  1. NCSU isn't an option? Nobody has a portable monitor?
  2. Fuck Platinum. That stupid bi-polar May. Also, people should try to make it to this: http://shoryuken.com/forum/threads/jun-18-2011-luckys-redemtion-greensboro-nc-06-18-2011-greensboro-nc.137449/ I'm going.
  3. Depending on the number of people who show up, I can host a session at my place or my office (for groups of 6+) on weekends. Though for both cases, it would be great if someone could bring an extra setup (monitor + system). I'm getting a 36" SD TV for my living room, so if anyone wants to play GG also... Otherwise, any place in Raleigh to meet up?
  4. Oh, nice. If this keeps up, we might have the momentum to get a gathering going. What days (and time of day) are best for people to meet up? Which city is the most convenient? Still trying to get a feel for the community, especially since this uncommonly high activity may mean new people in the community (myself included).
  5. I'm actually working at UNC-CH and living right next to it. I suppose I could host, but I only have a small 22" sd tv in my living room.
  6. Sam, you lied, you said nobody checks this thread. If I found something at UNC-CH on weekends that could hold, say 8 people, would anyone come? Parking is free on weekends. Otherwise, are people willing to meet up at EZ on some Fridays? Other suggestions, like someone kind enough with a decent enough place for us to have sessions? Edit: I've been told that the Talley Student Center and D.H Library @ NCSU are also possibilities. Anyone in the Raleigh area want to check those places out? I'm thinking we could try doing bi-weekly (or whatever fits peoples' schedules) sessions.
  7. Hey Titanium Beast, are there any weekly sessions that go you to for BB? I started looking at the SRK NC thread, but it looks like this is the place to post for BB. You're the closest to me in terms of distance (UNC-CH) so I figured I'd ask. Also, never been to Animazement. Can I just walk into the game room? Is there a best day to go for that?
  8. Hi all. Just wanted to say I moved to Chapel Hill (right next to UNC). Anyone near here play BB? I'm also on PSN as not_madt3apar7y.
  9. Just because Mori made it, don't assume he's good at BB.
  10. Starting earlier or changing it to single elimination doesn't solve all the problems. After feeling cheated out of a Saturday/tournament, I suggest that whenever there's a high turnout, maybe 18 or more, we: Use pools. Maybe groups of 3 or 4 where winner goes on. It's a little unfair, but at least people won't have to wait 2 hours in between matches and it's easier to make sure friends don't play each other. I think that's how KSK's gamersvision ran 3S ranbats. Then use brackets. Have an even number of pools and then bracket that, then run it as if it's a smaller tournament. Not that I'd go to any more tournaments anyway.
  11. Someone steal/make/bring those beeper things that classy-ish fast food places have for when you need to pick up your order.
  12. Sounds like a race challenge to me, Stormlocke. Just think of this mode as Trans Am and you might be able to think you're a robot. I'll see you at the broken finish line.
  13. The only thing I haven't seen used so far is Chipp's 46 command on the wall. It's pretty useless, but here's something decent to do after an air throw and the opponent is in the corner: Air dash into the corner (crossover fakeout), low 46, 2D. It works best when you're invisible. I put it in the first "combo" of this video (of terrible terrible quality): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yxRkbOyWMA
