  1. I'm just saying, all you're doing is demanding empirical evidence. When you provide zilch. Your argument, which also works against what qwerty's doing, also undoes your own argument completely. Don't set a standard you're not going to live up to. Requiring hard data goes both ways. So yes, if you're intent on us being unable to be right until we've done measurements with a caliper, I must insist it is impossible for you to be right without having done measurements with a caliper.
  2. I dunno man; I'm not sure if I could wear that in public.
  3. I'll leave out that last line though, since that'd be a controversial statement. :d Prettied up the grammar too.
  4. I'd look forward to it. And I'll probably get banned for just being interested in such an idea.
  5. The game's getting rebalanced soon. Just play whoever you like and see how it works out post BBCSII balances. Then make w/e decisions you wanna make about playing a higher tier character or one that isn't blind.
  6. "Wanna know the facts? Use a thermometer yourself. You'll find it's cold here, not hot. And that's why I'm right, because you haven't tested it with a thermometer. Until YOU test it and prove the temperature is hot, this room will always be cold, by default. That is how science works, mister."
  7. Man, sure is pessimism in here. I just figured 1) Lambda's good at breaking guards. 2) Reward and ease of guard break has increased quite a bit. Y'know, figure that'd be good news in general! It's too early to worry about the minutiae.
  8. Square isn't something everyone understands intuitively. At first it seems counter intuitive as compared to say octagon or circle (that's what I felt my first time), but if you dig into the theories about engage distance and throw balance, you can understand a bit. Still, it's a preference thing. However, as always, just know square is standard. It's much better in general to be used to it, in case you need to borrow or play on a cabinet. @Supa: I like how you complain about people not providing empirical evidence while using anecdotal evidence to support your claim. kthx If we're going to insist on some quantitative data as necessary to be our proof, then you do realize neither side can be proven or disproven without providing data, right? There isn't some sort of magic making your argument above this standard you're creating. Go ahead and take a video of you comparing engage distances with an experimental set up using appropriate equipment, with a corresponding game on to show just how far a button had to be depressed to engage an action. Because surprisingly, microcontrollers don't actually have to like... go down the entire way to engage. Unlike y'know, the membrane used for PS3 pads. That would be a naive premise, wouldn't it? Just sayin'. "You have not shown me a thermometer that shows this room is above room temperature. Therefore, this room must be cold."
  9. Not to mention, now with all the air unblockables being added, the fact that we might be able to pulsar A past them might be pretty big. And not that this is legit at all, but apparently Nantoka things "Lambda is strong" lol
  10. I dunno, it'd be pretty crazy if Cavalier took so long that you couldn't even hit a guard crushed.... I'm not the most experienced player, but I'm not sure you're going to get CH 5D more often than a GC (especially with the new defensive bursting rule). Also, IIRC, the new untech time on TK Crescent basically made TK loop easier to do. I don't know about easier to set up, but it's apparently easier to do.
  11. It would intensify guard primer management (which has already been intensified by the change in defensive bursting rules + 0 proration after guard crush + command throws out of guard crush). This would make barrier jump outs riskier because 1) You'll be losing a primer to escape and 2) if you're on your last primer, that's a chunk of your barrier gauge that's going I dunno man, but getting guard broken and danger'd in the air I hear sucks.
  12. They should make barrier blocking air unblockables break a primer. I think that would be the best solution. :kaomoji sumairu:
  13. I dunno man, Mu and Lambda seem to just eat primers for breakfast. At least I know Lambda does for certain, but from what I've seen, Mu's little bombs are really scary, even/especially for Tager. But for sure, green bursts will be the #1 reason why you are guard crushed. I'm fairly sure that's the idea.
  14. Not to mention, only the second hit of 4B is an overhead. And that's terrible.
  15. >Guard Crush >No proration >Defensive burst rounds down Primers >5CxN to 6C proration improved Well guys, I think we're in business.
  16. At the very least, it can't hit low-invulnerability? lol
  17. Clearly the only right way to do this is make 6A homing rocket fists. Then 2C can be like D nails, but more, and from the ground.
  18. I'm probably in the minority in that I actually like using Hakumen as a zoner. Not that I play him much. But sometimes you just need a change of pace. My D button will get worn out otherwise.
  19. Act Pulsar forward! hahahahahahaahaha
  20. It's great that you're totally ignoring my point. Your claim: PS3 pad buttons require less force (ie, shorter engage distance, more responsive). Your evidence: Happ Competition buttons Reason why your evidence is irrelevant: Happ buttons are generally recognized as not being particularly responsive (particularly in contrast to say, Sanwa). My point: You. Built. A. Strawman. Your counterpoint: Everything used to be wood! I have wood! It's so good! Translation: Appeal to tradition, appeal to authority, appeal to emotion.
  21. I'm just not playing I'm 38 and my nostalgia glasses are too foggy to realize Happ's made in China now and really substandard. And here I thought we were talking about pushbuttons not... wood. And y'know, I could use a pad with my whole arm too. It's pretty cool what stupid things you can do when you put your mind to it.
  22. I'm sorry, I forgot that there existed a world when people still used Happ. I guess it can't be helped if your buttons are garbage. It'd be like comparing full sanwa against some old Madcatz Gamecube knock off pad or something.
  23. I wish I heard this like a week ago :< For truth though, I don't think I've ever been able to actually use one of those lol
  24. lol it's like you think you have to touch the gate to engage or don't realize that wrists/arms are actually more responsive than thumbs....
  25. Better yet, j.214D and j.236D should BOTH work :d Alternating tk direction made easy.
