  1. It's more of playing the risk reward game with Faust and scaring him out of using f.s. CH 5h leads to corner and 200 damage while his scalpel does 40 or so. Indeed it isn't a solid game plan but based on risk reward alone, Faust needs to guess correctly 5 times while Ramlethal just needs 1 to get it all back. For sure the chance that you get that 5h CH is way lower than Faust getting his f.s, but if you do get it not only does Ramlethal get into the optimal position to destroy Faust, but Faust also just lost half his health. Once he's scared out of using f.s in neutral, the ground game becomes a lot easier and that's when Ramlethal can move on to bullying Faust with her own f.s since Faust is deprived of using his own f.s in fear that he's going to lose the round just because he presses it.
  2. After labbing for a bit around Faust's f.s, I found out that pretty much anything beats it as long as your move is faster since Faust's f.s extends his hurtbox so much. What do you guys think about throwing random equipped 5h from time to time since it's active for 9 frames and will hit Faust if he tries to do a f.s as long as it is active. Of course you get smacked if you miss but you will most likely eat a scalpel if it does miss while if you hit you get a 5h CH into huge damage.
  3. In theory it shouldn't be possible if the opponent is dead in the corner and there's no move with vacuum effect being used. I tested for 2h, j.2h, j.k and j.2s none of them pull the opponent out of the corner on block. Another reason might be because j.8d somehow pulls the opponent out of the corner when it hits though I never seen that happen before. Of course, there's also always the possibility that Roz chose to walk slightly forward at that very instance and let Dei cross him up.
  4. The moves that he is using don't vacuum the opponent. Clarification required on how he's doing it.
  5. I'm also very used to playing Ramlethal with S sword equipped and H sword deployed, which sucks against Faust because of the aforementioned 6h whiffing and that f.s isn't as dominant as it is because of Faust's superior f.s. A friend told me it might be better to go ham on Faust completely instead of playing footsies with him, because Ramlethal only needs one hit to potentially win while Faust needs to chuck a lot more scalpels at Ramlethal before she dies.
  6. Played against Faust at a-cho and it was a horrendous nightmare. Even Zato and Millia were winnable at times but Faust is a completely different ball game with his f.s and j.h. Not to mention 6h completely whiffing on him crouching is also very annoying. Help needed on fighting Faust in neutral. Feels like once he throws mini-Faust or meteors, my game is lost.
  7. I mean do random Trance when Sol's DI is ending and run inside it so he can't hit you.
  8. As long as you don't let Sol run behind you and 5k while you are jumping, the matchup shouldn't be too problematic. Also if he ever uses DI I would say chuck both your swords out and hide behind Trance when his DI is ending. Even if the Trance misses you are well protected and you can punish him after with a raw Daruo.
  9. Respect her dumb normals. Anything that ends in frame disadvantage is horrible against May as compared to other chars, so blocked 5ppp and Daruo can be a lot worse than in other matchups. Daruo her if she tries to toss a beachball.
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong but using a DAA after a buzzsaw lockdown has a pretty good chance of hitting because most Zato players will advance forward to continue pressure while Eddie reels backwards from doing the buzzsaw. If you are outside the corner, you just got to block whatever comes next. Alternatively, you can man up and backdash, which will probably cost you a combo if the Zato player is good and can convert from airborne buzzsaw but it will get you out of his pressure since the combo will end with you teching in the air.

  12. How to fight Millia Tandem Top oki: Jump beats everything except meaty 2k. Backdash beats meaty 2k. If you are cornered, life is hard and you need to block.
  13. The matchup threads are above, but I'll answer this here anyway. Toss out your swords. Unless the player is very good at controlling both Zato and Eddie simultaneously, he's going to have a very hard time dodging them and remember that any blocked sword will cause Eddie to disappear, making the neutral game a lot easier to play since Eddie isn't on the field. For me I just throw the H sword out. Random trance in neutral isn't very good against Zato either because he can fly. Sometimes you can get it off with reacting to players already using their double jump or airdash but unfortunately flight exists. Respect Invite Hell because it's a good move. Respect Break the Law YRC because it's broken, unless for some reason he decides to Break the Law until he's next to you, in which case you might want to try 4ppppp to catch him even if he YRCes.
  14. Ramlethal isn't really difficult to play. If you ever have doubt in neutral just do rising j.p, see what your opponent does next and react accordingly.
  15. As per topic, how is it done?
  16. Forgot what the combo is but I remember that delaying the next move after the homing dash and turning Eddie into a mine when the camera shifts are good ways to clear the trial. I don't think Zato's challenges were all that useful, but they do give some insight on the combo routes of this character.
  17. On the topic of dusts, you can move Eddie and make him do things when Zato is in the middle of a dust cutscene. You can do 5d release d and Eddie will turn into a mine when the camera shifts.
  18. Do you mind linking me a vid where invite hell YRC is done? I feel like it's either impossible or too hard to be done. Also on the topic of corners, if you throw an opponent back into the corner, 5k lets them air tech out for free now so 5k 22s doesn't work anymore. Are there any other better options?
  19. Yeah they will block it perfectly because they can read the high and low frame perfect. I'm still having a lot of trouble learning to play Zato. Specifically, how to control the air and ground using both Eddie and Zato together. Micro is harsh.

  21. I thought Rise actually had pretty high damage compared to everyone else.
  22. I actually don't think scan is very useful outside of trying to get in with disc and certain arrow rain unblockable setups. Shouldn't be an active part of your gameplan. If you manage to get a 5d off and your opponent doesn't punish you for it, you can hold 5d and dash in, releasing d when you feel like they would try to punish your running in. That's normally how most people get scanned for me, and then I toss a disc after that to get in. Also, scan messes up disc combos. You normally want it after a combo for free disc get in.
  23. Speaking of invite hell rc, I think you can do 5s 5h 22s rc shadow gallery 5d into unblockable setup in the corner.
  24. Corner command grab UB setup Shadow Gallery dash 5d into stuff.
