Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
Sahgren replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
Now there's an offical video page along with Seth and Yuzuriha screenshots. The loketest last week reportedly went well, but we don't have any videos to go along with it. -

Yeah, for some reason I just can't find any at all. Nothing being uploaded onto either YouTube or Nico-Nico. Hopefully someone else is having better luck than I. -

They're from last week, but I don't recall seeing them posted anywhere: Orie vs Hyde Linne vs Waldstein Hyde vs Linne -
Congrats! I always had trouble with score attack in general; getting first place is pretty awesome.

Yuzuriha and Seth Twitter avas this time. I'm taking it that it's a bad thing that I consider this as a returning to normal after the actual match footage. -

Impressions of the AOU build. I don't think there's anything new here, but just in case. What I got (via Google Translate) from it: -Veil Off requires that you have at least 100 EXS to start. -Throws are A+B instead of A+D. No shield/tech OS like in MB. -Seems like you need a CH to OTG someone... or something. They say that Orie and Gordeau in particular want to fish for CHs. Uncertain about this; I'd appreciate someone else to translate it. -Feedback is largely positive. -Something about "Fukitobi Return" and "Passive Slam". I'm not quite certain what those are. -

The next loktest will reportedly be held on February 25th and 26th. I'll admit, that's sooner than I was expecting. Unfortunately, it doesn't say if it'll be a different build from what was shown at AOU. -

If the game has reverse beats, I either haven't seen them or people are refusing to use them. Range does seem pretty crazy, especially like you said with movement being more restricted and the sprites being bigger. I do have to wonder what the neutral game is going to be like. -

Orie vs Hyde x 2 Damn, Orie is super popular. Though it might just be that this guy is just filming the Orie matches. GRD Vorpal seems to give an ~20% damage increase. -

Three more videos. Ok, technically 1 match video and 2 videos of someone recording the standard demo play that occurs when noone is using the machine. We can still get info off of them. Orie vs Waldstein and Orie vs Hyde Nobody Touching The Machine 1 Nobody Touching The Machine 2 I may have to rethink my assumption that 2As prorate more strongly than in MB. It may just be that GRD does just give a static bonus to offense/defense (like it was originally translated) and that's messing with the damage rather than the 2As. -

From the description, GRD Vorpal occurs every ~15 seconds and gives the person with more GRD gets a boost to their offense/defense. Speculation: It seems like the bonus to offense/defense comes from having more GRD during GRD Vorpal or possibly simply from just having GRD Vorpal without caring about how much GRD you have, not just having a static boost from having more GRD. That means it's more of a scramble to have more GRD than the opponent rather than just keeping it as high as possible. That makes Gordeau even scarier, since his GRD stealing c-grab means that him having momentum means that he almost always has GRD Vorpal on his side. Edit: A attacks seems to prorate more strongly than in MB. During the Orie vs Linne video, each added (what I'm assuming to be) 2A seemed to cut off ~400 damage per combo. -

In general, it builds very slowly over time and from hitting the opponent. Conversely, getting hit loses you GRD. It's possible to go onto the opponent's side of the GRD meter, but it'll drains over time and you lose more of it from getting hit until you're back to the midway point. -

Gordeau's c-grab (the one shown in this pic) seems to steal one GRD from the opponent and add it to Gordeau's side. Considering that he seems to be able to combo into it from long range thanks to the scythe pull in move and gives a hard knockdown with them right next to you, it seems like a go-to combo finisher; especially if GRD plays a really big influence on the match. Thanks to LoliSauce from Melty Bread for the tip. -

His throw steals health and uses it to heal him. Outside of that, doesn't look like it. Everyone's airdash costs meter in this game. Normal air movement is limited to just double jumping; the Assault mechanic stands in for airdashing/super jumping forward. -

More blood specials: It looks like he can make the blood rise off the ground and cause a small crystal explosion. The crystals/glaciers seem to have a follow up where he expands it forward. Both use up the pools. I can't tell if his blood wheel automatically causes a wave to go off or whether the person just felt like controlling space with both at once. Edit: Guess it's safe to assume the wheel just causes a wave to go off if you already have a pool down. -

His specials with the pools seem to be the blood crystals/glaciers and a blood wave. The crystals/glaciers require the pool to be there to be used, but it doesn't consume the pool and only covers the area directly over the pool. The wave covers the entire ground but uses up the pool. For Orie, I can't see any cost to the specials that summon her Stand. -

With Nu/Lambda's blade wings. Looks like the specials that drain Carmine's health also leave a pool of blood on the ground that he can use for more specials that don't cost health. Also looks like he's limited to 2 pools at once. -

I do have to wonder how they're balancing the range. Waldstein kinda makes sense since he's supposed to be big and slow. Gordeau on the other hand is covering the entire screen in some of his scythe attacks, so I'm wondering if those're supposed to be really unsafe or not, or whether his close range game is lacking. Orie actually seems to have one of the shortest reaches so far, but that may just be because nobody is really using her Stand. -

Looks like Veil Off's length is based on your EXS meter and unless there's a way to cancel it, consumes your whole meter. Gordeau be stylin'. -

It is mainly a problem with French Bread/Ecole when it comes to localizations. From what I understand, they didn't even realize that MB had any sort of following here in America until someone brought it up at Hydra GP 2011. They've apparently been paying much more attention since then (following all the American MB players they can find on Twitter and the like), but I get the feeling that getting UNIB a localization would mean having to push for it and make it known that we want it. -

I'm really loving how this looks right now; it's so fluid~. Just wondering if they've managed to fix that issue with the VA contracts they mentioned last year; there doesn't seem to be any character voices. -

Looks like it's just a dead pixel over his character portrait. That or he suddenly decides to wear an eyepatch. Looks like you can still encroach on the opponent's GRD meter, it just doesn't look like they explain how. -

More in depth info courtesy of LoliSauce, BurstOfAnger and Erkz from Melty Bread: -GRD is pronounced as "Grind" not "Guard". -EXS is pronounced "Exist". -4 button layout is A = weak, B = Medium, C = Strong, D = Drive EXS. -It specifically states that you CANNOT use Veil Off like a typical burst to get out of hitstun. -Each level of the GRD bar gives you a definite offense/defense boost. -Chain Shift converts all of your EXS meter into GRD. -To clarify, Infinite Worth requires you to be in Veil Off while having 200 meter. -Attacks/Character sprites can obscure the health bars and damage readout. -A+D is the throw input. Speculation cause they ain't tellin': -GRD can be consumed for EX attacks (GRD Vorpal) and Blowbacks. -
