Man In those A-cho vids, N.O. is so good and just freestyling combos with the balls, especially that counter hit HS, ball placement st.P into doobie loop that was good shit. Also his new ball placement into freeze ball was pretty dope. Looked like standard K,P, cr.p to hit them then Fb Carcass into run foward K ball set to get a frozen ball above his head... awesome. Edit: btw when did N.O. start doing the doobie loop? He even did the f.P, f.hs S.carcass combo.... this is a level'd up N.O. Edit: again... note against the baiken traded close S. into combo pretty dope.

Man Looking at the frame data for venom, how does the charge time for the carcass raid combos work? When you gatling from one move into another how many frames of recovery do you actually have betweent he gatlings.. because if it immediatly went from one activate frame to the startup of the next move the longest number of frames you'd have to charge would be 35, when you need 40 for the slash carcass raid. I don't understand:psyduck: The combo seems almost impossible to pull off in a real match! It has to be like a 1 to 2 frame window to do the cancel right... I don't know maybe its me. Also do any of you guys go for cr.s, st.hs, carcass? that also seems really tough, the cheater computer has done it to me heh. But yeah to tough. One more question for the road, do you guys mostly rely on short combos into ball setups? Or do you go for longer stuff like doobie loops and the crazy hard slash carcass combo.

its true... plus alot of setups allow you to backdash out and escape pressure. I acutally didn't know that before I messed around sbing it. Also punishing it after sb isn't like retarded easy. It's easy but not super easy. I wish you could do sb on wakeup. It kinda sucks you can't.
-
Digiwa (should be your new nickname ahhaa) - Oh well that is strange. I'll have to look at it when I get home... I wonder if I could sb your overhead instead... that move is slow like jambunker.... hmmmmmmm anyone else have moves the SB alot.. I see niga sb fireballs somtimes, when he doesn't feel like walking foward.
-
probably true. But I really didn't mean from a can you actually do the motion point of view. I don't know if I completely agree with the saftey of SBing versus parrying... whiffing a parry can very very dangerous in 3s if you guess wrong you can be in some serious trouble.. but thats beside the point, the risk reward definition still stands. I didn't about the random frame gaps between hits in the green chain though... weird and interesting. I would have assumed that after the first hit the next two hits would always follow within the same set amount of time.

I was wondering what your guys standard responses to Sol are in the following situations, 1. Sol Does Naked FRC Gunflame from about the distance a gunflame travels away a. he runs in behind it b. he airdashes after it with slash c. he just lets it ride to see what you do 2. Sol Does string into FRC Gunflame 3. Sol is ontop of you and going for string it IAD mixup specifically the dealing with gunflame stuff would be the most helpful. if he airdashes depending on distance I can sometimes 6p him out of it but the gunflame makes good follow ups hard. Plus personally I need to remember to stop trying to hit him out of it with dandy into crosswise, stupid gunflame covers him to well.

No... I looked around for it but couldn't find anything. I just got that searching for slayer stuff.

nah thats not it. But I fixed the link. I should remember to never directly copy long urls from forums....

So what are the consistent applications of it? I personally believe that it should follow the same rules as parrying at high level play in 3s. That is situtations where you feel the risk of missing the slashback is less than the reward you get for making it. For instance. If you get good at slashbacking puff balls FB you should as far as I know from the frame data be able to react the the FB flash and then slashback. So if you know you can do this everytime go for it... it would be the same as a testament who can consistently counter the fb puffball. It's always in your favor to just do it, since blocking it gets you next to nothing in alot of cases and if you try to hit it with most things you trade. Just SB it and follow up with your combo. Another good thing that is reactable to and imo should be learned to SB is Jam's 6hs the startup is enough that you should always be able to sb it on reaction no problem. There are other instances that would be helpful of course these are just some quick examples i've observed from actual play. Also what are peoples thoughts on multi-hit moves... I've been trying on green chain from axl, and can really only get the first hit the other two hit no matter how I try to sbit.

スレイヤー is apparently how you spell it with katakana (I think thats right) thanks to wiki- is there anything else I should be searching for?

whats slayer in kanji/katakana so I can do youtube searches for that? スレイヤー is apparently how you spell it with katakana (I think thats right) thanks to wiki- is there anything else I should be searching for?

just do a youtube video for slayer combo and then look for the AC vids. ALot of the stuff in the videos is adaptable to real match stuff. And watch some Niga vids. He's got the combos you need.

the two bbu thing isn't for damage its cause it looks cool, I just love the way it looks when it crosses under them and still combos it's like an ass bump that shoots them to the sky hahaha.
-
So I don't know the complete list yet but for sure on baiken and bridget after your normal stomp into BBU combo you can do a 6h, c.5s into air combo does about the same damage as the 5h IAD dust relaunch combos and is much easier on these light weights at least for me. You can also relaunch with another bbu after the 6h if you hit them at the right point but the damage you get for this isn't that fantastic. Also on bridget ch 2hs, bbu 6hs 5hs pilebanger... is fun.
-
I just thought of this last night and it works for some good damage. In corner, CH 2k, c.s xx pb RC 6p, p into standard air combo for character... it does hella damage. And depending on the follow up after the p on some characters you can do another pilebanger on the end for fun and style points.

I am sad that no one believed me... But whateva. Now Mike Z has come in with the smack down. Good shit!

Why is it so hard to believe that the system is all ganked like that on the way throw breaks work (IE any special move with a hs breaks throws) This is guilty gear, new systems are generally a little ganked..... Plus it sort of makes sense with guilty gears whole transmute properties shit it does on soo much stuff... Also I can't envision a way to test whether the command grab was getting teched or the hs was tecing the throw that I would really believe even showing it on video wouldn't really do anything because it'd just look like a one frame tech with the bite whiffing... and thats what should happen if you tech a throw with the bite.....
-
It's not techable it just goes into the whiff when it techs the throw... you are teching their throw they aren't teching your command grab.
-
hmmm I don't know... what happens when you try and option select grab as someone grabs, do you tech a throw or does the other person just get hit?
-
Thats what happens... You actually tech the throw with the bite, the bite isn't techable, happens with anything that has any throw vulnerable special with HS in it that ends at back or fowards. Try it with fausts unblockable... it's hilarious, you tech the throw and then they bounce into the slashes... I think if I remember you can easily combo afterwards.
-
actually I've found as long as you walk foward a step before hs, you can do the HS iad dust combos on basically everyone from any range a BBU connects
-
Also I don't think the old school standard combo c.p, c.s is a chain anymore, it's a link now so it's a lot harder, I miss that more than anything else.
-
But that ain't fancy! Everyone does that shit, my combo much cooler cause it involves pilebunker. haah.
