Ragna being Act 3 boss to me simply means he will be standing in the way of every character who has taken Izanami's words to heart and have come to kill True Noel. OR it might be the point where Ragna finally succumbed to the Blazblue and goes all BlackBeast on everyone's ass. Ending in a cliffhanger that will continue on story mode ala Guilty Gear Xrd Sign.

It would be best if you just ask everything in one post. I probably won't be doing much answering since I'm just as lost as you.

Does this mean Ragna is Act 3 Boss? Or at least it's him who seems to appear in the Act 3 Menu.

Well he is smart enough, but then again when would he find the time. Unless there is a big gap in time between Xrd and Revelator. I was thinking maybe it was the person who made him the Junkyard Dog Mk III. At least I think I read somewhere that some resident of the backyard made it, and the sword and bike do have a similar appearance. Either that or Ky had some mechanic in Illyria make it for him. I find this a little hard to believe though.

I thought she was Jack-O at first glance, like a more completed version of what Jack-O is supposed to be. But yeah, it could be that lady. And Wow, Sol has a mother fuckin motorcycle now, he's badass meter just melted.

If you've played CP then you know that Arcade mode is just the tip of the iceberg. Mori stated himself that the story will be 3 times larger in CF than CP was. I doubt he was talking about the Acts. I'm just guessing here but I feel like the end of Act 3 will be around the middle of story mode. And I'm just going by the past Blazblue games and their arcade endings compared to the overall story mode. I don't know what your getting at with Mori giving us answers so I'm not gonna answer that. But I will say an Act 3 Trailer will give us more insight as opposed to that preview. Noel could be a boss, I admitted this, but her standing seems to be that she's crucified inside some machine and that's about it. She seems defenseless, injured, hell almost beaten. Is Amaterasu a weapon that can move like Takemikazuchi? I don't know, nothing has shown me as of yet of that being the case other than its appearance being somewhat humanoid but not really.

Well given that Act 3 is the final piece before story mode reveals everything, I'm not surprised that they didn't make the Act 3 boss known in that short preview. It was like a little teaser to tie you over. We should wait for the legit Act 3 trailer before we assume there is no new Act 3 boss. Look at it like this, True Noel seems to be the victim here not the antagonist. So I think for right now we can at least say she may not play that role. At least maybe a possibility. I ain't gonna get into any Alpha nonsense since that shit is frowned upon here, so if you don't want @Chaoschao222 to lock this thread don't bring Alpha up.

That would be anti climactic and a really bad move. I'm not saying it ain't possible, but Mori would be shooting himself in the foot if he went with that. Everyone is pretty much just waiting to see who the 3rd new boss character is gonna be. We can write off Izanami as being the end game since she already got beaten by all in Act 2. Sure she ain't dead, but clearly enough characters have surpassed her in their endings.

Just gonna speculate here but I'm assuming Rachel going kind of crazy with the lighting against Naoto is in due in part of his presence causing Ragna existence to weaken. When they meet for the first time and Naoto introduces herself Rachel was freaking out. Something about claiming the existence. She didn't hesitate to get rid of him. "Releasing the possibility from the world" So looks like Ragna plans to save True Noel and release her from the iron grips of Amaterasu? Either that or their talking about something to do with him. The white background in Ragna's picture reminds me of the place inside Takamagahara. I've always wondered if they were ever gonna bring that shit up again. I mean I know it's already gone and the pic is probably inside Amaterasu, but Takamagahara used to be a big thing in the game.

I'm a little confused as to why Ragna is not an entitled. Even Naoto who is similar to him is an entitled now apparently, yet he still isn't. If I understand it correctly Amaterasu is the one who decides who is entitled or not, so does she not give a damn about Ragna? That's kind of messed up since he has done a lot of stuff story wise to move the world in a more desired direction, while Terumi, Hazama, Nine, etc are actually trying to destroy Amaterasu, yet she acknowledges them as entitled? Like what the hell. I mean it would stand to reason that he deserves to be an entitled as much as anyone else. Even far above Noel Vermillion.

I'm reminded when Izanami said to Ragna at the end of CP that he couldn't "save her". At the time I thought she was talking about Saya. Now I'm somewhat convinced it was actually True Noel who she was referring too. And Rachel's story about the girl in the book, I always felt she was talking about Nu-13 since a lot of it made sense for her being said girl. Again now it's more apparent it was True Noel. So yeah I learned a lot in Act 2. Or at least a lot of what I thought has been flipped around.

Well he had made up his mind in CP that he was going to kill Izanami. I don't think it was out of character to back up his words. Ragna probably saw Izanami for what she was and didn't see his sister in her anymore. But he really cares for Noel so he is better at sympathizing with the plight of the Murakumo units. Let's not forget he was trying to save Nu in CP, you know the crazy yandere who wants to kill him, unless phenomenon intervention were to happen, I'm sure he has a cooler head about things now since he has been through so much. Then we also have Celica and however many times he risked his life to save her. Not to mention how pissed he got with Kokonoe when he found out she was just using Celica until she died. He was not about to let her sacrifice her life and use that nail thing in phase 0. This Noel sort of reminds me of being in that situation as well. I don't think he needs his memories, his feeling are already there. Of course that's just my take.

I feel out of all the people who Izanami has thrown at to kill Noel, Ragna will probably be one of the few who will deny that and more than likely fight to protect her. Besides being the protagonist, he did save Noel(Mu) when everyone said she needed to be killed, I've no doubt he will do the same with this girl.

I see, it would of been nice to see what kind of dream turned nightmare Ragna would of had. @Zedar90 I know I might be asking a bit too much, but if all possible could you tell me a little more of what Ragna and Rachel's conversation was about in Ragna's Act 2?

Just curious, I know that Ragna isn't an entitled but was he offered a piece of the Azure like everyone else?

It would be cool if he did, but I'm assuming Azreal meant Ragna's awakening into the Black Beast who's power is god like.

I'm wondering if there was ever a real Saya to begin with, if Izanami (Saya) is just a drive manifest, then does that mean that the Saya that Ragna and Jin grew up with was also just some drive?
