  1. ^No such thing as false blue beat. Anyways, let's keep this thread on topic, submission of videos please: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZuyiSzyQ9k Joker Hazama challenges for the win.
  2. I prefer 5A > 5C and 214D~B as my anti-airs. Why does everyone consider 214D~B a poor man's anti-air. Due to the stance startup frames?
  3. It's always been 2A > 5B > 214D~A or 214D~C and variations of it. What did you used to do Arifureta?
  4. It isn't. Just a little tidbit that's nice to have once in a while. It's still worthy of mention in my opinion.
  5. Well, that 4000 damage character specific combo is confirmed to work on Taokaka, Arakune, Hakumen, Tager, and Rachel thus far. The timing is so strict that I'll stick with the regular BnB's for the time being though.
  6. Yeah, Jabaki (Venom Sword) has good frame advantage on block. And does a little chip damage. Also, if you want to get someone who's pressuring you out of your face, you may be able to CH them away. Rare scenario, but it has it's uses. Mostly useless, but not completely awful. I'll probably use it about once every 8-10 rounds, haha. The only practical application I'll use would be for a pressure ender.
  7. Thanks for the compliment bjholmes. I didn't come up with j.214B# though. I think that term was being tossed around beforehand to abbreviate the combo. Haha, and the 10K combo is pretty awesome, very impractical. But an awesome combo to taunt any Tager players with.

  8. There's a lot more to Hazama than spamming his Drive attacks. It just really annoys me when people say that. You need to master the speed of his normals and FC 236236B to even stand a chance with him at competitive play. If you use his drive incorrectly, any good player can easily jump over it and punish you.
  9. Most people don't know the english names yet, sorry about that. It's 214D~C, and you can wait a bit longer after 214D to make the follow up attack with C higher damage and a slightly larger range I believe. It's used mid-combo to create an overall higher damage combo. Usually adds around 200 damage or so.
  10. ^ Well, I know 3C links into 236D. So I think Venom sword might be safe there. I believe it'll do a little chip damage after 3C, so you might be able to kill someone if they're really low in health. Not an awful move, just has little to no use right now. I have a feeling that in the next BB, it'll be buffed, and we'll find ourselves using it mid-combo. I think it looks pretty cool personally.
  11. ^ 5C also hits Taokaka on the ground. I try to think of it as 5C = 5 Characters OTG - Hakumen, Rachel, Taokaka, Arakune, and Tager.
  12. Haha, basically 236D. We should probably use notations instead of Jayoku as well. At least when the U.S. version comes out, a bunch of newcomers will have no idea what Jayoku means.
  13. Nice combo. Substituting the 3C's for 5C basically. Haha, since 5C's proration is so much better, it results in massive damage. Tager can't stand up to any of Hazama's combos, especially since you can 4D~A or 6D~A 3-4 times on him, and he still can't tech. Big guys suffer.
  14. I tend to do the exact same autopilot blockstring, for the first one you mentioned I mean. But basing on what Buppa does and his success. I think alternating between 2A > 5B > 5B > 214D~A/214d~C tends to work best. Maybe your opponent has a frame advantage after 3C, because Buppa only follows it up with Venom Sword. (Still trying to get used to those english names.)
  15. Oh, we have never discussed that before. But I do remember seeing that combo in a video. It was done by a person I know on youtube. Too lazy to find the link right now, but I'll show it to you at some point. And yeah, I plan to use RC's and Mizuchi Rekkazan to stand out from the other Hazama's. I also want to focus heavily on corner combos. Basically baiting my opponent to pressure me in the corner, then I Jayoku them to their death. It's all semi-risky, but has a high reward, and that's how I play, haha. I'm hoping some of the people on this forum switch to some of the new DLC characters as well. Fireryda may switch to Platina now, haha. Nonetheless, I can't wait for this game, mirror matches or not, I'll succeed with Hazama. Just 19 days left!
  16. ^ Well, if you're right, I'll be a happy man, since I hate mirror matches. So humiliating losing with your own character. And yeah, they probably will drop him since he's somewhat weird/hard to use. I'm surprised about the japanese videos that have been submitted thus far. Almost no Hazama's in ranked matches. I would say people are afraid to try something new out. But there's so many Mu-12's it's overwhelming. Ah well. All the more children and women to beat up on.
  17. Yeah, there's a section for Astral Finish combos on the first page. And those ones were included, no big deal though. And Arakune 720? Does that actually work? Haha... Or is that his new Astral input in CS?
  18. Yeah, the j.6D is definitely the hardest part. The rest of it's extremely easy if you just RC Jakou, and proceed to j.6D~D. I've only landed that combo once on Tager when I was practicing it earlier, haha. Other than that, no luck really. But I haven't tried it much.
  19. Well, from what I've heard and tested a few times, you need to be close after 3C in order for his Astral to connect. It's funny, Hazama's Astral is the only one I can remember. Could never remember Arakunes back in CT. Such a long input.
  20. A recent video I saw showed that it was also possible on Taokaka. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgfTWPmbtHY 6:02 - Works on Taokaka. Not the exact combo, but a jump 6D~D does work. I don't believe this would work on all characters. My guess is it works on the characters who can be picked up with 5C > 2C in the corner without the 2B first. Ex: Taokaka, Hakumen, Tager, Rachel, Arakune. I think that's all, if I'm forgetting anyone, let me know guys. I don't know if I'll end up practicing that in real matches. It'd be great to master, but the timing is extremely strick, so I may just stick to the BnB's, and FC Jayoku combos. The corner combos are my favorite by far though.
  21. Fair enough, I'll add it to the first post so people won't make the same mistake. Thanks for notifying me about that J-Man. And if we can find a way to get that 6D~A > 4D~A > 623D combo to work on everyone, it'd be amazing. Haha, 4000 damage off of 5B, hello nerf... Then again, some of the other characters are even less forgiving.
  22. Sorry for the double post guys. But didn't think you'd notice a new video was submitted unless I posted something new: Another Hazama Combo Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrSJuTEgetg Very basic stuff, seems like most people starting off Hazama don't understand or don't care that he can do a 4D~A before 4D~D. At least they got the charged Devouring Fang down though. Nothing really noteworthy besides the last Arakune combo. I really want to figure out who that works on if it's character specific. Since a 4000 damage "BnB" is awesome with no heat spent.
  23. There's actually a Tager specific combo that you continuously loop TK j.214B over and over. Even though the proration's low, if Tager's stuck in the corner, you can get up to 3700 damage. I wonder if you could pull off a similar or slightly shorter combo on the rest of the cast. Stuff like that's usually for show, but it's interesting nonetheles.
  24. Wait, you said buffering the dash during the ending animation for Jakou? It's not dash cancelable. Just mashing 66 during the chain retraction period never seems to work for me. I buffer mizuchi rekkazan a lot during Jakou, but the dash I time for when the chain just finishes coming back.
  25. Im all honesty. I've never been into 2D fighting games before BlazBlue: CT, and Street Fighter IV. I played a few capcom vs snk back in the day, but only once or twice in my life. I've used Arakune, Vega, and Hazama. So I feel like being able to move around the screen normally with a character is odd, haha. I always tend to use somewhat "deceptive" fighting styles anyways. Or at least something with a weird control scheme, since weird always feels most natural to me.
