Not sure why you'd be disturbed. Qwaser was actually quite well animated, that's all that really matters in this case. They don't dictate the content, just the art. Although I haven't seen Hiken-chou or MGX, so I couldn't comment on consistency.

It sounds like she has to actually build her meter through damage instead of just zoning and waiting for it to fill up, though. Given that the meter for it looks exactly like Hakumen's I'm assuming it'll generate similarly. And the fact that Tsubaki is a Hakumen fangirl, which drove her to copy one of his game mechanics.

I'm all for fairy tales, but the fact is that some people either aren't interested in support, or just don't have the time for it. It's incredibly difficult to step into fighting games at this point, and difficulty is not conducive with enjoyment a lot of the time. The fact that people walked into this game because it was continuously labeled "accessible" probably doesn't help either; media outlets should have been more liberal with their asterisks. I'll wager that you can be as courteous and helpful to new players as you wish, but you'll inevitably still have to tell them to "suck it up" once they find out the effort they'll have to put in to catch up.
