  1. Hey Scottie, when can I call you? I just want to get the cupcake transportation details out of the way before next Friday. EDIT: Will the tournament be streamed? I'm entering either way to go 0-2, but I just want to know if my sorry face will be broadcast on the internet.
  2. I was wanting to make these cookies and cream cupcakes that have oreo halves in the bottom of them, but if you want me to add variety, I guess I could make a different batch instead. I already have the ingredients for the cookies and cream ones, though.
  3. Yeah, I was a little bit hyper earlier for no reason, but the visual cue is good for practice on when the right timing is. Repetition of that will lead to memorization of that timing. Also, yeah the 2149 motion is better, my bad. I've seen some JP matches where they do 3C after 214D~B without mizuchi and it looks like there's quite a bit of time before they can tech. Other than that, depending on what combo they were doing, there was sometimes the option of doing 5C > j.C x 5 > j.214B as well after 214D~B.
  4. Cupcakes for (at maximum) 24 people, but yeah, it looks pretty good. @Pozer did you see my post about the TK loop in the Hazama forums? Also, in the corner, depending on how long your combo is, you can do a couple of things after stance DP: 1. 3C (236D or 214D~A optional) if you have done the TK loop 2. 5C > j.C x 5 > j.214B you should do this if the previous steps to this combo were 5C > j.C x 5 > (land) 5C (optional 2C) > stance DP
  5. Ehem, I think this an appropriate starter to a post about a MOTHERFUCKING BREAKTHROUGH I made as far as visual cues go for the TK Hirentotsu loop. So, if you think to yourself, "man, I can do TK hirentotsu after 2C, but sometimes I do it too late to where it doesn't hit them, or I end up doing backwards sj.B and look like an idiot," then fear no more. Here's a big tip on how to know when to do TK hirentotsu properly after 2C. You know how Hazama's C moves have that pretty trail that follows them? Like Hazama's 5C that makes that sweet looking X through the air? Well, in the case of Hazama's 2C there are 3 stages of that trail. The first is an ellipse, followed by a parabolic shape, and then it disappears. The second you see that parabolic shape disappear, do 2147B and I guarantee you it will connect every time without fail. [note: I'm not sure if this is the part that people have trouble with, but it was most definitely the part I was having trouble with.]
  6. I can't wait to keep being a high-tier smooth criminal (even though I, as a player, suck). Also, I saw your post in the Hazama forums, Pozer. Believe it or not, I may be able to help you with the new Hazama combos, as I've been closely transcribing combos from Japanese matches onto notecards.

I watched the second video, and while you got somewhat lucky with those raw jakou's (hungry coils) like at 4:17, it has a really long recovery on whiff or barrier block, usually enough for them to run up and counter hit if they're close enough and leave you at a disadvantage at almost every distance. In CSE, I think they added more recovery frames to it, so it will be even riskier to do raw.

  14. I have the CS2 patch and all characters except for Plat. The only thing people would need to bring is their own arcade stick (PS3). Also, since I live on campus, that means that I'm pretty close to the arcade most of the time, so walking wouldn't be an issue, unless you're a big baby vagina.
  15. Awww. Well, whatever, I'll still head over to UFO whenever I can (like tonight). I guess I'll just play Gundam Next or the bullet hell game or Metal Slug 6.
  16. You need to be specific. Surely you don't want me or FlameIce to waste your time, but rather have Josh, John, and Jeff play you with Ragna/Rachel/Taokaka, Hazama, and Makoto respectively. Maybe Hoang and Scottie too, as well as that Noel player.
  17. I'm hype about getting special cancels off of throws again. I wonder if the whole plethora of 4B+C > 5D combos work again due to stance cancel. Either way, it'll be nice to have that damage option again as well as better oki off of non-corner throws (hypothetically. I'm envisioning a combo like 5B+C > 623D > 66 > 3C > 214D~A. could possibly add stance cancel after throw followed by 6D into Jakou).

  19. The 'sentence' you're referring to isn't a sentence, it's a fragment. If it was a sentence, the first letter would be capitalized and there would be a period at the end. I am the real grammar Nazi here.
  20. However mean it might be, it's still the truth. I'm a bit new to this game, even though I've been playing since CT, I only had one other person to play in my town, and he hadn't really played fighting games before either. All I've really been doing with Hazama up until this point is just combo theory, and even then, that was on the PS3 dualshock analog stick, not an arcade stick.
  21. GGs to Scottie, Pozer, and Marcell. I made Pozer burst while he was playing Hazama, so I at least had a small victory tonight. Apparently I need to get the high score on the arcade story mode if I want to be any better, according to Pozer.
