  1. I never played GBA. It has 4 buttons. weak attack strong attack weapon boost The first two are self explanitory. "Weapon" is different for every character and MAY able to be changed. I read you can do this, but i havent figured out how to do it yet. Boost lets you dash and go into flight mode when used in the air. The length of flight varies for each character. You can use it to make faux double jumps, jump-ins, and cross ups in certain cases. Also, if you hold both attack buttons down, you gain metter. You can use the meter for supers or to burst.
  2. So this game came to PSN not too long ago (under the Japanese PS one classics section). It came out back in the days of old, but never made it stateside. I tried it out with some friends and was pretty shocked at how fun and fast paced it was. I'm surprised this game never made it outside of japan. It's well polished, and has almost as much content as most capcom games of that era. It has a better storymode than MvC3 and better gameplay/less glitches than SFxT. Plus you unlock characters rather than buy them. If this isn't enough reason for this great game to have its own section then you havent played it yet. There are so many ways to play each character due to the flying abilities/tactics. There are moves that arent in the movelist that we've been figuring out, great setups with certain characters, and all around fun and competitive gameplay (as long as you exclude some of the unlockable characters). Even so, the roster seems balanced because: even if you think a character sucks, the computer will school you with that exact character, and teach you a few tricks along the way. THIS IS! SAMURAI SHOWDOWN WITH ROBOTS! THIS IS! STREETFIGHTER WITH JETPACKS! THIS IS! A GAME WITH BABES, STUDS, THREE HEADED GODS, AND CAVE PEOPLE! YOU WANT BURSTS!? this games got them. YOU WANT FULL FLIGHT MODE!? every character has it. WANNA TEAR YOUR OPPONENTS ARMS OFF!? THEN DO IT! Cyberbots Revolution 2012!: LET'S GO TO EVO CAMPAIGN! EPISODE 1! *_*!!!! Pro's: -Cheap price -12 characters + 5 unlockable characters -Customizable character movesets (havent figured out how to do this yet) -Fun/Intense combat system -Probably the first game to have bursts (unless a game before GG had them) -Menu's in English -Jin Satome (MvC2) is in the game -Giant Robo-Akuma with huge streetfighter feet Con's: -Everything else is in japanese -The storyline seems cool but i can't understand it. -Can't figure out anything the manual says, but there seems to be more complex attacks. -No online modes -No training mode -long loading times WARNING: this game is made by capcom and i strongly discourage giving them money, but this game is well worth the price. Plus it was made during the good old days when games where completed before sold. Join the CB Revolution or be left in the dust. Can you do any less !? Use it in conjunction with the direction pad to execute dashes and flight. Pressing an A button while dashing will make the VA launch a dash attack. Beware, you can't use this move if the Boost Gauge (below the Life Gauge, at the left for 1P and right for 2P) overheats. WEAPON-This button serves as the trigger for using the VA's weapon such as self-propelled bits. Just like Boost, you can't use your weapon move if the Weapon Gauge (above the Life Gauge, at the left for 1P and right for 2P) overheats. ARM RIPPER- F,FD,D+A When close to you opponent your VA will try to rip an arm off the opponent. BOOST EVASION- When your VA is sent flying by an enemy attack, pressing the B button at a certain point before impact will allow your VA to make an evasive maneuver to avoid going down and taking a follow-up hit. POWER CHARGE- Your VA will charge energy every time it attacks or whenever you press A1+A2 buttons at the same time. When the Energy Gauge (at the bottom left of the screen for 1P and bottom right for 2P) is fully charged, the VA's body glows and its attacking power is increased. Also, when the Energy gauge is fully charged, you can launch a Cyber EX super power move D,DF,F,D,DF,F+A or Giga Crash (press A1 and A2 buttons simultaneously), an emergency evasion move. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [[MOVELIST]] ---------- --BLODIA-- ---------- 1) BX-02 BLODIA Leg Type: Walker Arm Type: Power Fist Weapon Type: BIT Special Tecniques: Gatling Rod: 214 + ax Full Metal Charge: 623 + ax Break Shaft: 41236 + ax Direct Press: 632 + a2 (when close) Planet Smasher (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax 2) BX-045 SWORDSMAN Leg Type: Thread Arm Type: Sword Weapon Type: Trap Launcher Special Tecniques: Slay Word: 63214 + ax Photon Splash: 4124 + ax (in mid-air) G Splasher: 236 + ax Crescent Tornado (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax 3) BX-075 RIOT Leg Type: Hover Arm Type: Ultra Fist Weapon Type: Pulse Laser Cannon Special Tecniques: Dyna Blow: 236 + ax (in mid-air also) Death Bolt: 214 + ax Riot Strike: 6236 + ax (in mid-air) Shining Arm: 4214 + ax (when close) Gravition Field: (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax ---------- --REPTOS-- ---------- 1) RF-004 REPTOS Leg Type: Walker Arm Type: Power Fist Weapon Type: Laser Cannon Special Tecniques: Violence Wind: 41236 + ax Satellite Force: 214 + ax Risky Nail: 6236 + ax Fatality Dunk: 22 + ax (when close) Thunder Shaking (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax 2) RF-027 JACKAL Leg Type: Arachnoid Arm Type: Whiphlash Weapon Type: BIT Special Tecniques: Dizzy Boomerang: 214 + ax (in mid air) Heat Grapple: 236 + ax Jackal Stamp: charge 2,8 + ax Laser Screen: 236 + w (air target) Laser Screen: 632 + w (ground target) Assault Bits (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax 3) RF-009 LIGHTNING Leg Type: Thread Arm Type: Electric Claw Weapon Type: Missile Launcher Special Tecniques: Sparkle Laser: 236 + ax Rolling Gear: charge 2,8 + ax (in mid-air only) Thunder Rain: 22 + ax Thunder Shaking (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax --------- --FORDY-- --------- 1) F Z100 FORDY Leg Type: Walker Arm Type: Power Fist Weapon Type: Large Missile Launcher Special Tecniques: Iron Nail: 236 + ax Sunrise Blade: 6236 + ax Spiral Anchor: charge 4,6 + ax Nebulous Dream (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax 2) F Z202 TARANTULA Leg Type: Arachnoid Arm Type: Giant Claw Weapon Type: Missile Launcher Special Tecniques: Rising Grenade Advancing: 6236 + ax Rising Grenade Retreating: 4214 + ax Tarantula Stamp: charge 2,8 + ax Powered Wrecker On Ground: 236 + ax Powered Wrecker Mid-Air: 632 + ax Powered Wrecker Missile: 214 + ax Falling Destroy (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax 3) FZ900J KILLER BEE Leg Type: Hover Arm Type: Sword Weapon Type: Mine Launcher Special Tecniques: Killer Screw Alpha: 236 + ax (or both attack buttons) Killer Screw Beta: 6236 + ax Killer Sword: 63214 + ax Killer Eye: 4,6 + ax Delta Blast (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax ---------- --GULDIN-- ---------- 1)GP-N1 GULDIN Leg Type: Walker Arm Type: Power Fist Weapon Type: Flamer Special Tecniques: Gul Lariat: 236 + ax Sky Gul Lariat: 236 + ax Gul Wheel: 6236 + ax Gul Burning (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax 2)GP-V4 VISE Leg Type: Thread Arm Type: Giant Claw Weapon Type: Large Missile Launcher Special Tecniques: E-Pressure: 214 + ax Capture Device Apha: 236 + ax E-Typhoon: 214 + ax (only after a successful Capture Device) Body Scrap: 6236 + ax (close) G-Typhoon (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax 3)GP-D2 CYCLONE Leg Type: Arachnoid Arm Type: Drill Weapon Type: Mine Launcher Special Tecniques: Drill Cannon: 236 + ax Hyper DD: 646 + ax (hit fast the attack button) Cyclone Stamp: charge 2,8 + ax D3 Bomb: 214+ w (close) D3 Bomb: 236 + w (far) Final DD (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax ----------------- --S-008 SUPER-8-- ----------------- Leg Type: none Arm Type: none Weapon Type: Small Missile Launcher Special Tecniques: Red Omega: 41236 + ax Hell Delta 1: 41236 + w Hell Delta 2: 236 + w Hell Delta 3: 6236 + w Devil X: 2,8 + a1 Final O: 2,8 + a2 Super Gamma: 2,8 + w Octopus Jr.: 6236 +ax Deathsaturn Sigma (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax The Super-8 is an octopus-like VA specialized in long-range attacks; I'm not sure about this, but its main pilot is a baby princess (or something similar) called Devilot (I remember that this character was also in Super Puzzle Fighter 2). The best way to defeat the Super-8 is to charge the power meter and then close with the VA when it jumps to release mines and hammer it with fast punches. If your VA is equipped with a Large Missile Launcher, you can try to continually fire the missiles, but it is not good as closing with the octopus. It is a special VA, with arms and legs represented by the eight tentacles; the weapon is a small missile launcher which fires 4 missiles. (v 2.0 addition: in Armored Warriors/Powered Gear is the second boss, and it is a lot easier to defeat) ----------------- --P-10033 GAITS-- ----------------- Leg Type: Walker Arm Type: Power Fist Weapon Type: Very large Missile Launcher Special Tecniques: Ikkitousen: 236 + ax (in mid-air) Mondoumuyou: 6236 + ax Shogyoumujyou 1: charge 4,6 + ax Shogyoumujyou 1: charge 4,6 4 + ax Ichimoudajin: 214 + ax (when close) Kuuzenzetsugo (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax Small, but fast and with powerful attacks. The Gaits fires 4 salvos of four missiles each in a striaght trajectory toward the top of the stage as weapon. Ideal for anti-air tactics. The best way to deal with this VA is to close range quickly and deliver few, strong moves. Though when controlled by the CPS-2 the Gaits may be a little easy to defeat, a skilled player should be able to turn this VA into a real killer machine. (v 2.0 addition: well, maybe not, as it is the easiest of the four "bosses" to defeat. BTW, it's the basic enemy in Armored Warriors/Powered Gear...) ----------------- --UVA-02 HELION-- ----------------- Leg Type: Walker Arm Type: Power Fist Weapon Type: none Special Tecniques: Flugel Bogen: 63214 + ax Gott Kugel: 236 + ax Himmel Fangel: 214 + ax Schlachtfeld Kaval (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax A VA capable of switching between VA and helicopter mode. Good at any range, with a predilection of close-range. Very fast and with normal and special moves, though most are ranged. The light attack is a sword-like attack while the strong is a large laser cannon. The Helion has no weapon but you cannot rip off its arms. The best way to attack the Helion is to use a good mix of close and long range tactics and use an hit-and-run style tactic. --------------- --X-0 WARLOCK-- --------------- Leg Type: Walker Arm Type: Power Fist Weapon Type: Vulcan Cannon Special Tecniques: Sacred Stare: 236 + ax Ascension Black: 236 + w Sacred Stare Grab: 6236 + ax Energy Drain: full 360° + ax Forbidden Force: charge 4,6, ax (in mid air) ***Imitation Alpha: 44 a2 66, a2 ***Imitation Beta: 6, a1, a2, a1, 4 Final Sacrifice (Cyber Ex): 236236 + ax Possibly the best VA in the game. With an X-0 you should be able to destroy Guldin-type VAs only with your Vulcan Cannon: this weapon fires two salvos of five projectiles each and recharges very quickly. The a1 button is used to swing arms while the second to use legs. The tactic to destroy an X-0 is the same used with the Super-8: close quickly and use fast attacks. You can try to engage at long range as this VA is not as powerful as the Super-8 at these ranges; be always careful, however. The Movelist info was taken from Gamefaqs. *** me and my friend tried both these moves and they don't seem to be legit. 3. Photshop ...or maybe one of those corset looking things that you can tighten and squeeze the fat in.
  4. Looking at the cast...This would've been awesome in the late 80s- early 90's. I played the first demo. I'm hoping the improvements made are BIG because the gameplay was painful. If the game play is good i'd gladly get this just for the nostalgia-ish feel of it. X-files, Swamp thing, early 90's "mutants are awesome" ideology. It's perfect. It's a video game that's trying to be just that.... a video game. It's not trying to be an epic movie, or an anime, or anything for that matter. It's just a videogame. Also im almost positive Plasma, Crystal, and Squalo are the same person. Same goes for Aracno and Nova.... and Protein X and Toxic....
  5. There are a TON of things you can do that "mask" what moves you're about to do making it harder for the opponent to react to your moves. Try adding three Thundergod Drums at Maxium Size in random directions and see what i mean. Also, CaS characters have different stats depending on height and aren't as balanced as the "stock" cast.
  6. Its official, facepaint is not tourney legal. Sorry bozo :/
  7. Ico or the Wanderer would be awesome. The characters from Folklore or MediEvil would be cool as well. They COULD use Legend of Dragoon characters as well. The rest of the games(that weren't already mentioned) have "meh" characters as far as FG's are concerned.
  8. Dunno why they keep pushing "modern" items but i'm liking everything else. A pirate with a kitten on his shoulder, it'll be years before another character THAT bad ass comes along. Also Lizardman.
  9. I like the7K edits better, especially the Aisha Clan Clan one. I'd buy the shit out of that one.
  10. Thanks, i used the full-sized version of it to make a wallpaper for my desktop. It looks pretty damn nice. If anyone's interested, i'll upload the file and post a link to it.
  11. Alright, I'm pretty sure im done... This is only 15% of the actual size of the pic. But i'm sure it's big enough to let you guys see some of the details. You can't see the stray hairs, the muscle tissue and the fibers in the gloves, but that's not too important. http://i.imgur.com/hwojh.png Edited it. Made a few small improvements Just made a Tumblr today...So Shameless self-promotion tiiime! http://filfilipovic.tumblr.com/
  12. Here's some Ms. Fortune Fan art im working on. Just in case they accept fan art into the gallery . It's nowhere near done yet. But its a start. Its my first time working in 720 dpi, and when you uoload it to the web all the detail is lost anyway. Kinda wish i knew that like 3 hours ago.... Also there's going to be a trail of blood coming out of the arm that's farther away, mimicking the swoosh of the tail. Its a composition thing. ^_^ Im not looking forward to drawing the background....at all. I main Ms. Fotune, and i like her design the best so she was the natural choice for the first pic. I think im gonna draw Cerebella next, even though im not a fan of grapplers.
  13. "Winning without .::*♥style♥*::. is just as bad as losing." - Tom Selleck He probably never said that....
  14. Did anyone even test this game? (i mean aside from the idiots that bought it, and don't even say "i'm not an idiot!". You bought a capcom fighting game when it first came out! What did you think was gonna happen? You thought you were gonna be PLEASANTLY surprised? really bro, really?) Also this: http://shoryuken.com/2012/03/16/seth-killian-promises-news-from-capcom-regarding-street-fighter-x-tekkens-dlc-and-future-patches/ $65 for the game including tax. $13 for tekken swaps. $13 for SF swaps. $13 for alt Tekken costumes. (assumed price) $13 for alt SF costumes. (assumed price) $20 for 12 "new" characters. So total comes to $137 to unlock your disc fully, plus glitches and infinites that they'll get to after they unleash their brilliant DLC (unless the glitches are "impossible to fix" until the super silly arcade editition) . Sorry for trolling but this game is just too ridiculous. :8/: Now if you'll excuse me, i'll be playing Streetfighter: the movie : the game.
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j35zckhRwXQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Cz3a1ncx9PI Sure let's talk about gameplay. :8/:
  16. I can't...but then again, i'm not a programmer. They on the other hand ARE programmers. They went to school for it, get paid well, and should be expected to do their job. Imagine if a mechanic screwed up on your breaks, then when you comeback to complain he says "Why don't you show me how it's done". Blazblue and Soul Calibur have solid netcode. Capcom could've easily outsource for the netcode, they have the cash. Also pseudo-news: http://shoryuken.com/2012/03/08/street-fighter-x-tekken-complete-costume-gallery/ Some of them are kinda cool.
  17. More bad news eh? Kinda scared to see how they'll screw up Darkstalkers 4. Capcom's become like a retarded child, breaking everything in it's path and offer up weak excuses.
  18. Can anyone explain this to me? Are they charging for combos now too? I don't have the game so i don't know what a "Quick Combo" is. http://www.hadoken.net/?p=4790 Also some crap about gems: http://www.hadoken.net/?p=4787
  19. A repeat of the reason fuckin-what!? The last era of fighting games didn't rely on Onlineplay or DLC. You played with your friends or at arcades, and you unlocked characters by meeting certain conditions, not spending more money. Try rewriting that in a way that makes sense. Thanks and... YOU my friend are.... a contradiction!
  20. Guys why are we still talking about this? Guilty Gear Accent Core + and Darkstalkers 3 are coming to PSN, Skullgirls is coming out soon, Soul Calibur 5, BBCS:EX, and there's a fighting game with Ponies in the works. Do we really need to waste more time talking about this train wreck. I mean come on, it doesn't take psychic powers() to have foreseen that this was gonna happen. Capcom does this to their fans EVERY fuckin time. Honestly, how can you be surprised at this point. If you ARE going to buy this game, WAIT. Wait until its dirt cheap in the Used Bins, then if you like it, buy the DLC and you'll end up getting the full game for a reasonable price. Until then play another fighting game! Theres a ton of great ones out there, and plenty more on there way! SFxT: $60 + tax for part of the game. At least $10 for all the alternate costume that are on disc. At least $24 dollars for characters that are on disc (delievery time 6 months). Total cost: at least of $94 + tax. Gems sold separately. Aquapazza: $84 to import from an island half a world away. And you can play all the characters without having to rebuy them!?
  21. They are . You take the time to create one model, skin it, then animate it. With sprites you have to redraw the character for every frame of movement for every move. And usually they use 3D models in the early stages to see how they move, then draw based on that. At least that's how Arc did it for BlazBlue.
  22. Also it seems Elo, of of the developer's that left, is back on board. For those of you who missed the stream: - Pinkie Pie is a strange Rushdown/Charge hybrid, has teleports, and her Super's similar to Noel's Bulletstorm (ammunition has been replaced by Cupcakes and a Pie). - Rarity is a Zoner who seems to play like a slower but trickier Nu. It seems like you can delay some of the gems that she shoots out. Very low health in the game as of now, which was to be expected. Her Super's similar to Nu's Legacy Edge, but comes from the ground at an angle. - Apple Jack looks about the same. Has a new Lasso move which does Midscreen and Anti-air grapples and set ups. - Twilight Sparkle looks about the same as the last video, if you let her read you're pretty fucked. - Fluttershy broke the stream. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJC06XGN8Ro
  23. As a Natsu Player, i gotta say she is a fuckin monster. Siegfried isn't as bad as you think, he's just much harder to use. Just Guard has very tight timing, Tap and release Guard just BEFORE(not as) the attack makes contact. Hope that helps.
  24. Seeing as how the gameplay, graphics, and netcode were well executed, and the storyline was much more satisfying than SC4's 7 second arcade endings, I don't think the game was rushed. Since Namco wanted to scrap the SC series after 4, i'm guessing that Project Soul simply didn't have the budget to create and balance 2 unique fighting styles to replace the mimics. They advertised the game as having over 2 dozen characters. It has 25 unique fighting styles. So they delivered what they promised, and threw in a few mimics. They said an in-depth storyline. Aside from SC3, this has the deepest storyline. Delivered. They said the most advanced CaS. Done. They said the game was more balanced. Again, yes. Improved combat system, while that's debatable, i gotta say "fuck yes" to that. It's faster, and more exciting, and not a blockfest. So yeah.... they did everything they said they would, and they did it well. Also the netcode is really really good. So PSOInvictus, i dunno if Project Soul promised you a blowjob or whatever, but as far as what they promised to the general public, they did their job. Now go back to Greenbow Ala-BAMA!
  25. Derpy is Boss. She can level buildings with her mighty ass.
