In some cases i use 63214 b/c to jump over lambda's 5d. C version can cross over some chars in corner after 3c ender. Other than that, i use it for flailing (and failing) around =/
-
Sorry but i didn't play much of GG... what's wrong with bridget? Haha. Thought she was actually quite fun haha
-
Does 6C[m] 5D still leave you positive? I don't know, i don't actually get to start a lot of combos off it in cs2, so i don't feel too strongly wrt the nerf on it. Always thought it was more of spacing tools though the dmg off it is very much welcome hah.
-
thanks WoZ and LK for the clarification! the j.B j.C hatsu haku chun part looks really weird (and probably height dependant) though haha
-
seems like they are again trying to remove her corner carry (4D nerf, jBCB removal, throw change) can i ask though, is there any change in her rekka such that from tanki hatsu, the guy did not go for hatsu haku chun?
-
proration on last hit of daisharin is very bad. that haku follow-up did 20dmg >.> other than that, her staffless normal chains very fast i think? even the air staffless normals.

posted on the general video thread by pktazn: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm15812358 the video shows quite a bit of the cs extend litchi, which looks a little sad haha. shishin seems to be buffed in the distance it travels though, so that may be good
-
isn't the spin like ragna's dead spike spin? o.O
-
@Nini: depends how you start the combo, off a chun with no staff in sight you probably will go into jBCB for damage and corner carry too. off other things there are usually better alternatives, but bcb will be one of the main combo route staffless.
-
anyone know who is the yellow/gold litchi in some of the recent a-cho videos? his play isn't as strong as galileo for sure, but he has very interesting approach and gimmicks.
-
this is general discussion indeed

just watched the chiba ranbat. the commentator... sure loves to imitate the voices >.> but he's really funny to listen to haha

Daisharin is good but not broken i feel. In cs1 it felt so much worse due to how much dmg and meter she gets frm a successful oki, and also practically any combo WILL bring you to corner and give her enough meter to daisharin even though she may have started a combo with 0. Coupled with ridiculous movement options, 2c anti air into itsuuA, that was what made cs1 litchi broken. In cs2 though, she lost some of the easy corner carry. Her dmg is no longer off the charts too. It is more possible to zone her too, such that she doesnt force you into corner where she together with her staff can buttsecks you to death. This is especially true for chars that are built to be able to zone, like haz, 11, rachel etc. Daisharin is still strong, but the lacm in other areas tone down her gameplay a little. Recent vids show that people who avoid the corner against her tend to win the match. Against some chars though she still has some adv, probably noel and tager (my guess, take it with a lot of salt please) As for ara, it's best not to underestimate him. He may not be doing much damage pre curse, but you are probably nt doing much ro him too. Also, carelessly ruahing him can give him the advantage. Given his awkward air movement i also find it quite hard to read him. I am no expert but this is my 2cent (: EDIT: again, if there's any critical error in my post please tell me (: i'm still trying to learn as much as most others here are, so any info will bw appreciated

not like itsuu loop had more elegance :S it was much longer too, which is why people hated us in CS1 lol

hmm i tried -> 5b2ctsubame, ->5b tsubame, -> tsubame right away. all three didn't hit the opponent with the staff coming down, but i still can't combo from any haha. i guess maybe i shd try other combos first. yeah i agree that CS2 litchi seems to have more interesting play, though i'm worried about mid-screen game where she can't effectively bring people to corner easily anymore. still possible with proper starter though. as for Jin's 6a, i have never seen it followed up with a combo without meter.

i'm trying to learn japanese mahjong but the rules are so different from hongkong and singapore mahjong that i normally play o.o on fatal 6a[m] can still lead to pretty good dmg i think anw i tried doing 6b CH -> glide -> 5b -> 2c -> tsubame etc, but i can never link anything after tsubame. is this only possible in CS2? EDIT: i just realized there's a 6a[m] combo posted by Kenny few pages back
-
on a slightly more related but pretty much still not, any1 here actually plays mahjong?
-
Picked Tao initially during CT, but she was a little bit fast for me, so I played around with other chars that looked easy to use (Bang, Noel). Didn't really like any of those, so I decided to try Litchi, and surprisingly she isn't as difficult to use as I thought at first. Her corner-rape in CT was also fun beyond words. Stuck with her since then, through ups (CS1) and down (not yet, but hopefully she never ends up in Z tier).

That's some really nice stuff. Though the crossing hit 6b sounds like we will need to practice quite a bit to do consistently. But yeahhhh she's lOoking decent!
-
I'm pretty sure that haku and follow-up haku count as two different moves so there shouldn't be any issue with repeat proration
-
weird why they would have repeat proration on staff 6b o.O is there even any reason why it would be done more than once in a combo? anw on a random note, i think i saw a vid whereby litchi does 3C CH -> 2D -> 2/5D and mantenbou hits the opponent into a valid combo. i guess this makes 3C slightly more useful haha.
-
the a-cho matches recently posted have some litchis in it, and they are pretty interesting to watch i think.
-
@shinkada: for one, litchi's staffless jC is just like mu's j2C or 3C (assuming you use mu, judging from your ava). making it techable removes a lot of options for her. debatable whether this is fair or not, but the point is that it is kind of special. and comparing with 2C isn't fair as they are used for different things. anyway, back on topic: i'm still not sure what they want litchi to be =/ the 4th test seems to return quite some things she had.
