  1. Awesome, a person. Will be contacting you through profile pages when I get the chance. I knew there had to be some kind of community out there...
  2. I've got some more BlazBlue cosplay pics, I've been collecting them for a while now. Just, I don't know what's been posted in this thread already, and I don't really want to sift through 40 pages to find out (although on a rainy day I probably will, just to bolster my collection). Also just to clarify, that's not me or my photograph, credits are in the top left of the first pic.
  3. I'd support something like this despite being a newbie. Ads would suck though...
  4. Meh... I once saw this amazing Tao cosplay with glowing eyes and all, I think I may still have the pics but I'm not sure. Edit: Found them:
  5. CT was my first competitive fighter, screwed around with Jin for a long time learning tiny combos (no BNBs or anything), mostly the game mechanics. After a while I picked up Hakumen, realized he was everything I wanted in a character and suited my playstyle perfectly, and continued learning the game mechanics while learning tiny combos with him for maybe like, 8 hours a week or something. That dropped off after a while though, until CS was released. I guess that's when I really started learning him competitively. To be honest I still wouldn't label myself as proficient with him though. So I guess 2 years (as of like, 4 days ago I think) on and off, ongoing.
  6. Bump, how about anybody in Atlantic Canada then. Anyone...? Anyone...? BlazBlue...? BlazBlue...? Bueller...? Bueller...?
  7. Thanks; I'll also learn to pose as well, haha.
  8. This is my first cosplay, did it for Animaritimes 2010 in Moncton, NB (Canada). Really small con. As you may have noticed I'm missing the wig, and my mask basically sucked. However, I plan on improving everything drastically for next year.
  9. Thanks a lot, I'll be certain to give that a try.
  10. I was going to make a new thread for this, but it would probably be safer to try asking here first since it's (mostly) relevant. I've been trying to beat Score Attack since I got the game, and quite simply I can't seem to do it by conventional means. That is, I can't win with my main. Typically I get to UHaku then lose in round three after falling ass-backwards into a lucky win. One thing that makes this all the more difficult is that I don't own a second controller (loser, I know) and I'm living away from home so I can't borrow any of my friends' controllers. I've considered buying a second one solely to do this, but I'm short on money and don't care quite that much. So basically I've got one shot at each match and that's it. Now, I recently tried Score Attack with Tager (who I only play casually once in a blue moon as like, a sixth sub) and found it extremely easy to get past UHaku with buster shenanigans and whatnot. However, then I get raped by UHazama. So yeah, I've got a very important question that makes this post actually related to the thread. I've heard that the CPUs on SA don't tend to react to 360B after a Gadget Finger, resulting in a sort of loop. When I do a 360 followed by Gadget Finger, I'm only able to catch them with 360B occasionally, probably about 50/50. Is there a particular timing to this? And does this work on UHazama? Sorry for posting SA questions like a scrub, but I think it's time I finally beat the damn thing, and if I have to resort to the power of science to do so, then so be it. Also at the risk of pushing my luck here, any tips for UHazama in general? Matchup thread really didn't help me at all. Thanks.
  11. Thanks, I'll definitely give it some consideration.
  12. Thanks for the replies, guys. Maybe I'll assemble a mini-community of my own one day. =)
  13. Hey guys, I only got seriously involved in fighters with the console release of BBCT and have been playing pad the entire time (on 360). I've been quite reluctant to switch over to stick, due to a number of reasons: 1. College student (self-explanatory). 2. Afraid I won't be able to do IADs as well as I used to (I use them quite often, probably more than I should). 3. Unsure if a stick would suit my needs. Regarding the first point... cash isn't a huge issue right now, so realistically I would be able to buy a stick without my finances suffering terrible casualties; it's more the matter of me not wanting to spend money if I don't have to. Second point I'm sure somebody will be able to cover for me... another reason I wonder is because it took me quite a while until I was able to execute IADs flawlessly and on command, due to the fact that I basically had to learn fighting games from the ground up with BBCT. Not sure how much of that was unique to pad, and whether I'll have to go through the entire process again with stick. Finally... I'm living away from friends and family for school right now, and despite my efforts to find some sort of BB community in the area I've been largely unsuccessful (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada... Anybody? Anybody?). Compounded with the fact that I don't have Live right now, I've been playing mostly against computers lately (which I realize is terrible in itself). Until I get Live, is there really a point to getting a stick? Even when I do go back home form school,my group's only got like five guys - only about three of which are ever able to meet at a time - and the area is pretty dead for gaming (Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada... Not even going to ask). Learning curve doesn't really concern me that much, as long as it's certain I'll be able to relearn everything I knew (including IADs!). I'd really like to hear somebody's thoughts on the matter, since despite my enthusiasm regarding the game I don't think my circumstances are ideal to embrace it.
  14. Is there anybody in Nova Scotia who'd be interested in some kind of get-together?:8/:
  15. A good friend of mine picked it up after seeing it featured in a Penny Arcade strip. We were more into party games like Super Smash Bros. at the time, but fighters were something we had always wanted to get into (played MvC2, Mortal Kombat, and a few other random fighters casually for a long time). BlazBlue was essentially everything we'd ever wanted in a fighter, with beautiful graphics and a very diverse cast that we'd enjoy exploring. Now we're hooked and looking to become more competitive.
