To expand on what C0r said, in CSE you have to 5d 66 2b 6a 2d to pick up a combo from that. Assuming from there you could go j.d lightening arrow b for a simple combo into orb oki. I feel like with these changes they are trying to make you pick between Oki set ups and damage. Which will be welcomed over the current version of amazing damage with amazing Oki. Rachel combos are hard, well hard enough that after 30 minutes I was done lol.

A lot is being changed, but the majority of changes stem from her corner carry abilities and her comboability in the corner. I do not know the full extent of the these changes, but I shall try to break down some of the ones that affect her game quite a bit. 1. dempsey roll no longer combos in the corner. So you can't go 5a 6a 2d after a 214acccccccc in the corner. It will have a longer untech time leading to bigger oki. I personally really like the 3c mix up in the corner. 2. 236a~d no longer wall bounces mid screen (or corner?) this sucks because if you hit with an orb mid screen it was an easy dash 2d full corner combo for big damage. Which was always welcome 3.Lightening arrow no longer bounces. 214-b~d was a staple of makoto's mid screen carry on a lot of combos and added to her corner damage. While it can still add corner damage it will more than likely be an ender and not a mid combo tool. 4.mar chopper no longer combos/ mars chopper is 214aca which allowed for a good mix up to a 2d combo into corner carry or you could combo into it on tager and hakumen. This allowed for good damage and great corner carry anywhere. 5. star gazer now combos. you can combo off of a star gazer which is 214 acb and pick it up with a 2b 2a. into whatever I don't know the specifics of when this will be used and what makes it better then dempsey roll at the moment. 6. D moves has less untech time. You can no longer dash 2c in the corner you have to do dash 2b 6a after a 5d in the corner. I do not know the extent of her combos in the corner, as I have not seen much on her in the loke test. 7. particle flare is no longer invul. Particle flare could be used to bait bursts, but not more. Its done , you will just eat the burst instead of beating it. 8. J.b ch has less untech time, meaning you can't 2c after a j.b counter hit. You can 5b 6a 2d ideally from that, or go for this poverty combo of 5b 6a sjc j.c jb dj j.c j.b 214 c~d 9. Asteriod vision has new movement. Should be fun to see how this works. I want it to barrier cancel though. (a guy can dream) I think that covers the major changes and how it affects Makoto. Overall her gameplan will be the same but her combos are shaping up to be quite different from her cs2 iteration. It would be best to learn her fundamentals and footies now if you want to learn her, and just learn her basic combos or brush up on your execution and learn her harder stuff. Nothing was ever gained from not pushing yourself.

Alright, this tournament ran. I'm not going to say it ran well, but it ran. A big thanks to each event organizer(Willy, James, Magz, Tsubasa and Katana Dash if I missed anyone I am sorry I don't know all the organizers)our Chun for getting everything done. Its stressful but we got it done. First things first. This should not have ran that late. I'm not so much worried about the time but the position we put Myung in. He needed to be closed by 2 a.m (city rule I believe) and we were in there till 2:30-2:45 . That is a very awkward position to put our venue owner in and it shows a big disrespect towards him and his venue that we would do this to him, after he has been more than willing to support our scene and act as a consistent venue for us. We left the place for him to clean up at 2:30 am. I'm sure he was tired as hell and didn't want to deal with that. Also listen to the staff at gamecenter. The female worker there was constantly asking people to clear out of the hallway, door and keep a path clear. Listen to our venues workers. We are guests there, we need to act professional. It was especially bad when people ignored her request and I had to yell at people over the megaphone to get out of the hall way and keep an open path. We are there to have fun but be respectful. Second, we have to stop being nice. This tournament is about being a minor not about guests. You need to plan for a worst case scenario when traveling, since it is unfamiliar everyone should be aiming to be there an hour early, because you can play casuals and socialize. I know you want to be nice Chun, but this shit has to stop if you are going to be a TO. Waiting 3 -3 1/2 hours is just giving the middle finger to everyone who showed up on time. I for one am tired of arriving at the appropriate time and waiting 3 hours to the event to start every time. If people are going to be late they need to call someone, have them sign up and have them pay the appropriate fees. We can run there matches later but they still run the risk of being Dq'd. This is just how shit has to go down. IF they don't have the courtesy to show up on time, fuck them. Until we start enforcing this rule nothing will change. Its been in this cycle for a long time, and nothing is ever done about it. And every time its the same thing, post NCI, "omg we started late", "Yeah we are gonna start on time next time." I hate to bust balls here because you are a nice guy Chun, and I know we are all friends here. But we gotta put friendships asides when running an event. Everyone is equal. Third This one isn't a complaint just what noticed. I feel like NCI is more BB focused than it should be. This is suppose to cover under ground fighting games. I'm in full agreement with Rod on this one. Our other games need more coverage. We have Rin recording matches, so people can see those whenever. I think it would be nice to toss a nod to the other games. Of course this at the discretion of those would run the stream equipment. It is there equipment they can stream what they want.

I made a post in norcal general about getting a caravan going. As long as work doesn't screw me over I should be up there. Scrubbing out.
