Nope nope, tried it in training modo. Which means that I suck at IBing this shit. :/ But yeah, IBing online is hell, which is why I almost don't play Tager anymore... (sucks living in city where no one plays BB...). I'm really not bad at IBing online with a good connection room ( practiced for a long time IBing all the blockstring. Works really well, but hell, can't IB consistenly the 5CC of the Squirel :/ More infos about my previous post? :o

The Buppa/ Yumura in the latest Jourdal vid makes me sad. Please fix this. :/

Worked a bit on the match up this morning and praticed IBing. Only move that seems worth ibing in her blockstrings is the second 5CC, but, don't know if I suck totally but I find it incredibly hard to IB. I have like 5/10 success in it. Is there a trick or something? :o I trained it because between 5CC and 6B we can land a 360A with IB, and a 720 without IB. Don't know if it's usefull against a good Makoto tho. BTW Axis, what did you mean with "IB her 5B so she loses stagger opportunities"? Edit: and you say "360A the shit out of her 2C", but hell, I can't see it coming. Well, I'm playing online, but still... Need more practice in this match up, hard to find a good Makoto online... But "Do not get cornered! You will suffer a painful loss if you do", hell yeah.

Working on the news combos seen in the latest combo vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfhI49XCZ8E), one thing bothers me. In the combo at 00.40 for example, when he is using the two 236 A Beast Cannon and the two 236B, after Moondlicht I can't see him doing a 2D in order to do the first 236A beast cannon from the ground. But when I'm trying to simply do Moondlicht D 236A, the opponent can tech after the first three best cannon. :/ Am I blind or something? Or just missing something?

Ok so these are for the most part just normal combos of a 6B fatal, finishing with wolf C double falling B instead of C D jB, jc B, J C. Thanks! Yeah the loop was stylish, easy as hell and more damaging. :p
-
I don't see a 6B fatal combo from midscreen in the combo list, anyone has figured one out?
-
Thanks a lot! I'll try that this evening! Concerning the tutorial video, I think that only the move section is worth explaining (starting at 8.20). The rest is easily understandable to my opinion.

At first when CS 2 came out, I had really hard time doing something good with the new VK: the changes to the wolf dash, the new combos, etc... He became (to my opinion ofc) a really hard character to play with, requiering a lot of technical skill. But, comparing to CS1 where he was obviously totally broken ( his damage output was really insane with totally noskill combos), he now really is a rewarding character. Hard to play, requiring a lot of execution skill, but damn, I having so much fun playing with him. :< So, I watch the japanese VK Tutorial on YT, and one thing bothers me. In this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kALO1HQalAY&feature=feedu) at 8.55, he does the multiple [w] 5a after a 5C. At9.00 it shows the notation: 3c, CA, 3C, CA etc. CA means pressing C and A at the same time right? Been trying this yesterday, and damn, it requires fast execution, only been able to do it twice. :/ Maybe am I doing something wrong? The move at 8.48 is also bothering me. Can't really figure out what he is doing, and I don't read japanese. Well, I'd really like a good translation of all the move section of this tutorial video, it would be amazing, and I don't thing that these options have been written into this thread: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?10249-Valkenhayn-Movement.

So I've been playing CS2 for a week now and I have to say that I always like playing Tager BUT a lot of changes/nerfs troubles me. The first thing is the 6A not JC anymore. I really used it a lot since CT and I have to say that it was really disturbing during the first hours. The other thing, much more troublesome is the change to magnetism, specially the 5D. I mean, I almost never use it anymore. The pull is awfull now, I get countered everytime. Plus, re-magnetising someone is really hard now (btw, has the magnetism time been lowered?). Finally, the biggest nerf that makes me REALLY angry is the IB nerf. Since CS2 is out, I have never heard the word "counter" that much, it's driving me nuts. I can't get used to it. I always try Ib+ 360, IB+ throw, IB 5A, all of this results to "COUNTA". Now it's like every character turned to CS1 Bang or Litchi and all we can do is block and wait. Every character turns into a rushdown character against Tager now, no one respects him anymore. :/ And I have to say that this point specially make Tager really frustating to play in CS2, because the lack of defensive option. Despite all since, as I said, I'm still having a lot of fun playing him, the damage boos of his BNB are enjoyable (5A, 5B,3C, 2B, 2C AC is doing a lot more damage am I right? :<).

Don't know what to do against her. She can abuse her SRK, sledge doesn't break it anymore, i can n't press her as she can make her dragon totally safe. With the IB nerf I can't do anything when I'm under pressure. And is her shield bash safe now? u_u And her 5B doesn't allow us to jump out... Horrible... edit: and she is full install in no time...
-
Is it just me or Valk seems a bit less punchy? Don't know if it's just my imagination or what, but, hum, his transformation is slower. Don't know, he seems slower overall.
-
Ok I'll try that. Trained to IB the move before the 6B, works well (at least in training, online... well...) Noticed that I can mash 720 before the 6b in blockstring, don't even need IB to do the 720, pretty ugly, but, hell, it works. I just have issues reacting to her AV... need more reflexes, or maybe stop online mode. :p Thanks for advices.
-
Yeah, Axis we're not asking for zoning tools or good pokes against her, well we already know them, but we just wanna know how to deal with her insane pressure.
-
Having a really hard time against good Makoto pressure. Everyone says " there are lots of gaps lolol" but hell, I can't find some... I don't know what to IB, tried to ib a lot of stuff but can't counter his pressure, once she's in, well, I just have to prey... I can't stand this character and I think that in CS 2 I will be horrible...
-
Did I complain about his buffs? I just reacted to the fact that, I quote" Tager is overpowered, guard break>720 lolol" All I say is that if this is effectively overpowered, it suxx. I don't want to rely only on that. But if that's the case, of course I'm gonna use it. But on the paper, I don't really like it. We'll see when it will be released on PS3.
-
I play Tager as my main since CT, but if this is his new gameplay plan, it sucks ass... I loved all his troll gimmick and stuffs, that's why I'm maining him, not for a such brainless schema.
-
Thanks Nini Heart for the explanation. I think you understood my problems better than Osuna and Evilben, sorry guys! The overhead I talked about was the C AV follow ups yeah.
-
Hum ok. I play CT since it's out, and CS too, and I didn't know this... Well it's hard to figure out thou, as Bang is in a crouching state... My bad....u_u You can notice I didn't work on Bang's match up since the beginning... Thanks for advice.
-
Fought a good Bang today (well I don't know if he was really good, Bang is such a skilless character to play with, or if he was just spamming D, I'll come back to that later), and got totally destroyed (well first time I played a good Bang with my VK). I was always under pressure, and I couldn't put pressure on him, he was like spamming 2D everywhere, drove me crasy. I could do shit against it. Couldn't put holes in my pressing, 2D fucked up everyone of my moves. It was really insane. After a 236A, I could only wait, because if I transformed =2D, if I wait a bit for 2a= 2D, if got direct to 2a, again I eat 2D. And 236 A follow ups are just exemples, 2D destroyed all my approaches and pressures. I was totally like: wtf's just happening. You're saying that in this match up our pressure game is our best tool against Bang, but hell, I couldn't even apply a pressure game, 2D all over the place. It was like playing SF4 online against a SRK furious, total nonsense.
-
Well maybe, I don't play him at all, I just noticed that j.D pisses me off. :p I prefered the CT j.D. (and the CT Haku :D) @Axis: yeah, i'll be hype. But he will still have issues dealing with big rushdown characters and zoners...He doesn't have new tools to deal with it.
-
"so you're saying you can land hakus counters, consistently, wih no issues at all? no mistimes? always guessing or reacting correctly?" Meaning you want godlike counters? Be serious.... No characters has such a move, but I think that right now, Haku's counters, specially j.D is really strong enough.
-
J.D is a joke right now.
-
I really love enveryone complaining about the nerfs of their characters. "Damn Makoto gets nerfed, damn Haku has some nerfs, dam Carl got nerfs". Damn, what should we say we Tager players? Tager was shitty in CT and in CS, he was never good, and he won't be in CS2. Haku was a pain in the ass in CS (when I read that his counters were hard to use in CS, I lol hard), Carl was really strong in both versions and Makoto, well, her damage was over the top. Enjoy playing shitty characters, you'll feel like a Tager player. :p I even don't care anymore how shitty Tager will be, I love playing him, fuck the rest.
-
Arakune - curse combo still does 8000+ damage Please tell me it's not gonna stay in the final version.... About the Tager changes, well... Nothing more to say... I'll hang myself up to a tree. About Valk, well he needed a damage nerf, but not that big... Nice nerf to Lambda'SRK, as if the character wasn't shitty enough, they gave her an invincible SRK. Hope this change will stay in the final version.

The dash loop? Can you please explain? Never heard of it!
