As a followon to that question, Whats the maximum frame advantage you get from Garudyne if you are perfectly below them? I ask because I never am able to get my opponent to respect me after garudyne, and I sometimes lose whatever followup pressure I try to do. Nowadays I just try to end pretty far away from them and just start from a completely neutral approach.
-
Yeah I dunno what to think. I want to say that the single elim format is unfair for Yosuke who relies on exploiting other player's habits rather than converting a random confirm into 50% damage, but I also can't say that a double elim would change the outcome. Not to mention every other character ALSO exploits the other player's habits for much more damage.
-
I see. I guess it doesn't really bother me. It just always seem strange that like vids from bigger deal tournaments like arc revo qualifiers weren't higher quality.
-
This isn't particularly a yosuke question, but why hasn't japan invented HD streaming yet?
-
In what situation exactly? That is to say, should that work in every situation where you delay tech a meaty tomoe? what are you trying to dodge by delaying your tech?
-
Okay so I am just coming back from a long absence. Is the counter to the Chie 5DD oki just never tech? Can she like otg or something if she anticipates you not teching? It seems too good to be true the few times I delay teched and got out of the pressure.

I would have gone to FR but I didn't know what my exams were going to be like, and I've been studying for the past month anyway so I'd have just done moonsault shenanigans and went 0-2(or get to top 8). I've been seriously considering heading out to UFGT9. It'll be after school has ended and I figure at the very least I have a chance at divekick and the mystery tournament. I'll be stream monstering for sure though.

[P4A] Yosuke Critique and Self-Improvement Thread
NagorbMan replied to Chazmobile's topic in Archive
I'm going to show my lack of knowledge of fighting game concepts, but isn't the nature of a frame trap that it is vulnerable to dps? If you give the opponent a 2 frame window to do a move, everything will be a counterhit except a dp, right? -
Cuz he goes fast and aggravates Kanji players?
-
Is there a better sukukaja combo than the modified autocombo that doesn't have that crazy dash cancel that is impossible to time online? Even when I hit the followup to the dash it doesn't seem to do much more damage than just doing the autocombo that guaranteed. EDIT: I mean starting from 5a.
-
Tentarafoo in the corner also has the added bonus of being unfuckably plus. An immediate 2C afterwords is so meaty they can't even mash DP. As such, doing 2A or 5B is a 100% safe way of put them back into pressure and hitconfirming into the corner combo, on top of them being confused. You'd know this if you weren't such a r u havin a giggle m8? I didn't know you were quizzing us. I thought you were just very rudely asking for ideas. That being said, I never really tried experimenting much farther away from the standard FC 2C combo so only 6.1k. I'd be curious to know how you got to 9.1k. The 5AA conversion is pretty cool. For the tentarafoo corner oki, do you mean as a combo ender from a fatal counter corner AoA? I wouldn't mind seeing a video of what you meant.
-
I am also curious. j.2C as a combo ender seems like it should be plausible.... right? Also I am a yosuke player that decided I want to have friends. EDIT: On second thought no it doesn't seem plausible at all.

PSN Ranbats #1 - October 13, 2012 (COMPLETED)
NagorbMan replied to MikelAL93's topic in P4A Online Play
I said this in my original post, but because I see my name on the entrants list I'll reiterate. I have plans on the 6th so I can't attend this particular day of the ranbat. I would like to support #2 and beyond either as a player or providing the stream. -
PSN Ranbats #1 - October 13, 2012 (COMPLETED)
NagorbMan replied to MikelAL93's topic in P4A Online Play
I would like to offer my stream for this. I am going to be out of town on the 6th, which is kind of a bummer, but I'll be able to support any future ranbats. I don't plan to enter in this one, just to keep my connection stable for everyone else but here's my info anyway. Thats a shame. Well, I guess 3s will have to do. The game definitely has its bullshit, but it seems manageable.
-
So I've been playing 3s on ggpo for the last couple days. Its pretty fun... but it'd be even more fun if the game I was playing wasn't 3s. Perhaps something more... guilty would make it more fun.
-
The stuff before the combo video was =(. It was lucky that I'm in the back row of my class so no one saw over my shoulder. The rest of the video was lol.
-
That tournament had to be the most spiteful tournament in the history of Blazblue tournaments.
-
Y'know, despite the hiccups of having to wait for people to finish dinner, this tournament was probably the most fun I had at a tournament in quite some time. I really can't thank you guys enough for coming out and playing games. It was the first time in a long time I got to play guilty gear with people who knew how to play, and being able to blaz without 10 seconds of input lag. I hope we can do this again, real soon. The next tournament is October 8th. At the moment, the side tournaments are up in the air. If we decide on Blaz and Guilty, I'll definitely post it up for you guys. Also, special thanks for 4r5 for stepping up to the challenge of lending us his laptop to set up the brackets. Here are the results. GG(Round Robin): 1. Abominable K -$20 2. Sesshyru 3. KomagPHL 4. NagorbMan BB: 1. DJHUOSHEN - $30 2. Mauric - $15 3. Zerp000 4. NagorbMan 5. Lud 5. Abominable K 7. Andy 7. KomagPHL 9. Klops

I posted this on the Cyberground tournament topic also, but the Maryland thread seemed appropriate too. I'm planning on going to Cyberground and setting up Guilty Gear and BlazBlue on Friday Night. I'll probably be there around 7:30-7:45ish. I was also planning on buying pizza for whoever shows up. We don't have to only play those games, and I'm halfway wishing that 4r5 will come and bring Chaos Breaker so I can try it out (and probably like it). Also, I remember someone saying something like the CRT broke a while back, does anyone know anything about that? If it is indeed broken and not replaced I can bring my TV for Guilty Gear.

Yo, I'm planning on going to Cyberground and setting up Guilty Gear and BlazBlue on Friday Night. I'll probably be there around 7:30-7:45ish. The last times I did this I just told a bunch of friends, and I wanted to extend the invitation to Dustloop this time around. I was also planning on buying pizza for whoever shows up. If you got nothing to do Friday night, come on over.
