  2. Hey guys, I wanna get some discussion going on the potential changes made for Rachel for the upcoming update. As it stands now: Rachel @HiagoXYZ - Standing stagger frontal hurtbox increased - 2C: blows opponent farther away on CH - j.B: not an overhead anymore - j.2C: landing recovery decreased; only cancelable on hit; COMBO TIME LEVEL INCREASED - Wind: no matter which direction you use it, it'll add to the negative penalty - Wind: YOU CAN'T USE WIND DURING ANY KIND OF TECH; OD STARTUP OR DURING EA - Frog: when hit by a projectile, the frog will get knocked back - 214B: bats appear faster; they're blown up in a different way by wind; the AoE in which bats deal damage has been increased -214B: damage increased when touched by a bat, but the max damage has been decreased; Rachel's meter won't increase when they hit - 214B: when Rachel is damaged the move disappears (won't disappear on block) ------------------------- Overall, I'm okay with this. It doesn't seem like her total damage output changed too much. Just that we have to work a little harder to get the advantage. Cat chair changes might just require a different combo route so no real big deal there. j.b not being an overhead anymore. Ouch. Big ouch. Not huge but we now have to rely more heavily on j.a j.2c changes, I would have loved if they didn't make it non cancellable on block. Maybe having less landing recovery will allow for some classic BBCT mix ups. To be honest not a risk I'd take without surefire certainty. Increased combo time might lead to more combo routes which would be great! Negative penalty on win in any direction. This sucks. It needs a very useful corner escape tactic. FAAAKKK Being u able to use wind during tech.tbis hurts me the most. I USE wind during tech all the time. Incredible escape tactic is now gone. Her defense is slashed pretty bad. Frog kickback when hit by a projectile. Alright fine. Bat changes seem manageable. Just a slight max dmg nerf and heat gain nerf. New wind trajectory though. A lot of it seems fair. Seems like her combo routes stayed the same maybe with some new j.2c options.
  3. No kidding man. Two episodes in and we're already at the conclusion of CT. With a story as complex as BB, there should be plenty of ground to cover without it being considered "filler".
  4. People who bitch about the way you play when your character is designed to play in that manner. I got shit from a Ragna today because I was running away like a pussy with Rachel and spamming the pumpkin.

  7. lvl 3 j2.c just made my day. I haven't seen any at all and it's good to know it still has its uses. Also, I believe Jin also took pumpkin damage after the sword iris
  8. I guess it depends on the situation. If you're in DESPERATE need for wind (which is common with certain characters) and they aren't exactly the "come-back" type of character, OR you're one hit away from death, I say go for it. But we all know Rachel's defense is balls, I really can't see myself sacrificing my bursts for a few extra damage points. I can see myself using OD once for every dozen bursts.
  9. I just hate that we can't follow up with more fun afterwards. And it does practically nothing without poles. And I know they tried to trim the combo length in this game but come on, it's in our blood to follow up with lots of fun shit after BBL. Also lvl3j.2c..... that was just evil what they did to it.
  10. In the corner, after an oki-setup, sometimes the opponent likes to tech forward (for... some reason). 5CC will connect with a forward tech and a backward tech if you're close enough. This is only safe though if you already set up a frog (or pumpkin) because if they do a normal tech, then you're vulnerable to their attacks. That's the only way I can pull off a 5CC starter: In the corner, hope the opponent forward techs, will immediately connect to frog. May seem very situational, but I've been successful in pulling it off lots of times.

  14. Not gonna lie, waiting is half the fun for me. I spend hours watching match videos just speculating. I remember the wait for BBCS was unreal, I was so psyched to feel how it played, see the new story, etc. So the anticipation for me now for CP is unreal right now! Though I wouldn't mind an early summer release...

  16. What I don't understand is what happens when one lotus connects with the opponent compared to three. Or when there is already a lotus and more follow. Does the duration carry over and add on? What about blocking compared to being actually hit. I'm really starting to love it, lotus is showing to be a great long-rang keep away move. As opposed to sword iris which only hits in one place, I love that they take time to fly to the opponent with active hit boxes giving Rachel more time to toss out more if she wanted.

  19. So you have one lotus that affects vertical direction wind and one that affects horizontal wind. Now does the increased power of the wind affect both you AND the opponent then the bats are flying around them?

Standard air frog into 1d >5cc, dash over, super jump, j.2c and loop it one more time. Don't have a video because while it's recorded on one of my slots, I can't get the properly timed jump which leads to a j.c counter hit that doesn't blue beat the combo. No other starter will work. The meter gain is I believe over 50. Same colors, opponent might need Tager, Relius, or Valk for best results, I used bang.

  24. Damn I actually used this. Success was completely based on the ignorance of the opponent. Once they realized what was going on, they easily evasive actioned out of the flame's touch, but I was still able to shorten delays or use tech traps, and well, I guess thats gone
  25. I came here to say this. I feel like you can block low the whole match against Yukiko and have no problem. I can't seem to figure out any good days to set up a high, even when I do, I can't land fast enough to finish the combo (if a j.a connects)
