Also, don't be afraid to just patiently close in on Hakumen. If you want to move in on him you pretty much have to inch your way in, get pushed back, inch in, until I either make a mistake and get hit or I get pushed to the corner where I can't space you out anymore. At that point I'd have to do something riskier to get out or you'd at least be able to get in.
