  1. well, when i try and pull off a basic iad combo like 2a>5b>5d>iad>j4b>etc i end up either not jumping, jumping and not air dashing, or jumping and air dashing, but not pulling off the j4b and just doing a normal jb. When i actually do pull off an iad into j4b it turns into a blue beat combo. My strategy has been tap 9 until i see arakune jump then 66 into j4b....i guess me execution is messy? Thanks kou.
  2. Holy shit. Someone please, teach me how to play like this! hahaha. It seems like I truly must master IAD combos to be truly effective with Arakune. Speaking of which, even while watching videos and Kou's I can't seem to pull of IAD combos. I comprehend the concept and movements necessary in my head, however when i actually try and execute 964jb or ja i end up double jumping of dashing forward. Is there a trick I'm missing? Thank you
  3. Yeah, dude that would be awesome! Thanks a bunch you guys. So, just to re-cap (kind of off topic) the main things an arakune player needs to be able to do is; IAD combos, dive loops and of course the pinwheel loop. Anything else I'm missing...?
  4. Hello! Sorry to bother you guys in this section as well.....but, as I've stated before, I'm a visual learner, so videos are extremely helpful in me learning combos and advanced tactics (skye's videos for example). Anyway, I was wonder if someone could record a video on them do a basic arakune IAD combo (and some tips on how to pull it off)? I can't pull it off for the life of me. I needed another example of a combo as well....but I forgot was it was....I think it was the diveloops but I already have a video of that... Anyway, thanks guys!
  5. I can't even do the dive cancel combo offline. But the pinwheel loop is very easy, the reason you have trouble doing it online, I'm assuming, is because it's a real player and you get nervous? If that's the case, just try and get that out of your mind and focus on execution, that's what i do. Speaking of dive cancels, the only reason I have trouble doing it is the super jump cancel after the first dive cancel into the 5d.....how the hell do you pull it off?! 2 > 9 is giving me a normal jump cancel....
  6. AWESOME! Thank you so much. Can't wait for more of these. Visual learning is so much better for fighting games, thanks man!
  7. I'm sorry, could I get a video of that first combo (the other one if possible)? I find it easier to learn visually.....thank you! Im on the same boat as you! I know most of arakune's pinwheel combos, and a few 100% curse combos, but as far as actually hit confirming them, hahaha, it's all luck for me. Hope someone helps us out! :D
  8. So, what are some good starters for hima's pinwheel loop. I finally mastered it (rather easy). I found a few (besides the ones in challenge mode); 6C(tap D) > C bug hits > D bug hit > loop j4b > 2a > 2a > c bug > d bug > a bug hits > c bug hits > d bug hits > loop (this one is kinda unstable, a b bug will appear becuase of the j4b and if you don't position it right, it will hit the opponent and make the combo techable before the loop even starts). The hard stuff for me is IAD combos (could you guys list me a few easy ones that involve j.4b?) and keeping my cool when I get fever mode and not spamming random bugs - because I DO know the combos, I just lose my cool....
  9. Oh, I'm sorry, I was referring to the easier pinwheel loop. whatever > d bug > j6C > j236CD > d bug hits > xN But, yeah Hima's pinwheel looks doable....I'm just wondering how to time the C bug to hit before the enemy lands....I use a pad and I do not use negative edging (that's the correct term for holding buttons...?). In stead of holding buttons for perfectly timed bugs I kinda buffer or press multiple buttons at a time.... but it seems to work seeing as I can do dive loops and that pinwheel loop I just described rather easily. Another thing, are the challenge mode combos really THAT useless?
  10. Wow, awesome video! So whats the difference between the pinwheel loop hima uses and the one they teach you in arakunes challenge mode? Should I forget about the challenge mode one and learn hima's? Thanks
