  1. The top 8 vids? Could someone please elaborate on this?
  2. Late Shout-Outs Heidern98 - As always, NICE WORK on running the GGAC tournament and cracking a lot of funny jokes. Again, nice work and I hope to see you running GGAC again next year! The FR'11 Staff and other helpers - I sincerely thank you people for making this year's tourney more prompt and organized than last year's tourney. Good job on helping Heidern98 run a successful GGAC tourney with commentary, the stream, and straight seriousness! You all helped make FR'11 a lot better. Thank you and I hope to see you again at FR'12! FlashMetroid - First and foremost, thank you for being one of top GGAC players to support the game by competing and beasting. You and those other nameless individuals can say what you want, but we both hadn't played the game in years and still were able to execute some nice combos and setups in the Winner's and Grand Finals! Good work and thanks for supporting the GGAC tourney. Until the next time.... Frank the Tank - As with FlashMetroid, I thank you for coming to FR'11 and beasting in the GGAC tourney. Lol you almost killed me in one, tension-less combo in our first set off of a CH 5HS. Good job on placing top 3 man! Until the next time... Kyle - It was definitely nice to see you again and I thank you for competing in GGAC as usual. That May of yours was still on point, especially in that entertaining set against Zinac. Lol man we should have played some casuals in Tekken; that Yoshimitsu experience would've helped me out in my set against JustFrameJames. Again, good stuff as usual and thanks for the support. Until the next time... TheSlyMoogle - As with everyone else, it was nice to see you again and reppin' that Anji in GGAC. Our set came down to the last pixel of life, good stuff! Ky-Sama and Sol-Bumguy - It was nice to meet the both of you and watch yall handle business in matches. I know you two get this a lot but it is very rare, yet very pleasing to see beautiful women beast in competitive fighters, ESPECIALLY GGAC! -----------Eta (I hope I spelled it right) - Thanks for supporting GGAC as usual by competing and helping run the tourney. Those were some good casual matches we had and it was a pleasure to meet you. Until the next time... -----------Nina - As with Eta, thanks for your contributions at FR'11. Although we didn't get to game, I saw you handling folk in casuals. Nice meeting you and good stuff. krazykorean456 - Phil you already know man. It's always good to see you and the other Tennesseans at these tourneys. Yall are like my other family. We had a close First Round set to start off the tourney and some really good casuals to warm-up for the tourney. That Millia wasn't slackin' lol. Good stuff as usual and thanks for the support. Until the next time man.... 4gotten_kazama - Again, it was good to see you reppin' in both Tekken 6 and GGAC. That Zappa of yours was gettin' it in I see; you beat AzurePhoenix in a decisive set to stay alive in the tourney. Good stuff in that GGAC man and thanks for the support. See you at the next one... Zinac - As with everyone else, man thanks for competing in the tourney and supporting GGAC. You were one of the few of us that didn't look as rusty with execution. That was an amazing match you and Kyle had against each other in semi's; it was really close and well played with you barely falling short. Nevertheless, it was good seeing that Faust in action again and I'll see you at the next one... Alphakami - It was good to see you again bro; that Ky still gots' it I see. Thanks for all of the support and I'll see you at the next one. Team Espada - Good stuff yall niggahs, especially to myself for winning Final Round 2011 and to General for placing 5th alongside of Zinac. AzurePhoenix and ShinBlade, thanks for supporting via competing as best as you could despite being EXTREMELY RUSTY!!! If GGAC is included at ANY major in the future, then we need to win it!!! To Everyone else - I thank you all for showing up and supporting the Guilty Gear: AC tourney. It was nice to see all of the old faces and meet some of the new players. Hats off to everyone who competed and to those who helped run the tourney! Until next time..... The Final Round 2011 Guilty Gear: Accent Core Champion -Lil Majin-
  3. Thanks man. I wish you were to see it first-hand. It was fun and had some hype to it.
  4. There you have it.......let's go!!!
  5. There you have it.......let's go!!!
  6. Part I: INTRODUCTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Attention Memphis Tekken Players! The Tekken scene here has been at an all-time low whether it be because of ShinBlade beating most of the former players into their households to play FPS/etc, Super Street Fighter 4, failure, or other reasons. Many argue that unlike the Street Fighter 4 scene here, the Tekken 6 scene has no "structure," meaning that there is no guaranteed gathering for the game every week; players usually play at someone's house which only can allow so many players AND is completely dependant on the host, making gatherings for the game unreliable as opposed to Power Play or Hasting's Fight Nights. Thanks to Hasting's and Severin-X, there is now a guaranteed Tekken 6 setup present every Wednesday night from 7pm to 10pm; however, the scene needs more than just that to improve... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part II: PROPOSAL ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nevertheless, I thought of a way to get the Tekken scene back up and running here in Memphis and made a couple of calls to players such as ShinBlade, Bishop, FlyMike, Professor Gene, KOS, ANOTSU, and He's Back -TiLT-; they all highly favored the idea. What is this "idea" that I'm speaking of you ask? It is the idea, originally thought up by Azure Phoenix and Bishop back in 2007 for the Guilty Gear X2: Accent Core scene, which made the number of the game's players here jump from a mere 6 to a whopping 34!!! Not only did this idea increase the number of overall players, but also, the number of great players we possessed. Furthermore, the idea resulted in the Tennessee Thread on Dustloop becoming a hotspot for hype as well as interesting drama. Without further adieu, the idea that I'm proposing to you, the Memphis Tekken players, is the reforming of the late, great GGAC's "Team ESPADA" for TEKKEN 6!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part III: TEAM ESPADA'S AMAZING HISTORY ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For GGAC, Team Espada started off with only 5 members: myself, Big Majin, Bishop, ShinBlade, and Azure Phoenix. Of course those names are of powerful players of the game; however, when the team started, EVERYONE save for my brother and me completely sucked at the game. Nevertheless, the eagerness of others to join the group and gain a rank greatly expanded Memphis' GGAC community. It wasn't long before most of us were able to compete with and defeat top players in the game. For example, Bishop, the best Slayer/Venom player in the country, OCVed FlashMetroid, Marn, and Latiff at SER-2, beat raekw0n187, the best Potemkin player in the country in two tournaments, beat Marn, and even eliminated me out of SER-3 as well. In addition, ShinBlade beat Doren2k (2nd best Jam player in the country) and raekw0n187 consecutively in the same tourney and was branded the title of "RandomBlade" because of his unique and reckless style of play with Sol Badguy. General was able to beat Jan, the 2nd best Potemkin player in the country, most of STL's finest players at S.L.U.T.S, and be the best Testament player in the country himself. Azure Phoenix was able to beat Jamarvelous, an old school top player, at Final Round 2009. As for me, I was the understood best Chipp player in the nation and I beat players such as AKA (best Millia player in the country), raekw0n187 (best Potemkin in U.S.), Zinac and Senkei (two best Faust players in the country), Moroha and Josh Ballard (two best A.B.A. players in the country), Pwnz0r and Klaige (two of the 3 best Anji players in the U.S.), DavidCue (one of the 4 best Eddie players in the country), FrankdaTank and Kyle (two best May players in the country), Jais (best Bridget player in the country), Rudy (best Zappa player in the country), the other Espada members, and many others. As you can see, there was a LOT of success for Team Espada. At first, we were just a group of "trash talking scrubs" but were later recognized and respected as some of the best GGAC players in the country. The same can be done with Tekken 6. Forming the Espada will guarantee an increase in skill and experience with a lot of match-ups! With MLG Dallas being our next big tourney, we need to be fully prepared to BEAST and being active Espada members will guarantee better outcomes in the tourney. Let's do it! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part IV: STRUCTURE/CLOSE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As for the Tekken Espada group, it shall be quite similar to the GGAC's Espada group. We're aiming to have 10 players and have them ranked from numbers 1 to 10. Of course, we will maintain the old FT10 ranking matches if you want to challenge an Espada one rank higher (if you lose, then you can't challenge them for it anymore that day). Since Tekken is at Hasting's every week now, we will try and get Team Espada jump started there. I have to make a trip there and negotiate with the owners to allow a Tekken gathering earlier on Saturdays or Sundays (if they're open Sundays). Espada member numbers will be determined via a round robin which will be scheduled soon! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've already gotten the "okay" from ShinBlade, Gene, Clark, Tommy, and Bishop about Team Espada for Tekken. What do YOU think about it?
  7. You're gonna be in Memphis, right?
  8. Sean (houser of the non-travelers is hosting a tournament TODAY @ 2PM! Address: 2774 Hickory Point Ln #2 Games Featured: Tekken 6, Super Street Fighter 4, & Guilty Gear: Accent Core Entry Fee Per Game: $3 BRING SETUPS!!! *If you have a laptop with tournament running software, then please BRING IT to help out! See ya there!*
  9. yeah I can co-sign with you on that one lol. Terrible....you know who you are.......
  10. lol I guess it's really relevant for the search.
  11. yeah we'll be more than happy to play you. just let us know close to time. IW - dunno really. i'll post it up whenever i find out.
  12. yeah...we just play Tekken now.
  13. Mac - Had to leave before the tourney started....otherwise this Chipp would've ran over everyone....
  14. I was nice seeing a couple of the old heads still playing GGAC and equally nice seeing some of the newer faces. Props to ShinBlanka and Heidern98 for running Final Round and GGAC tourneys. Sucks that I couldn't stay for the singles tournament because of time restraints. Frank - so GGAC had 54 entrants, more than MB and BB?! GOOD! We as the Gear community need to make sure that Sunday tourneys for good games don't happen anymore. Gear needs to start on Friday/Saturday at Final Round or any other major tourney. Flash - good shit on OCVing Team Espada. Lol next time......next time.... TN - Tekken is too strong, but I agree with FlyMike. We do need to pick up Gear again AND start some more tourneys!
  15. NOOOOOO!!! So there won't be a Bridget vs Chipp matchup this time around?! Damn, be easy man!
  16. Since the espadas will be present, you'll definitely lose. Sorry....I'm taking this tourney. But don't worry, no one will take your 9th place spot I promise.
  17. Deangelo wants to go as well.....
  18. http://dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?p=572060#post572060 If you know how to play SF4, then please attend. Original thread is: http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=225602&p=8372725#post8372725 LET'S GO GO GO GO!!!!
  19. Let's go to this!!! Especially you Memphis folk who love sf4!!!
  20. Haha, are you gonna stand alone against the furies of my beastliness?
  21. But BlazBlue is mainly the reason why Guilty Gear has faded into the darkness.
  22. Just because Latiff SMASHED you doesn't mean the same would've happened to me. I was mad that he and raekw0n had to leave because I wanted to beat em both. Lol @ you talking about luck. I still would have placed higher than you even if I would have gotten beat by Latiff...top 10 in fact; thus, you lose..... Hopefully, at least 30 people enter GGAC at FRXIII so that my win can mean something.
  23. I feel good......
  24. Thanks for the props everyone. (Yeah I'm almost a month late) Good shit to Midnight for winning with V-13. Astaroth - it's all good. You got your revenge........this time. Boss - Good shit placing 2nd....you'll win one eventually and FRXIII is the time and place. Tad - No GGAC tourney results? IIRC, the KiT:R'10 Guilty Gear Accent Core Results were: 1st - Lil Majin/Chipp Zanuff (TN) $70 2nd - Boss/Slayer (TN) 3rd - Zinac/Faust (KY)
  25. It don't matter if you've beaten me a billion to zero, I've placed higher than you at both SER-3 and FinalRound you scrub. Good job at winning the Jam vs Chipp matchup and losing to every other one. LOOOOLLLLL!!!!! But I won't entertain you much longer. We're gonna do a $20 FT5 and see who is really better. Looking forward to it...... More or less. There will be plenty of players accompanying me to defend America at FRXIII. Nonetheless, I've always wanted to win a Guilty Gear major too. But yeah, come Final Round I'm going into beast mode...... FlashMetroid......Latiff.....Marn!!!!! WHERE ARE YALL?!!! I wanna beat you in Guilty Gear!!!
