Guard Crush happening all the time would be quite stupid, but I have faith in ArcSys. What I'm finding interesting is that, judging from Ragna's Dead Spike in this pic and the Dead Spike in the trailer, it seems that Ragna has 2 versions of Dead spike, and since it wasn't listed that Ragna got a new Dead Spike, seems like the larger one is his Crush Trigger version. Therefore, can it be said that the Crush Trigger version of moves have, at least, different hitboxes, and at most different frame data and different properties as well? Like a ghetto FB? -
LOL what the hell is the range on that thing? Might be the A+B trigger crush version.

Listen, I don't want to derail this thread, so I'll continue this on your profile's conversation wall (so that anyone interested can watch). Agreed? (Y/N) Let the BBCP hype continue. EDIT: So, after more info has been revealed, seems like Overdrive is a pretty cool concept. It's like getting the choice to power up yourself at the cost of giving up your defensive Burst (till the thing recharges), or so it seems. Provided they implement this correctly (i.e. not make it like X-factor), it'd be pretty cool in the game. The problem I see with its current implementation in the loketests is that it is tied to health- the lower your health, the longer the duration. This reeks (yes, reeks) of comeback mechanic. Personally, I don't want that. I'd like to see the duration linked to something else- maybe use extra meter to make it have longer duration or something, but that's just me. -

I never said that. GG's gold burst system is actually really good. BB's is different. The rewards off of GG gold burst is really good (full meter in a game that thrives on it? godlike), even better than BB's. -

That had a huge cost, and are limited to 2 at most in a whole match. If gold bursts were any worse than they are now, they'd be shitty. I already said I know what "kusoge" means, I was asking what "kusoge" elements did BBCSEX have? Also, Kusoru is named such because: Kuso = Shit and Soru = Sol as in Sol Badguy (he plays Sol Badguy in GG in a very unorthodox way). Hence Kuso + Soru = Kusoru. -

KF, I'll break your post since it's easier to answer that way: I don't understand what "uncombo" means, could you clarify? And GG has the same thing, yet you don't see people complaining about that. I agree with this, particular distortions were stupid, yet they could've just tweaked those distortions. And none of them were close to gamebreaking, not even FRKZ, which was the stupidest of the lot (followed closely by f of g), Bang is still A-tier even with FRKZ. Gold bursts had a huge cost. Using Gold bursts meant you had to sacrifice the chance to use a green burst in a match, an option that is pretty useful in the game. That balanced it out. And everyone had access to gold bursts, don't quite get what you meant by it giving certain characters advantages over others. A glitch is a glitch, not an intentional mechanic. It was just recently discovered, through P4U, and would be easily fixed. Not only that, it was highly impractical for most of the cast. No, it's not pretty outlandish, BBCSEX in terms of design is really good. It's a bit stale, though. Err... forgive my ignorance, but what "kusoge" elements? (I know what "kusoge" means, btw) I already said this in my first post, but I'm aware that it's day 1 of loketest, and it's too early to panic. And I hope CP does turn out to be pretty balanced. -

I was playing BB since the beginning of CT on console (but made an account on Dustloop around the tome of CT>CS), but CT>CS felt like they were removing any bad idea mechanics and tried fixing the ones that were decent (even though it took them 2 more revisions to get it right). CSEX , even if a bit stale by now, felt good and balanced. I don't get why they're changing major mechanics so drastically NOW, when they've already nearly perfected them. -

Ok, thoughts about CP, since I just woke up and read everything: WTF happened to BB? The changes are so drastic this time around. Overdrives? Crush triggers? It hardly seems like a game from the samw franchise as Extend. And all this when the game was acheiving a good balance between the cast, they just throw a wrench - no, not a wrench - a goddamn toolbox at it. But, I guess it's too early to panic, really, so I'll just keep reading. Also it's only the first loketest, and i remember first extenfloketest where bursts used up meter... So everything is up in the air. all i wish for, though, is that it feels like BB and that the metagame balance gets better, or at least not worse. -
^LOLNOPE BE seems to have the initial hit from CS1 BE, but the last hit knocks them away like CSEX. I just hope they give Ragna's moves Clean-hit properties. Then he can be just like his dad.

Something to keep in mind: V-13 has a big chance to be BB:CP's sword murakumo since it was shown she was regenerating at the end of BBCS's true end. Also, ArcSys is not known to drop characters from games. So don't despair yet. -
