  1. Not sure if this helps but alot of Carls moves are direct translations of french IE Vivace-Lively or to act with excitement Cantabile- Giving the command to play, as in preform So maybe Relius is similar to carl since it is his father
  2. Looks like our J2c got a buff,, we can cross up ppl in the corner now An out 6a got an INV nerf
  3. All we can do is hope that they give us better teleport combos cause as of now the volante combo is our only one
  4. I dont kno about that zoogs cause that isnt really a nerf to carl in general =/ we can still do it in things like our volante combos so im pretty sure its here to stay. But well have the second locktest results soon, they got to give us a dmg buff cause our combos just wont be good enough to compete with everyone else. Alot of our moves are useless mid combo, im sure that alot of carls normal are going to be buffed. We arnt able to use 2c 6a 3c & 6c mid combo & expect to get dmg cause all of these normals are crapy if u use them mid combo. An im talking about an actual combo, not using 2c>236c to set up for the loop. IMO we should get a 6a proration buff 2c longer untech time & 3c better proration & we would be in business. -EDIT- Wait zoogs u kno they mean j2c once per jump. That mean while we are in the air & we do 1 j2c we need to jump cancel to do it again
  5. Seta a carl that use Ada for only combos wouldn't take more meter. Thats not how Ada works, if Ada is kept on her Hp is constantly being draind. If u use the same attact the amount is constantly increasing every time u do it. Ada has an Hp of 10K 3D cost about 1k-per however if u keep her on the price of the move will increase IE 1k for the first hit then 1.2k for the 2nd then 1.4k for the 3rd. So in all actuality the loop does cost alot more because ur doing the same attact & keeping her on. Combos dont require to keep her on =/ Ada turns off right after volante for our mid screen combo. An idk who told u, that 4D combos cant be done cause they can. Its just u need to already be in C-O-N so most ppl set up for carls 2D/6B reset into a 4D combo, it does very good dmg & the whole combo only take about 1/4 of Adas meter =/
  6. Also JG they had to make carl less dependent on Ada due to her Hp drop so the combos from cs1 im sure they still work. But i wouldn't recommend them due to Ada's lack of Hp.
  7. Like JG said i hav that same feeling, i just cant get past 5k in an actually fight. Its almost impossible, however i believe this new carl in CS2+ will hav a dmg buff but Ada meter will be the same. Iv noticed while im playin that the loop in itself CRUSHES Ada meter. Take it out & ur ada would be fine. Not only that, the proration on cantabile is bad... But it aint @ss, 5b>6b>cantabile=5k in C-O-N Mid screen. The issue as a carl player was that we can only get good dmg in C-O-N conditions. If we were in any other formation our only legit option was either the volante combo or the loop. With this new 6C we hav a Hazama effect going on. If we want dmg we gotta use cantabile, so the less hits into cantabile the better just like Haz. We can probably do cantabile>22D>6c>vivace B>2Dhits>5c>jc>4Dhits>66>6B>sjb>j2c>jB>jb>jc>volante hits>J2c>jb>Jb>jc>8Dhits>fermata & thats around 5k. With every patch the proration on our moves always change, so dont count lil carl out just yet.

  9. Symphony the 623c>2c>236a is more useful because it sets up for the j2c>jb loop into the jb/3D reset. However it doesnt do more dmg then the volante combo so if u hav the skill to do the 623c>2c>236a into the loop>reset then do it. If not then stick to the volante combo, it does an extra 1k.. JG carls weakest point is his neutral game =/ so u cant really get around that. If u see them jumping =/ screw the 6a vivace ur ass outta there & if ada near make her swing & u got him in a block string. If she not close then u can vivace-a>22D & they will block out of fear for ada so u can recover from ur Viv-a into pressure. As for him jumping out ur pressure after any KD u should always do 22D then 236b just incase they roll then use 6D to force them to block. An if they jumpin out of pressure do 8D, If u aint in C-O-N spamm ja & 22d then make Ada 6D then u go into vivace-A & u got them in C-O-N

  11. lol if u land that its game over for the enemy, if they standing u jump cancel the 5c>6D into [J2c>jb(x6)]>j2c>Ja(3D)>ja>jb/3D reset. Then 5b>2b>6b>623c>3D>[j2c>jb Loop(x3)]>ja(3D)>ja>jb/3D reset & u keep doing it till Ada bout to die or them ^-^
  12. Zeru64 the volante combo doesnt need spacing because u teleport Ada mid combo. So it will always work. An when u say a.jc>aB im assuming ur talking about the j2c>Jb loop. U need to find combos that allow u to hit the j2c first. Then u use Ada to push them closer so it wont drop
  13. It doesnt matter hit or block,,, u input 214c after the j.2c. Its called j2c-allecan.
  14. The issue with the first part is that need to do super jump jb. Number two it depends wat reset u doing cause if u do 6D>bla>bla>ROM(236236D) U can do 6b>j2c allecan >6b>j2c allecan>6b>full charge 6C during ROM. The full charged 6C will reset it. Even if they were to IB nirvana they still dont got the frames to Dp then u can 3c>Final hit of ROM into 5c>jb>j2c>(Volante)>Jb>jb>j2c>jc>volante hits>5c>Jb>Jc>Brio>3c>GearDD its like a 4.3k reset & unless u extra far from the wall it will always connect. As for the third one, u said u played cs1 carl that means u kno his 4D combos. Or kno of his 4D combos,,,,, u use the 4D combo or go into his jb>j2c loop into the jb/3D reset both are good options but if u low on meter use the 4D combo

Im not sure how u are doing Sjc>5B O.o i believe u typed ur combo wrong,, but for bnb's u should do 5b>6b>623c>22D>6B or 5c>j.b>(j421D)>j2c>jb>jump cancel>jb>j2c>Jc>22D>volante hits>5c>j.b>jc its about 3.5k i believe. An as for simple follow ups while in C-O-N 5b>5c>6D>5b>5c>623c>5c>j.b>j2c>jb>Jb>jc>8D>3c or 8D>Uppercut ultra Any combo that ends in 3c or jc always do 3D if they try to roll away the 3D will always pick them up..... if Ada is close by. I also posted several beginner combos on the last page
  20. Since u didnt play CT ur lacking some basic carl skills like his glide throw & allencan. To do allencan, u do j2c and as u hit them input allegreto/J214C & carl will fall to the ground instead of bouncing after j2c, but it only works if ur semi close to the ground. When typing combos with carl u will see C-O-N O-C-N O-N-C & W-O-C-N they are positionings W=Wall O=opponent C=carl N=Nirvana. If u are in O-C-N use these to get into C-O-N 5b>2b>6b>6D>236a>5a>5b>2b>3c>3D or even 5b>6b>6D>IAD J2c-allecan 5a>5b>2b>3c>3D
  21. If ur talking combos look @ challenge mode, but remember challenge mode combos are not always optimal combos. Ur free to change things around for more dmg. Think of it as, if u cant use D in a combo cause its to slow, use C if u cant use C use a B. With this style of thinking ur combos will always be optimized. Also BB has something called minimum dmg & 'same move proration' in SF after a super long combo if u did ur super it would do almost no DMG, in BB all supers hav a minimum dmg value. Meaning no matter how long the combo it will always do a specific amount. An 'same move proration' is a system in the game that makes ur hits in a combo do about 0dmg. It happens if u do a single special move twice in a combo. Like 'Brio' has a wallbounce property, if brio did not have same move proration u could spam brio in the corner then do a Distortion/"ultra" & do like 6k dmg & dat shit aint cute =/

  23. Thanks u saved me the trouble of posting that & if they are blocking ur J.2c J.a j.a jb/3D its cause ur timing is flawed. Like i said before, the new loop is 100% safe & 100% UB if u kno wat ur doing
  24. Because the only UB that is safe is his loop. An in order for his loops & resets to work ull need to hav alot of Ada Hp. Wit her Hp @ full u can get (x2)3k resets with a 4k finish & oki. But the issue is how much Hp does Ada hav after u finish chasing someone down. U may not be able to do all the resets & UB's needed to K.O. So u do as much dmg as u can with the least amount of Ada moves to optimize ur meter usage. An if u do enough dmg to get the hp lead then they gotta come to u, an once u start RTSD against carl. Its GG's lol
