit 2 was released so it's been a while. I main Gold sumo, turn-X, and X2 in vanilla but that might change. My JPN PSN is jpnman777. I'm quite rusty and stilll adapting to FB changes atm.

  21. I like kinniku buster. You know, from kinnikuman manga (original one). I'm pretty damn sure kiinkuman is the reason why all super damaging throws are ended with "buster." Yes, there is a game ver of it.
