You can get the same effect if you j.DD > JC > j.2DD > j.214D~C > j.DD > j.214D.

If it's a CH 5D the 236C is guaranteed. I'd much rather wait for the counter hit than try to bait people with an empty teleport. 236A never seems to work for me anyway.
