Hi Baba! Hi Ziggy! Welcome to TN anime community! We are all pretty friendly so don't be shy. Most of us reside in middle TN and we use discord as our main way of communicating with one another. There are a couple of players in clarksville one named Volpe and another named Star but I think he quit playing fighting games. If you all want pm me your discord so I can invite you to our server. If netplay is your type of thing we have several guys who would be down to play with you all.

Dai edit: Funny enough, the player in these videos is titled "Face Guard Junior" as a joke since Isamu calls himself "Face Guard Senpai". Not sure of his actual identity though. Interesting Bishop Runout concepts in these vids. I'm thinking Bishop Runout can act like Yun's Genei Jin in that you can use it to create high pressure situations or big combos with lots of burst safe points.

I can get j.D relaunch on every character crouching or thrown. I'm finding it impossible to get it on these characters standing up off a c.S launch: millia, i-no, elphelt, may, and ram. Are you guys able to get it on these characters? One other thing is Faust's timing feels exceptionally strict but possible compared to the rest of the cast.

For j.D relaunch the timing can be different depending on if the opponent is crouching, standing, or getting thrown as the opponent goes airborne at different heights. I suggest separate sheets for each.

Hi! Lucky you some of the best play in Memphis. Try to find shinblade, lil majin, or bishop. They don't post here and middle tn area hardly gets to play them outside of a big tournament. If you do manage to find them tell them to post in here more often. Let us know when tournaments are going on as well.

Ronald told me you have people you can go with from chattanooga. In Nashville we already have a full car. Is it possible for you to go with the people from chattanooga? It makes it a lot more convenient for all of us including you.

the times i do empty MS is mainly in the corner after knockdown do S>P ball>66>5P>BH oki. If you are close enough to the opponent after setting up S>P ball oki to where your 5P makes contact with them on block you can go jump cancel it into empty MS and the second ball can still cover you if they decide to mash or block. As an added benefit if your 5P and the ball in front make contact on your opponent at the same time you don't get pushed back allowing you to get a combo afterwards. If you are further out when you hit 5P to where it whiffs and the ball in front needs to travel a bit before making contact you can do 66>TK empty MS which carries the momentum of the dash allowing you to land close enough to the opponent to get the 2k>c.S>real combo. Outside of a setup situation when pressuring and you really want to do it for 50 meter RCing a stinger aim in the corner (after it hits) has a huge amount of blockstun and slowdown that depending on the range you can do 66>TK empty MS and still be able to frametrap them with a 2k if they decide to mash.

Uniel has the kof syndrome it seems. A good number of people are interested but think nobody plays it. Off the top of my head people who play or are interested in it: myself, star, patrick, volpe, mellis, alex, wes, ronald, maybe chandler, maybe caleb.

I've been playing xrd, +r, uniel and wanting to get into third strike and kof 98/2k2um and soul calibur 5. People have been mostly playing xrd and third strike. Has Sid lost all interest in fighting games?

We should post in here more often anyways to let newcomers know there's a scene in middle TN. I was going to start a discussion on skype but i might as well do it here to promote activity. Our scene is lacking a competitive drive. Now I know we are more than just competitors; we are friends and we come out to these monthlies and gatherings to hang out and have a good time. It does bug me though that those of us in the community who are putting real effort to get better at a game feel as though it is not worth it because most of us half ass our attempts at improving our skill level. What I want from our scene is a more focused and competitively driven community that discusses matchups, grinds training mode, etc., but I don't know if that's what you guys want. If you guys want things to remain as they are then I don't blame you because it's still a fun and friendly environment. I know fighting games aren't the only thing in life, we all have a job, gf, family, lawns to mow or other responsibilities that take up our time and trying to get good at a fighting game is very time consuming. There are some fighting game related reasons I think may contribute to the overall lack of competitive drive. 1) Our scene is divided in the games we choose to play. We don't have enough people playing any one game so everyone lacks competition in the game they play. 2) people are less inclined to pick up a game seriously if they have to play catch up with people already skilled at the game 3) People have the time but are lazy and don't want to put the work in to get better. So this brings me to my proposed solution: We need a game or two that the community can be more focused on. A game that has the most of us playing who are knowledgeable and that has the interest of others who haven't picked it up yet. Guilty Gear Xrd is that game. I think a more unified scene in terms of the game being played will motivate people to want to get better since more people are playing it and will also allow newcomers to pick up and get better at a game more quickly because they have more people of various different levels to play with. I know not all of us like Xrd and i am biased in my intentions with what I'm trying to do here. I want you all to play Xrd and I want you all to play it really well because I think it's a good game but I also know that an overall more competitive vibe can help make the game feel more enjoyable and rewarding to play which might be what is needed to get people who don't care for xrd now to enjoy it. What are ya'll's thoughts on this?

i was wondering how to do this string: c.S>5HS>CR. Do you start charging inbetween c.S and 5HS? Any tips on this?
